Modell’s Sporting Goods

I love going to modells to get baseball stuff for my son who is 9 because they always seem to have whatever I need for him. And the customer service is always on point. Like today. I went in to get my son a red belt for his baseball uniform. I got the last one! Couldn’t have been happier.
Now I have to explain why I only gave modells 3 stars. I went in there a couple weeks ago looking for something for myself. I am a busty lady. And I need an xl in my shirt sizes. I could not find a one. An extremely nice lady who works there informed me that they do not carry xl sizes in under armor or nike. I asked her why and she honestly did not know. But directed me to the website where I could order more sizes. While she was fantastic in trying to help me it just bothers me that I do not even get an option to try on clothing here. I have to pay to order something and it might fit. And if it doesn’t I have to go to the store to return it. It just doesn’t seem right. Definitely makes me think twice about shopping for clothing in here. If they were not the only one store in close proximity to me that sold stuff for my son for baseball I would probably not shop here at all on principle.
But the customer service is great! Which is why they get as many stars as they do.

Came here on a Saturday morning before work hoping to be in and out. The store was empty so I expected some pretty decent customer service. What I found was a store manager chatting with one of the 2 employees I saw in the whole store. I clearly looked like I needed help but when no one greeted or approached me I went over to them. I left with half of what I needed after no one could locate the items I was looking for. All in all this store seems to be made up of people who don’t seem to like working and aren’t eager to help. I work in King of Prussia and the Modell’s in the mall is way better.

Everytime I come here, I become less and less impressed with their selection. I understand its Philly, but not everyone in Philly support the Philadelphia teams. My boyfriend is from jersey and is a diehard Yankees fan. They didn’t have anything Yankees. I’m not expecting a whole lot but a shirt or something would be nice. I tho k they need to take that into consideration.
Also, when I was looking for a hat, they only had the ghetto, flag brimmed hats. Have some variety, folks!

I am in California and the MV7 Michael Vick clothing collection was released exclusively through Modell’s Sporting Goods and without the excellent and caring help from Heather Cranci & her GM, Devona Moussouris, I wouldn’t have anything to show off from this collection as I owe it all to them caring about me and assisting me so good.
They made sure to pull all the items I was looking to buy and then sold them to me and shipped them out to California!
They EVEN re-​rang up the transaction after finding out I wasn’t an MVP member and re-​did everything to make sure I got credit on my Modell’s MVP account & sent me my card along with my Shirts, Shorts, Compression Shirts & Compression Shorts, I owe all I have in this collection to these two Modelll’s All-​Stars and this fantastic Store!

i have been going here about 5 years, but as with any retail enviroment, timing is key, over the years i have coupons in the mail, but this was the closest to me, 25 mile ride, and i usually get a decent deal not a great except for today, my youngest son is the biggest die-​hard phillies fan and for his birthday (halloween) we start getting phillies stuff together, well the season is over and they are closing out merchandise (wearables) and i bought what i would call a warm up jacket that i have seen on the MLB website as well on the phillies site selling for as high as 59.95, today while supplies last 20.00 !!! but it gets better buy any phillies jackets, and get major league baseballs greatest bloopers dvd as well as MLB-TV’s Prime 9 dvd of greastest homers, managers, winning moments etc. those 2 i have seen regularly online for as much as 24.95, so in conclusion i spent 20.00 and got 75.00 worth of merchandise, how can you not like that, dumb luck?

I went to this Modell’s to buy fishing line. I figured fishing is a sport, the name has «sporting goods» in it. Should be a no brainer, right?
Well, this Modell’s has nothing in it having to do with fishing or many other common sports. In fact, if you go into the store and look to see what they sell, you’ll notice that ²⁄₃ of the store is nothing but clothing. The remaining ¹⁄₃ is bits and pieces of various sporting goods all thrown together into cramped aisles.
So, I discovered I don’t «gotta go to Mo’s.» If you need something (besides sports themed clothing), hopefully this review saves you a trip.
