These place makes awesome sammiches and it’s convenient and cheap. They use Dietz and Watson deli meats — good stuff. The owners are also super nice.
However, I saw a for sale sign in the window, so get it while you can! I don’t know how much longer they’ll be around.

I don’t know what I’d do without this place. The prices are not only reasonable, they are usually lower than our local grocery store (Thriftway @ 23rd & South). The place is also incredibly clean, unlike other corner-​stores around the city.
The owners of Kim Van’s are also two of the nicest people I have ever met.

Love this new renovation! The owner is super friendly and helpful. The coffee is surprisingly fresh, and the top quality deli meats and cheeses are awesomely convenient. Yay for the smoothness, too! We just had the Bacon Turkey sandwich special… yum! Everyone in grad hosp, check this place out!

We live half a block from Kim van and honestly couldn’t ask for a better shop to be close too. Always super friendly and 95% of the time they’re prices match or beat any grocery store. They always seem to carry exactly what you are looking for and on the occasion will slip in something extra. They just recently renocated and did an amazing job. Highly highly recommended.

Glad to see this place was renovated! The new store is great. I live a block away and am able to walk to buy fresh produce at the store. The prices are comparable to any grocery store. They opened up the space and it’s really a nice change. Their sandwiches are also pretty good (and reasonably priced!). I had a turkey and cheese and it was yummy. I talked to the owner and he said they are planning on painting the exterior (which is now a very drab stucco) and awaiting their awning to be completed. Score for the neighborhood!

I drove past and got very excited that there is now a Dietz Watson deli just a block away from me.
I stopped on the way home, and got a honey turkey hoagie for only 6 dollars. They have the usual lettuce tomato onion pickles, which is a little disappointing because I like cucumbers and avocado on my sandwiches. The lady sliced the provolone and turkey especially for me, and toasted my bread.
There are also some last minute grocery items, which for the most part seem to be similar costwise to other local places, but many items are a few bucks cheaper.
I have high hopes for this place. I think it will get better as they get business and expand their product selection.
Ps. Both husband and wife owners were very friendly.
