If I could rate this as zero stars I would. Ray’s Lunchbox could have been so great, but the poor service, slow process, and unappetizing food ruined that potential. And, right on cue, Ray’s has shutdown. Couldn’t even survive the semester. The new place going in its place is going to be a pizza and Italian cuisine restaurant. The. name: Fancy’s. I have spoken to what I believe to be one of the owners, and he says that he hopes things go better with his place. Opening is TBD as of now. Goodbye Ray’s.

Absolutely love this place. And not just for the food! My work orders from here often now. Sometimes I get the chicken salad, or a salad, or chili and everything is just amazing. Good price too. I was so upset one day bc of something silly that happened 3 times and Ray himself came to my office and gave me a certificate for free lunch for the inconvenience. It was not at all expected and was so so nice! Not many people would do that to satisfy one customer but they did, and that shows a lot.

Grabbed breakfast homecoming weekend, so expecting the heavier crowds they had plenty of people working in order get everything out quick and fresh. Can’t wait to get back there for lunch sooner rather than later.

Absolutely the best place to eat on campus. Wide menu, good prices, staff are always friendly and the only place here where there is actually a clean place to sit and eat-could not recommend more. We always needed a nice place like this and it’s great we now do!

Great, affordable breakfast sandwiches! Perfect place to stop on the way to school. Good customer service. Owner is actively taking interest in each customer with a friendly personality. I believe the staff is all learning and the place will continue to get better. Owner is taking suggestions and comments on service and business.

Great food make from scratch. Their hours meet most students schedules especially those studying late into the night. The bake goods are hard to resist and hell if your holding a party their catering really helps with your wallet.

This is my second time giving Ray’s Lunch Box a chance. Both times, service was terribly slow and dysfunctional. Recently, I went for the buy two subs and get one free deal. The whole process was a disaster. Walking into Ray’s Lunch Box, the interior design certainly presented a wow factor. Unfortunately, this«wow» fades to a muted sorrow when you expect the same effort put into their business strategy. I’m not completely sure if the employees know the name of the restaurant. I noticed that most of them looked utterly lost. A few of them would wander around carrying sandwiches for customers, but not really vocalizing themselves to handout the order. This caused confusion on several levels. Placing my order seemed like a joke at this point and the cashier surely hit the punch line. After waiting over 15 minutes in line, I was more than ready to get this thing over with. I ordered and paid for my subs only to find out that the cashier didn’t process the third sub as free. After explaining my situation, she ended up blaming me that it was my fault I didn’t say I wanted the special(the special was displayed numerous times in large font on the exterior of the building). Nevertheless, I got my money back in cash(I’m not sure they know how to request a refund by card since it wasn’t an option). Anyway, the sitting area was nice. The bathrooms were nice. The have a really professional getup. Maybe the employees wanted me to admire the interior designing while I waited a good half hour for my cold deli meat subs. I’ve been to busy sub shops before, and man it does not take that long to slap a sandwich together. I was just very relieved by the time I got my order. I was ready to finally taste a well crafted sandwich from Ray’s Lunch Box, especially the Italian one I got. I walked quickly back to my apartment to rip open one of these subs I ever so patiently waited for. Gazing upon the sub, I found out that the mayo and lettuce were put on first while the rest of the meats and other toppings were laid outside of the bread. What the fuck Ray. This is not how sandwiches are made. I ended up having to reassemble the sandwich myself and composing this review of regret. I will give Ray’s Lunch Box another chance in a couple months and may update this review. I’m really hoping their shit is in order. They’re food is good when assembled properly, but it is not worth the wait. Ray’s Lunch Box is a disappointment. TL;DR The employees have no idea what they’re doing

Rays Lunchbox has amazing food and great customer service! When you walk in you feel so welcomed being greeted by their helpful and kind staff. I have ordered many different items from their menu and it was all so good! My favorite sandwich from their menu is the Cutlet Buffalo; it’s so good I recommend to anyone! Definitely worth the visit whether you are just visiting the school or a student who lives on/off campus.
