My boyfriend and I went in to buy a new mattress on Columbus Day-we’ve been wanting up upgrade from oldddd full size to a queen size for a while now, and we saw a commercial on TV about the sale. When we walked in, Andre greeted us and asked us some basic questions which really guided our decision for what to try around the store. He was extremely helpful and didn’t pressure us at all! He just had very helpful tips. In fact, he was encouraging us to buy a more affordable mattress if possible because he knows how expensive they can be. Definitely not something I expected from a salesman, so much appreciated because he was honest and not just trying to scam us into paying more. We ended up with a fabulous mattress. Thanks Andre, you’re the best!

Andre was awesome! It was a very pleasant experience and I never felt like I was being gimmicked. I would absolutely recommend buying a mattress here.

Wow! My wife and I came here to buy a new mattress. We weren’t entirely sure what we were looking for when we first arrived and were uneasy with our lack of knowledge about mattresses. But, we truly could not have asked for a better experience in finding a purchasing the perfect mattress!
Upon entering the store, I was impressed at how clean and welcoming the showroom was. But, the customer service was really the icing on the cake. John was extremely professional, straight-​forward, and knowledgeable about all of the products in the store. His level of knowledge and easy-​going attitude was so helpful in finding our mattress and other supplies.
I would recommend this store in and instant to anyone looking for a great mattress at great prices!

My wife and I walked into Sleepy’s not quite sure what exactly we wanted. Sales representative John was awesome throughout the whole experience; he showed us a variety of beds that fit both of our preferences and provided us with best deal possible. The bed was delivered and setup within 48hrs! What a great experience…

All was ok until I was due a refund. I made 2 visits to the store, and 4 phone calls over 3 weeks and finally did get my refund. It should not take this much work to get a refund.

My boyfriend and I went to Sleepys on Friday night. We had such a great experience buying our mattress. The associate/​manager at the store, Andre, was amazing. He made us feel very comfortable and actually lead us to a cheaper mattress that was similar, and more comfortable in our opinion, to one that we liked a lot. Andre really made our experience enjoyable, simple and easy. He also really took care of us as we were checking out. I hardly wrote Unilocal reviews but he deserves to be recognized for great customer service.

Danny Quninones is the BEST! He worked out the problems I was having with Sleepy’s corporate, and got me a great mattress. He is helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. I love my new mattress!

I never shopped or used Sleepys in the past but first impressions are last impression! And this sleepys and the manager Andre Witherspoon helped me out so much!!! From caring customer service to makin sure I was provided with definitely fit me. I tell everyone I know to go to this Sleepys! Great Experience!!!

Waited while the associates helped other people, got to look at the mattresses which seemed ok. An associate comes over and greets me, I told him exactly what I wanted. He didn’t seem that interested in my sale, and kept asking about my price point. I didn’t have one because I wanted to see some options. I wanted him to sell me something. Someone else came in which something that was more important, so I was told to look around and wait. I waited and waited. The other salesperson started helping someone else. So I just walked out.

I had a really good experience with the Sleepy’s rep Tony in Pennsport, though I don’t know if this is their location anymore.

I overall had a great experience at the store. We really had no idea what we were looking for beforehand, and the salesperson (her name was Rachel) was very informative and attentive and helped us out with our choice, all while giving us an adequate amount of space and time to try all of the mattresses out and to think about the decision. Thanks!

I was contacted by Sleepy’s corporate directly regarding my dissatisfaction. They were very concerned about my experience and show a genuine interest making their customers happy and improving their customer service. I was very much impressed. Thanks.

Here’s a tip: don’t buy from Sleepy’s. Why?
1. Their advertisements are misleading. They advertise 50−70% off mattresses but then when you get there it’s only for floor models (gross! considering this is the second worst city in the country for bed bugs) and then this store only had one or two floor models on sale anyway – which is annoying considering I called ahead and they said they had plenty on sale.
2. We first went to the one on Chestnut Street but the guy ignored us the entire time so we went to Columbus Blvd. where they were much nicer and attentive – that’s the only reason I am giving them a star.
3. The delivery guys were kind of rude.
4. I couldn’t put the mattress in my room for a while because I was having work done in that room. In the meantime it stayed in the hallway outside the room sealed in the plastic wrapping it arrived in. So eleven days later the room is ready for the mattress and I unwrap it to find brownish/​reddish stains on the side of the mattress under the second layer of protective wrapping that smell kind of moldy.
5. I call Sleepys and they said that I should have inspected the mattress immediately upon receiving it and not signed for it unless I had inspected it thoroughly. They were «nice» to me and said they would bend the rules so I could exchange it but I would have to pay for pick up and delivery for the exchange ($ 89). I told them that I could spend $ 89 to remove the stain myself and they told me not to do that because I would jeopardize the warranty. After arguing a bit more I hung up on them.
There you have it. I doubt Mattress Giant would fare much better, but perhaps you can learn from my horrible experience with Sleepys. When I buy mattresses for my other rooms I am certainly not buying them here.

i just purchased a bliss pure latex bed from this place and my experience has been much better than erin f’s. john b was my sales guy and it was a pleasure dealing with him. he seemed like a straight up kind of guy who is very familiar with the products he sells. i didn’t get any sense he was trying to steer me in any direction. after buying the mattress and setting up delivery i ended up finding the same mattress for a lot cheaper online. i called john back and told him about it and after checking with his manager, he called me back and said they would credit my card back the difference. no problem and didn’t have to act like an angry consumer to get the better deal.
i would highly recommend talking to john b if you’re in the market for a new bed.

Wow. We’re on the market for a new bed and the obvious place to look was Sleepy’s. They have reasonably priced items on their website, so I figured it would be worth it to drop into the store to see what’s up.
We walked around the store, trying out beds that were out of our price range, for the most part, since the more reasonably priced (under $ 1,000) mattresses are rickety, grimey looking twin-​size display beds tucked into the far back corner, some of which are standing up and leaning against the wall. Once the other two customers left the store, the one salesman, naturally outfitted in an ill-​fitting suit, swooped in on us.
We were trying one bed that was a little closer to our price range, but still more than we wanted to pay. We asked how long the sale price was valid and this guy actually fake looked down at his watch and said, «uhh, well, it actually ends tomorrow.» The fake watch glance. I didn’t know this move was still in practice in the sales world. Wow. I told him we don’t have the money now and that my mom is helping us pay for it. He told us we could put 10% down to «lock in that price». We told him we don’t have that much and would rather wait. He then said, «well, how much do you have?» Wow. We told him again, we’d rather wait. He then took it to, «well, why don’t you let me write you guys up to go ahead and lock in that price.» What happened to the 10%? Total scuz, total turn off. So we went across the street to another retailer (see subsequent review) and had an experience that was a million times better. Sorry, Sleepy’s.
I’m not surprised or anything by our experience, but come on. Wow.
