Look — no matter where you go and how the club is — it’s always better in the club than in the terminal — any terminal and this club had all the basics. American keeps improving their clubs — that’s for sure — just wish they knew how to improve the flights! Place was clean, staff were helpful and kind!

This is a huge and spacious lounge which is nice and comfy. My only complaint is that the drinks or spirits are only call or the cheap stuff. This is terrible that I spent $ 50 on my American Express which they will reimburse me for airline benefits. The food or should I say snacks are something you might see in a bar. Not exactly what I’d call food. I’ve been to a lot of lounges at different airports and this must be the worst one I’ve seen.

Location at A4 is dim with no windows and makes you feel a bit sad. Staff were all friendly, but this is definitely not somewhere I’d be proud to go during a layover. I’m pretty sure they use wax paper for toilet paper.

The only thing worthwhile here is the comfy waiting room & the food. The reception workers were on private calls the whole time, complaining, which you could hear in the lounge. The bartender was a grump, even after I gave him a $ 2 tip for a glass of wine the size of a juice glass. I appreciate all of the food they put out, but I’m not in love with this place. I would have been better off saving $ 50 and just hanging out in the food court. I’m hoping my plane shows up soon so I can get out of this place. I’m surprised American doesn’t do quality checks on their employees. Even my school system does that!

As far as airport lounges go, the admirals club in Philly is pretty average. As always, it’s great to get away from the seating at the boarding gate, but this place left much to be desired. To start, it’s very small. You definitely get the feeling of being cramped as soon as you enter the seating section. There are tables spread around, and also some small couches. There is a small bar section along with two soup options and some trail mix type snacks. Aside from that, there really isn’t much to this particular lounge. Again, it’s great to get away from the departure gates and wander airport, but I would expect a little more from a lounge in terms of space, seating, food options and overall comfort. PS: This lounge is also really hard to find. You have take an elevator or stairs down to the lounge, which is sort of hidden around the departure gate section.

Agree with some of the comments below… LARGE club with a lot of open space… But it does get a bit too warm. I take it that its from the large windows and the position of the sun. Speaking of the windows… They’re fairly large and do let in a lot of natural light, but the view is… Well it’s of the UPS terminal and the refinery behind it. Lol I just wish there were more seats with charging stations.

The level of incompetents displayed by the front reception is breath taking. The merger of USAir and American Airlines is a Cluster F and the level of customer service is an abortion at this club. I’m looking forward to moving on to other stable airlines. The fact that Platinum level customers are treated with such apathy when their flight is cancelled say that it’s time to leave. Good luck you bunch of mediocre travel industry robots. The bartenders are nice. The food stinks.

This is a huge club with a ton of seating and outlets galore. The food spread wasn’t anything spectacular, but it was better than some other clubs I’ve been to. They had 2 different soups, fresh whole fruits, veggies with peanut butter or ranch, crackers, rolls etc. I snagged a glass of prosecco and nommed on some light bites until our flight. The sweet potato tortillas chips are pretty delicious so if you see them, grab a bag. It was a bit warm in there, but maybe that was because there was so many people. Or maybe it’s a contribution from the floor to ceiling windows? There’s people going around regularly to clean up after everyone and the bathrooms are spotless.

This club is way better and bigger than the domestic flight terminal. They have soups, an array of snacks, a large olive bar(yum) and open bar for all well beverages. The only crappy part is since its on the 3rd floor it’s so bloody hot up here, shew. Turn the air conditioner on!

In reading the reviews, it sounds like there is more than one in PHL. The one I was in was located by the B/c connector. The facility itself was nice. Comfy chairs, nice view but not many amenities. Just some snacks to eat, chips, peanuts and some cookies. The bar has free«cheap» booze, most of the liquor I never heard of and a few domestic beers to choose from. If you want to pay, you can get some of the top shelf stuff, but what’s the point is that, if you’re going to pay, go to a bar. This is supposed to be a perk for business class and platinum members so why are you being so cheap, AA? If you want a nice lounge, try BA. I’ve not been I PHLBA lounge but I’ve been in enough to know they have real food and free drinks, and not just the cheap booze. Shouldn’t AA strive to be as least as good as their partner airlines? I guess you shouldn’t expect much from an airline that also charges for drinks on international flights. Most European carriers offer free drinks.

HUGE club, with a decent spread of snacks and drinks. The good stuff was located in the bar on the right side of the lounge, with only well drinks complimentary as per usual in Admiral’s Clubs nationwide. The seating was comfortable for the few hours prior to the flight, with several outlets located near each sitting area. I do wish the furniture was refreshed to the newer, outlet-in-armrest seats located in certain Admiral’s clubs, but I made do. One thing to check out: The super old-school CRT monitors displaying departure times. Felt like I was back in the early 90s.

In my opinion a very nice lounge. You get in via the moving stairway. It is not so crowded actually at 3 pm on a wednesday. The lounge is spacious. Food is well for an US Airways lounge but not comparable with the BA one downstrairs(will open in one an hour).

Small admirals club but tolerable. If you have a very long layover I would recommend going over to the A-West Club which is way bigger, and a more pleasant space.

The club in «A» is is drastic need of up dating. The furniture is very worn out. The snacks are very limited. The club was not very crowded on a Sunday night.

NOTE: The Admirals Club is no longer shared with the British Airways lounge. It is a shitty, small lounge near the A East gates.

Very tight on space. Usually fairly crowded. Sometimes there is not a seat available(meanwhile, they block off half the club and close it so it is not usable). Difficult to have a phone conversation. Lack of power outlets. And most challenging very poor wifi — which staff admits is very slow and constantly drops(we are not talking streaming movies — just basic email, it does not work) Staff is nice. Choice of light refreshments not too bad. Overall, not a good location for productivity.

This is a very nice club that i am sure has been elevated due to the fact it is shared with BA. I did not think it was out of the way at all and was only a 2 minute if that walk to my gate . Everything was self serve so you can make your drinks any way you like!

I like this club, because they have great food selection and very clean bathrooms. The club is a bit small or I would give it 5 stars. The front desk is also very kind and helpful.

This one was of the nicest Admiral’s club I have been to. The space is shared with British Airways(their lounge space is to the opposite side). It looks like it was new or recently remodeled. I did not find it to be out of the way. The lounge is pass Security/TSA to the right(West). We were departing from gate A3 so the walk was maybe 1 or 2 minutes, tops. There were plenty of snacks and refreshments, as well as alcoholic drinks(all self-serve). I rarely see this setup on US-based ACs, so I thought it was great. Overall, PHL’s AC is quiet place to relax and enjoy a snack and/or drink before your flight. Restroom facilities were clean and well kept. Safe Travels!

I had no issues with this Admiral’s club. I am not sure what I missed(regarding the other reviews) because I do not remember having to leave my terminal to get to this club. Seemed sufficient, if you have access and spare time, you might as well stop in. but nothing really too special here.
