The selection of affordable, gourmet foods out of trucks in West Philly around Penn and Drexel make me endlessly jealous — but sometimes they grace us with their presence on the other side of the river — like last week when I attended TEDxPhilly! Mojo was slinging drinks and sandwiches well into the afternoon. I started with a cup of French Roast in the morning — which was quite an eye-opener in every sense of the word — stronger and thicker than your average cup of La Colombe. For lunch, I decided to try them again for one of their gigantic paninis — tomato, mozzarella, and grilled chicken on thick slices of bread for less than $ 6. It was more than enough food to get me through the rest of the day’s lively TED talks. Tip: You can pay with Venmo! Awesome. Mojo, come to Center City more often? Cool? Cool.

This a great new food cart on PENN campus. For breakfast I like their smoothies, their egg hoagies, a bagel or toast. For lunch they have fab paninis and sandwiches. I haven’t tasted their signauture coffee yet, but they do make a nice cup of tea. A little more expensive than the other carts but the quality is better and it feels nice to buy lunch from a friendly cart that is spotlessly clean.
