This place has the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. Their pastries are beyond amazing. Everything about this place is wonderful. Meg is a heaven sent from up above!

This place is a great little café! I came here with 2 friends around 9:30 on a Saturday morning before a hike at Wissahickon. This place gets very busy and there are not many tables, so I am glad we got there on the(somewhat) earlier side. We were lucky to snag a table! I ordered a café mocha and it was delicious! They also have non-dairy items for my friends who prefer those options! The coffee here was great! For my breakfast, I did the«build your own» crêpe, and even though I was tempted by the sweet options, I went the savory route. I am so glad I did, it was absolutely fantastic! I also ordered with my eyes and got the mini apple pie to share with my friends at the table. Probably one of the best apple pies I have ever eaten! My friend got the pumpkin bar with brown butter icing, and even though Pumpkin isn’t my favorite, this was a fantastic dessert. The pastry window here is very dangerous! I am glad I had bought the dessert to share, because the crêpe was huge, but it was so worth tasting everything! The staff is extremely friendly, and the patrons(many locals, families, etc.) seem very friendly as well. My only negative is the tight seating area. As I write this review, I am salivating thinking about the next time I can come here!

Stopped in here before going on a hike at Wissahickon park and was super impressed! This place is really quaint and very busy on the weekends — I’d imagine earlier is better, but I could be wrong. The crowd was a mixture of locals: kids, families, and your average coffee lover. I ordered a chai tea made with rice milk(ps… this is the first coffee shop that I’ve ever been to that offers rice milk as non-dairy option and I was super impressed) and I «built» my own crêpe. Not knowing the size of the quiche, I was also tempted by a pumpkin bar topped with brown butter icing in the pastries window(damn you, pasties window!). While the pumpkin bar was like a bite of heaven, I definitely did not need so much food because the crêpe was huge! A friend got the mini apple pie, which was also delicious with her crêpe and we agreed it was too much food. The space is tight though and it was hard to find an open table at 9:30 on a Saturday morning. I thought it was a little pricey before I tasted anything that we got, but I was thoroughly surprised with the taste so I’m over it now. I highly recommend if you are in the area!

I visit this coffee shop about once a week and don’t regret the $ 5+ I spend on a soy latte. I like to think of it as a weekly treat to myself. Sometimes I go when I just need something to prepare me for my one hour commute. The first time I visited this place I almost drank my latte with no sugar added. Usually I need about 5 or 6 to cut the bitterness. High Point showed me how a good latte is supposed to taste! And while the coffee is the star here, the baked goods are not to be forgotten. This place is the real deal and if you are in the area(or near the area) go there for your coffee fix. You won’t regret it. One star subtracted for the prices only. Comparable to any other place, but to me all of these coffee shops charge too much. High Point makes up for it with their fast service and friendly staff. On my second visit, they remembered my drink. No lie!

I came back to change my review. I was a little hard on the place(blame the I need more caffeine headache!) I’ve been here more regularly since then and it’s become my favorite neighborhood coffee shop. Pricey, but well brewed. The café treats are fresh and well made as well. Lattes are great!

This coffeeshop has two locations, one at the Allens Lane train stop and this one, kitty corner from the Weavers Way coop grocer. They are an institution in west my. airy. Pretty much everyone in the hood comes here, so its going to be bustling at all times of the day, which I love. Not a place to get work done, as you will rarely find a quiet table. The greatest plus of this place are the baked goods, which are all homemade. Their egg poppers are amazing, and their lavender cupcakes are insane. They roast their own coffee, too, which is a very old school thing to do. The only real negative ate the prices, which are consistently higher than Starbucks, which docks them a point.

This is a great independent neighborhood coffee house. I just discovered it recently(after going to Mt. Airy Family Practice down the street) and I couldn’t wait to return. Delicious crepes(choose sweet or savory, there are dozens of options, each about $ 7), plus great baked goods. I am a huge Americano fan and they make an excellent one for about $ 3. There’s inside seating for about 12 or 15 people plus a few seats outside if weather permits. When it’s busy, it gets crowded, so if you’re in a rush, this may not be the spot for you, but if you’re a fan of small and local business, go here and allow yourself 2 extra minutes, it’s worth your time! The staff is friendly and personable, and work hard. P. S. I am a bit dumbfounded at the reviews saying it is pricey. Compared to what? I pay the same at other independent coffee shops.

