Best place to see new special menu in every season or new holiday. When I don’t know what to order, first thing I can think of wonton noodle soup or Peking duck over rice or the top ten best dishes. At last, my favorite dessert is green tea ice.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Philly. The duck, greens, soup, ribs, rice, appetizers are all delicious. Everything taste so fresh and is well seasoned all around! Lots of food and fast service.

My husband loves duck and wanted to try Sang Kee for his birthday. Three of is arrived on a random Monday for dinner. We were seated quickly and shortly there after asked if we were ready to order. We ordered starters and had questions about some items, many could not be answered(diet restrictions). It was a while before our waiter returned. Dumplings were nothing to write home about, duck in the soup was pure fat and tendon, other dishes lack luster. We left disappointed, especially about the duck.

First time here. Food is not all that great. Very typical roast pork/duck. Every waiter here hates their job. Walked in with a group of four, and the the lady told us to wait, someone is leaving. Then the waiter comes out of the dining room and strictly says“there are no seats!” A good ten minute wait, we take a peak into the dining room and there are three empty tables. And look what we found? A cricket in our vegetables.

We went to the one inside the terminal and their stand. We ordered the peking duck rolls. I wish it was wrapped in a bun instead of the wrap though. The duck itself was nice and juicy and not bad. The cons was that it was premade and they used the microwave to eat it up :(I am sure if they got the duck and made it fresh, it would have been awesome.

I’m sad to say that Sang Kee went downhill. I used to love it here, but the last few visits altered my feelings for this place. They have gotten very skimpy with their portions. The rice plates are much smaller & they give you what seems to be the leftover of the Peking Duck; All fat, skin, & mostly bones. Service has been inconsistent & slow. The last time I’ve dined here, was with my BF& our friends. We were seated upstairs. It took a half an hour for us to get our food. Sang Kee will no longer be my go-to restaurant in Chinatown. Sighs.

The place is nothing fancy at all. However, the food is authentic Chinese food. As you may see in my pictures, the duck was nice and crispy. The color said everything about it. Even the fat of the duck was well cooked. We actually ordered 2⁄3 of a duck, which means that you can decide whether you want to eat a third, two thirds or the whole damn duck. My friend ordered BBQ ribs. I stole almost half of his meal. I tasted the chicken Paola ordered, but it really did not make an impression on me. By the way, who goes to a Chinese restaurant to order chicken and salad… Definitely, NOTME!

I really don’t know why Sang Kee was so empty when we went on a Sunday late morning. Well no complains there, since we had all the service and attention to ourselves for the most part of our visit until someone else came in. Without question, the duck is a must-try. The skin is roasted to a crispy texture and the meat tender and flavorful. On a typical day the half duck would be perfect for 2. But some times I wanted variety, so on those days I would go for the quarter duck, plus other dishes. Tried their wonton soup as well, the wontons are handmade and delicious, though I found the soup a tad too salty for my liking(that is usually the trend for most places so take that with a pinch of salt *literally*) Love the congee with century egg and pork. It’s a classical breakfast item that is wonderfully done. The freshly made fried dough stick complements the congee really well. All in all we had a wonderful brunch before heading home, and whenever we are in the area we will stop by for some awesome Chinese food!

Came here with 20 people from my dragon boat team this past Friday and feasted. I didn’t do the ordering so wasn’t always entirely sure what I was eating, but I ate it all and it was delicious. Things I especially liked(which are incorrectly named): –Calamari! The calamari was VERY good, as were the veggies cooked with it. –fish and tofu in a mapo tofu sauce? black bean sauce? –dandelion greens? –chicken teriyaki –Roasted pork –Any stir fried noodle!(the two pictured were both great!) Things that were good but not as stand out –Shrimp fried rice(if you’re ordering tons of meat and need some carbs definitely order this. If you’re only ordering one or two things, I’d get something else since this is pretty standard) –Roast duck(I just don’t like duck so this is sort of unfair. Other people really liked it though!) I didn’t love the ice cream that we got at the end, so if you’re going to get a dessert I’d try something else.(The green tea and red bean didn’t really taste like green tea and red bean, or at least the flavor wasn’t very strong).

Been here so many times I can’t even keep count anymore. This place is authentic Chinese food and the Peking duck is just amazing! I come here with my family a lot and it’s nice to have great authentic Chinese food nowadays. The tea is also great. Service is good as well and food comes out pretty fast! Parking is hard though outside of Sang Kee but very worth it

The. Best. Duck. Given, I’m no duck expert, but I do know that I’ve paid twice the amount in other places and didn’t enjoy it half as much as I do the peking duck dinner for two from Sang Kee. The $ 43 feast comes with wonton vegetable soup, peking duck with pancakes & sauce, shredded duck meat with string beans in XO sauce and house special fried rice(shrimp & pork). It’s enough food for 3, so if you’re a deuce, prepare to bring some home. The duck is incredibly crispy, fatty and moist. It makes you wonder why you don’t eat duck on the regular(unless you do, Playa). Other items ordered: duck/pork soup dumplings and Korean bbq short ribs. Both… very good! The service is what it is; not the most english, not the friendliest bunch and things simply arrive when they arrive. But, it doesn’t take away from the meal. Not once have I walked away talking about anything but that duck. Should you find yourself in Chinatown, do it. Note: not BYOB

I came for the duck. Took a nice long stroll thru Chinatown to get here. Place was filling up on Sun. arrival before noon. Many Asians; a good sign of things to come. Had a beautifull half plate of Peking duck with dark brown lacquered skin and«2nd choice»; a mixture of duck stir fried with onion, scallion, pepers and green beans. Course comes with 4 tortillas, a plate of slivered scallions and delicious plum sauce. Added steamed rice and yao choi for some serious, veggie supplementation with sauce on the side.

