This is the second time I have eaten here. The first time I came here I wanted to try out the sushi with wasn’t bad but was a little soggy. Then I ordered there teriyaki not good at all very little meat little sauce and alot of fried lettuce. I will not be coming back here to eat again I gave it a second chance and the food ducks still.

The rolls were delicious and affordable and it was ready very quickly. The only issue is that they do not accept credit card.

Every time we order from this place the delivery takes over an hour, I get double meat every time and I can count on both hands how many pieces of meat I got. I usually get extra sauce and I never get it. This has to be the worst service I’ve ever gotten.

I don’t live anywhere near this neighborhood, but sometimes when I’m feelin’ like a good jaunt and night drive around town is in order, I like to scope out new places. As the name tells you, call head and grab what you’d like to-go. The establishment itself is clean and no frills. Even with it being located near a busy, street-parking-is-hard-to-find intersection I was in and out in less than 2 minutes. The prices are crazy delightful, the service is prompt and courteous and the food is pretty tasty. I ordered the chicken and shrimp teriyaki($ 7.45), a specialty sushi roll($ 8) and a side of kani salad(~$ 4). It wasn’t the best teriyaki I’ve ever had, but it was hot, had good flavor with plenty of chicken and shrimp. The sushi roll was DELICIOUS and the kani salad was tasty as well. This is a great spot for those nights when you might have that serious hibachi/sushi craving, but it’s not quite payday. You’ll be satisfied and fed in no time. Check ‘em out!

Excellent sushi. Terrible teriyaki. Focus on the sushi, which is cheap and delicious, and you’ll be happy.

Amazing prices! Most rolls I’ve gotten have been super over the top delicious! Some of the very cheap rolls were not the best ever, but still really good for their price. They don’t skimp on the ingredients. Free delivery, highly recommend!

Quality has gone down since the last time I ordered here. My last order was really bad and they messed it up. Probably gonna have to find a sushi place that delivers

The reviews on here are generally pretty positive so we must have caught an extremely off day. This was without a doubt some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had. Every aspect was bad, it tasted like they had no idea how to make sushi rice, the seaweed tasted off, the eel sauce had a strange burnt taste, the ginger was woody and sour. The wasabi was okay! The tofu teriyaki was also decent. But in terms of sushi I would never go back.

After I leave the subway, if I crave sushi, I go in here. Every time I’ve ordered, the person who takes my order is always nice. Waiting is reasonable. They have a couple tables to dine in but it’s better to eat at work or home only because it’s really small inside. My go to orders are shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna roll, which are on the small side but great for the price. And the chicken teriyaki is always good and hot.

This place is my go to sushi take out. You honestly can’t beat the prices and the food is delicious as well. I usually get the same thing which is their Christmas Roll and then I get a Sweet Potato Avocado Roll & Cream. Fast Delivery too!

There aren’t many sushi places way down in South Philly. This super cheap, cash only, hole in the wall gives us our fix in a pinch. We usually get takeout and picnic in FDR park close by the kiddos or grab take out for a rainy Friday night. It’s convenient, decent and reminds me of one of my favorite quick sushi places in the northeast, Kyoto that I wish would open up in the city. I get the big salad with extra dressing and some veggie rolls. A decent takeout option close by.

I usually order from Toyotomi but for some reason it was closed today and I couldn’t kick my sushi craving. I called and ordered one shrimp tempura roll and two california rolls, as well a bottle of soda. It came to a total of about $ 15. The lady on the phone was really nice and it was a hassle free process. I live 7 – 10 minutes away and my food got here really fast. I think it’s one of the fastest deliveries I’ve ever had! The sushi was nothing special but it was rather cheap and convenient. I’m hesitant to give this place more than 3 stars though because the shrimp tempura seemed way over cooked(burned maybe, too crunchy and some parts charred), and the cali rolls were just fine. The packaging was also a little off in my opinion. It came in one box, which is to be expected, but everything was really packed tight in there when I first got it, and my ginger(which I love) was covered in wasabi. Also, in the past I’ve had their beef teriyaki. It’s really cheap, maybe 5 or 6 bucks, but you truly get what you pay for. I probably won’t order from here again unless my go tos are closed for some reason. Also, if you do order from here, I suggest avoiding the tempura and any cooked entrée.

Best sushi place in south Philly… large selection of rolls! In the past, I have tried the the spider roll, the shrimp tempura, the dragon(not sure if this is the full name) roll, the eel roll, the salmon roll, the avocado salad, the seaweed salad, the kani salad, and the shrimp/tofu teriyaki… all very delicious with the exception of the kani salad. Prices are fairly reasonable as well.

The sushi arrived warm and tasty. I got the sassy roll, the Godzilla roll, dragon roll, eel and cucumber, and shrimp tempura roll. They were all tasty and it’s cheap.

Ordered lunch from here today. The 3 roll lunch special is a great value! Also ordered miso soup and Kani salad– both were okay but not the best I’ve ever had. I thought the sushi was pretty good for the price and it arrived earlier than expected. The delivery guy was also very nice. Would order from here again next time I’m lazy and craving sushi.

I don’t understand how this place can have so many good reviews. The food is not good. I feel a little guilty because the people are nice and everything, but this is some of the worst sushi I have ever had. I have tried this place at least 3 times in the hopes that it would get better, but the sushi just tastes old and has that fishy quality to it that fresh seafood shouldn’t have. I have also tried the chicken teriyaki, and I don’t know how it even qualifies as teriyaki. The chicken doesn’t even look like chicken, and it’s covered in a gross syrupy sauce that doesn’t taste anything like teriyaki. I’m not even sure it’s real chicken meat. Anyways, I am finally giving up on this place once and for all, which is so disappointing because I love sushi and it would be nice to have a convenient place like this

Small little spot right on the corner of Rosewood and Snyder. 2 tables inside to sit at, but, one of them is atleast always occupied. Though, I usually also go during the later afternoon and evening. Got the kani salad(which can easily feed 2+) and the winter roll for myself, plus, a Philly Roll for bae for about $ 21. That didn’t include beverages since I had my own and he bought something mid-meal. Probably would of been closer to $ 25 which isn’t too bad for the portion size and quality. My only complaint is the variety of the rolls. There is a bit to choose from, but, a lot of them are fried, have cream cheese, or both. Not really my thing, though, I do sometimes get tempura sushi. I much more prefer seafood, veggies, and sauces purely. Will return. Most likely for lunch since it is only $ 7.95 and $ 10.95 for 2 – 3 roll combos which is always great.

I give it 5 stars for overall value and convenience. Frankly, there is better sushi in the city but it has the best in the south Philly area. Very fairly priced and is very quick/hassle free with ordering/service. The chicken teriyaki is on point, and is only 5 dollars. I’ve tried a few of the special rolls as well and they were surprisingly amazing. Cash only in-store but you can use card on grub hub. Will be consistently ordering from here as long as I live in south Philly.

Great sushi! Fast delivery! It could of been colder. And the tempura taste as though the grease wasn’t too fresh but all in all I would order again

Decent sushi. I actually ordered delivery. Got 24 pieces of sushi for around 15 bucks. Definitely very filling. The wait time wasn’t too bad. There are lots of orders from this spot as it’s one of the few places that specializes in sushi and sashimi in the area. However, I know making rolls is an art form so do not expect the best sushi you will ever have. Expect a spot like this to be a fast food takeout spot because it is basically that. Great fast food joint though for sure. I actually came here when it first opened up several years ago. If you want some good sushi, try this spot out.
