Jay picks things up and puts them down. I just started a heavy lifting program, and I wanted one session with a trainer to show me the basic moves, check my form, and make sure I wasn’t going to hurt myself. I’ve had some lousy trainers, though, so I was worried that any trainer I hired would either stall so I would have to come back for a million sessions, or wouldn’t take me seriously when I said I wanted to lift heavy(I’m a relatively petite lady). Jay did the opposite. He talked with me about a goals for a couple minutes, spent 10 about minutes checking my movement and flexibility, and then spent the rest of the session doing exactly what I wanted — showing me the right form for the lifts I wanted to learn, and showing me a few other things he thought would be helpful.