Oh mi amor!!! Food: duck duck duck. It used to be served with the soft buns(which I prefer), but it’s almost just as good with the pancakes(tortilla like bread) they serve it with. The duck is still so crispy and orgasmically good. I’ve had their fried rice, seafood noodles, wonton soup, dumplings, egg noodles with shrimp and all are very yummy(dumplings are a bit on oily side). Can’t go wrong with anything here. Give items on the menu at least one try. Beers are really cheap here considering its a restaurant so of course I love that. Service: I am asian and speak multiple asian languages so it is pretty easy for me to communicate while ordering, however, I usually see some people struggling to order because the staff doesn’t speak clear english. otherwise their service is good. They’re always there waiting to serve you! Def a place to try if you’ve never been.

I knew not to order Peking duck here because people say over and over in their reviews that it’s not authentic. So I ordered one-half of roast duck instead. It was so bad it was laughable. First of all, after sorting through bones and fat, there were about two bites of duck. And those were totally unseasoned and tasteless. The skin was non-crispy. Then they charged extra for rice. This place is a joke. Trust the bad reviews, not the good ones. Avoid.

If you order the right thing the food is excellent. We had the wonton noodle soup with roast pork. Excellent roast pork. Better than I ever found in NYC. That being said we also tried spicy Szechuan shrimp and the dish was the most disgusting Chinese food I have tasted in recent memory. Think shrimp dripping in goopey sour and tangy thick red sauce. NEVERORDERTHESZECHUANSHRIMP. We’ll be back but probably for just the wonton soup and roast pork.

This is a classic Chinese Peking Duck restaurant. This is definitely one of my go to’s when I am in Philly Chinatown. Their service is very fast(Less than 10 minutes usually) and everything I tried so far, has been delicious. Definitely order their Peking duck. Other than that, these dishes are also delicious: Boiled Flounder in Szechuan Hot Sauce, Mapo Tofu, lo mien, fried rice, and beef and eggplant in garlic sauce. The restaurant is busy and the waiters/waitress are always moving around. Some are not the best at speaking english, but they all manage. Parking is usually the worst part about coming to Chinatown, but it is worth the visit.

I love, love, love this place. After a frustrating 45 minute wait at Ocean City, we came here with a group of 9 and they were able to accomodate us right away. On a saturday afternoon, that was a godsend, because who wants to wait another 45 minutes for food?!(Grrr…) …back to positive thoughts. Ahh… Sangkee. thank you. As usual I got my roast pork & roast duck & green vegetable on rice… I wish I could eat this everyday if I didn’t have the risk of gains lol. Fast service, consistently good food. THANKYOU.

Excellent DUCK! The duck is succulent, crispy and full of flavor! I also fell in love with the pork and shrimp dimpling soup, the broth is light and has the flavors of ginger and vegetables, they serve it just the way a soup should be, with crisp veggies that allows you to truly taste their flavors. The service is also great, even their fortune cookies are not your typical ones, they are thinner but testier and crunchier than the commercial ones. When in Philly and want duck, only one place to go!

This is a Philly Chinatown treasure. I’ve been eating here with my family for years and still come back here whenever I’m in town. Wait: can be 30mins to 1hr if you come at prime times. I try to avoid the lines by going slightly before or after the dinner/lunch rush Ambiance: renovated in past years. Nice tables. Can be loud at popular hours Food #210: lemon grass chicken curry with egg noodles are a must try. It tastes almost like a Thai dish. Tip: add vegetables when you order and they will throw in bok choy #Wonton soups: you can get it with roast pork or duck. The wontons are super flavorful and cooked just right. I’ve tried and could never replicate these wontons #Beef Chow fun: standard, slightly salty. #Seafood hot pot: asked for less spicey but still very hot. Lots of seafood including shrimp scallops and fish. They don’t skimp and it comes over silver noodles. Larg portion #Durian drink: skip this. Mostly sugary and less concentrated with durian Tip: skip dessert because at end of your meal they give you free ice cream to cleanse your palate Parking: street if you can find it. There’s a lot across the street but don’t park there b/c M-F it’s $ 6 per 30mins! and $ 14 for all day Sat/Sun. They validate at another lot but I’m not sure the name. Food is amazing, service very fast, and they consistently keep their prices low. We will continue to come to this location again and again!
