Park Chase Apartments

I promised an update after move out, and an update you shall receive. Although, I don’t have much to say that hasn’t already been said.
I never received my security deposit, any portion of my security deposit, nor was I contacted about the reason said deposit was being withheld. Since I am so happy to be done with the place, and our cat really destroyed (read: peed all over) the rugs, I’m not fighting it but you can see that the concern of this landlord and property management is most definitely NOT for the tenants.
We wrote a note with our final rent check stating it was the final payment, this was a while after returning the note asking whether or not we were renewing our lease which was stuck under out door in June. We were never contacted regarding move-​out, no confirmation was given, nothing.
When moving time came, we spent about a week getting our things out, and still managed to leave with a day to spare (can you tell we were very eager to get out?). We placed our keys into an envelope along with our forwarding address. I should also add that none of our phone numbers were changed. Still, given all that we did to ensure the lines of communication would be open, we never received any communications regarding move-​out, nor our security deposit.
Good riddance. I’m happy to be out of that dump and will never rent from Altman properties again, just on principle. You need to put your tenants first when you work as a landlord or manage properties, and this establishment just never did that.

I’ve never lived here but my sister does. The hallways are very dirty and always smell really bad. There are stains all over the place. There are a lot of trouble makers in that complex as I’ve heard that the cops have been called there numerous times. The walls are paper thin. I can always hear screaming and talking coming from other apartments. I can’t speak for the individual apartments as I’ve only been in my sisters but hers is in good condition and well kept. There doesn’t seem to be any issues inside the apartment. The outside of the buildings seem to be kept up pretty well. I think they constantly raise the rent too. I’d stay away from this place.
