I recently moved and wanted to find a place closer to me to get my hair cut. I went here based on the stellar reviews on Unilocal.While the place is very clean and staff was friendly, I thought the haircut was just ok. She was very quick with the razor– maybe a little too quick– she shaved a small part of my eyebrow when doing my sides (not too noticeable, but definitely something that bothered me). Otherwise the haircut was fine, but I won’t be coming back for a second time. I’ll check out another place.

This is a nice, clean barber shop where Quinn and Terry give you a proper haircut. They take their time with the job. The prices are very reasonable. I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s a very safe option for those looking for a new barber.

I’ve been to so many hair salons in my life I can’t remember all their names and some of them were supposed to be the best because all the in crowd were going there… and it sure costed me enough to be with the «in crowd «…then I found John Anthony’s at 10th & Tasker
South Philly and I never looked back… Terry is the best she gives a great hair cut and is always consistent, great personality and beautiful shop… did I mention the price is great… I’ve been going to her for a couple of years now and now she’s stuck with me… Try John Anthony’s you won’t be disappointed.

Teri and Quinn are the best! They both give consistently great cuts, they’re super friendly, and they keep a nice clean shop. I moved from south philly to Fairmount last year but I still go down there for a haircut every month.

I called to see if they’d take walk-​ins. The lady that I spoke with, Terri, was very kind and accommodating. I got there and waited all of 5 minutes before Quinn had me in a chair. I have to say that she did an excellent job with my hair AND beard. I’ve never been so surprised/​shocked in the difference after a cut & trim!
John Anthony’s is definitely going to be my regular barbershop from here on out!

Teri and Quin are great. I’ve been going to Quin for over a year now and consistently get a great cut. Only $ 15 on Tuesdays.
