Went for a cooking class and had a great time and enjoyed delicious food! Chef Anna patiently walked us through cooking our own 3-course meal, all of which was vegan and gluten-free. She even makes her own vegan fish sauce. Her husband helps out and provided great conversation and information from his perspective as well. Even though we were having dinner with 6 other strangers, it felt like we were all friends within minutes. It was a tasty, fun experience and I’d love to do it again!

Went to this location on a non-holiday Tuesday at 6 pm. There’s no sign of it existing. Whatever shop was there was closed. Their Unilocal page needs to be updated.

Such a cool place. I’m excited to see how it evolves. I went for a vegan brunch event, and I understand they offer mostly isolated events(ex. making coconut milk, or hot pot night), and maybe catering. It is really unique, bringing Cambodian cuisine to a different sort of audience with the vegan and gluten free banner. They aren’t open on the day-to-day as of now, and the events page is suspiciously missing, but maybe it’ll come back. The food was on point, and I could’ve had 8 of the desserts if I given the chance(sweet rice wrapped in a banana leaf, if I remember correctly). Plus they have a great coffee service, and didn’t make fun of my compatriot when she ordered decaf(which, depending on your zealousness around coffee, may be deserved), and instead kindly served her a fantastic cup of coffee. The seating is a bit weird, and one table was way too high, but we managed to relocate to another space at a shared table.

Awesome food!!! The desserts are incredible. Chef Anna has Test Kitchen Wednesday — Friday and always makes an incredible dish. We had Somlaw Kokoe last week which is kind of a vegan stew, so tasty! Today we stopped by and had Bawbaw which is a mushroom ginger congee, perfect for the rainy day outside. We can’t wait to come back to Philly to see what Chef Anna is cooking up next!

So thrilled that Koliyan has a store open in Bella Vista! I love their modern take on Cambodian desserts, and now they’ve recently expanded into savory foods. Just today I went for lunch and had the mushroom congee and summer rolls– both extremely flavorful and delicious. Anna’s desserts are complex and use fresh, authentic ingredients I would never have known to try. My favorites are the durian ice cream and the banana leaf-wrapped sticky rice with jackfruit, plantains, and black-eyed peas, More than anything, I appreciate the personal touch and care that Anna takes with every dish. Everything’s made to order! This is also a great choice for anyone with dietary restrictions, as all dishes are naturally gluten free and vegan.