I LOVE you this place! Always treated like a favorite customer even though I only stop when visiting Philly. Their baked goods are phenomenal and their coffee and espresso drinks are the best!

Do yourself a huge favor and order a pistachio cream turnover. It is a pocket of flaky dough with pistachio paste inside, and a very subtle, light citrusy glaze brushed along the top. Amazingly perfect! The brewed coffee is excellent and the chai tea has a nice spicy flavor. I am not a huge fan of the espresso drinks, but everything else is excellent. It can also get pretty crowded in there, especially on the weekends.

My boyfriend and I went here early one weekend and had a really nice time. The coffee was pretty average, but the food was so yummy! It was the first time he had ever had a savory crêpe, and with High Point’s high quality crêpe the bar has been set pretty high for the next crepes we have! The only negative is the small size of the café, we were able to squish into a wobbly little table by the window, but we barely had enough room to keep our elbows to ourselves…

Fatastic! I’ve even purchased gift cards to here for children’s birthday gifts. Their gluten free goodies are wonderful. Do not miss the turnovers. A real Mt Airy joint.

Rad little spot in Mt. Airy village. Didn’t know the little row of shops existed until the other day. High Point café is a perfect little shop. Had a lemon cake/tart and it was awesome. Cold brew was on point. Friendly service, great location, good coffee. 4 stars for sure!

This staff is smooth. Super sweet and helpful, patient with annoying questions, and rather hipster/artsy which I appreciate immensely, personally. The customer base is meh, but the staff is awesome. Only place I can get an unsweetened non-dairy latte outside of center city. There’s a mocha with fresh orange that is irresistible. They also carry gluten free pastries!

The best service I’ve ever received at a coffee shop. Becky is perfect and she always makes my partner and I feel welcome and ready to take on the day! Love this place.

I had heard good things about this place but, truly, it is a tiny little hallway. We went in there and it was jam packed, mega loud and total chaos. I can’t imagine how anyone would ever sit in there to eat unless maybe it was a weekday and totally dead and there were no customers. If anyone came in to order and you were sitting at one of the table, they would be literally on top of you. I have no idea about the food or drinks bc we left after a few minutes.

High Point Café is the high point of my day! They open early, which is great, the sooner you get there the better. Seating is minimal, but everyone who are locals know and respect some unknown table rule and there are hardly any table hoggers ever! The staff is incredible, I am somewhat picky about my coffee and they always are happy to make what I request and they never dissapoint. I have never had a better cup of coffee than here. The crepes are to die for! I am obsessed with the apple and cheddar savory crêpe. I have yet to try any of their oversized, scrumptious pastries and treats but I am sure you can’t wrong!

Truly incredible food in an amazing location with a great atmosphere. Had chorizo quiche and it was one of the most delicious foods I’ve ever eaten(and I’m a foodie). Only problem is there doesn’t seem to be wifi? Don’t know what’s up with that. Also food is pricey but worth it.

What can I say? Every time I venture in, it becomes the high point of my day and eventually my week. These are the neighbors you may or may not know who are ALWAYS incredibly cheerful, gracious and kind. Whose swift ‘n steady hands serve you up somethin’ special and delectable, and always with a smile. Others have noted it and they’re dead on: insanely friendly staff. Everything is delicious. My au lait is always perfection. Rich, flavorful coffee engulfed by sumptuous, creamy foam. It ain’t often folks get romantically entranced by foam, but just you taste and tell me your tongue hasn’t met a pillow of love … Okay. A bit much maybe so I’ll talk about the pastries. Choose any one. Biscuit. Scone. Egg popper. Even the gluten free treats are tasty.(Yeah I said it. Y’all know you see gluten and brace your tastebuds for the mealy, cardboardia. But not here you won’t!). I’m still striving to sit myself down for crepes, about which I’ve repeatedly been told. Guess what they are. Delicious. Hope to bump into you there soon!

Simply the best coffee, consistently so. By that I mean every time I stop in, and sit in the front store window, their coffee is just this side of an out of the body experience.
