I really enjoyed the food here, well prepared, seasoned well, huge portions, fresh ingredients and a large selection of good, solid choices.
I have passed this spot many times and as much as I love rice, I should’ve stopped here sooner. I ordered pepper steak with cabbage and their specialty rice.
There was enough food for 2 meals in the container! The pepper steak was perfectly cooked with tasty grilled onions and bell peppers, fresh cabbage that wasn’t overcooked and some of most delicious, well seasoned rice I ever had.
What keeps me from giving them more stars is the ambiance, the lackluster service and the wait time. But I have a saying, «I don’t mind waiting if the food is good».
Better to call ahead and you won’t be stuck watching Judge Judy verbally abuse some idiotic litigant while you wait.

Rice & Things is a good place for take out food! Very poor customer service & promptness with food order. I would highly recommend that you call ahead before you are hungry with this restaurant! No heat in the waiting area where you place order! I would recommend you call a 45 minutes in advance if you desire to pick up your food…

The Food Here is excellent but the customer service not so much. I have been there twice and I was turned off by the lack of customer service the second time, therefore I left without a meal. They need more workers, besides that the first meal i had was delicious. I enjoyed curry chicken, rice, and cabbage which was fresh and not a processed meal like all of these fast food chains.

I’m excited about this new lunch spot. It’s clean, spacious, has AC, and plenty of tables for 2 – 4 person parties. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Ten dollar minimum on card purchases. The food is nutritious and fresh. Eat in and go for the hot stone bowl. The spicy sauce is extremely spicy. I am bummed they use hard-​boiled eggs instead of fried eggs, but I’m thinking next time I will ask.

Good Food, Fresh ingredients. Very nice specials for lunch.
Because everything is made to order I usually call ahead if I’m in a hurry otherwise plan to wait at least 15 minutes but it’s well worth the wait.

*The name implies that they have a variety of different rice, as does the menu yet they never have brown rice or basmati etc when I call.
A few times it appeared to be over seasoned but that’s rare. I wish I could give more stars but it is good food, overall its A-​OK.
