Sleepy’s, The Mattress Professionals

Went in today with my husband. John was the guy who helped us. He really put us at ease. He gave us information about how your body should be in a bed and other information. He even showed us a cheaper mattress when we were interested in a pricier one. All in all we bought a nice bed. Would recommend John and Andre if your looking for a bed!

I wanted to update this review because Sleepy’s went out of their way to make things right. It turns out that the sales person ordered the wrong mattress which is why the wrong bed was delivered. They delivered the correct mattress two days later AND removed our old mattress for no additional charge. It’s was very stressful and inconvenient, but our new mattress was absolutely worth it! We are sleeping like babies now and wake up refreshed each day… so much better than the 15yo mattress we were sleeping on before!

I stopped by this Sleepys location after wasting 30 min of my life at a nearby Raymor and Flannigan store. Seriously the guy at Raymor was just basically saying whatever to get me to buy something. Anyways that’s not the point. After getting frustrated over there I stopped by this store and my salesman Kenny was awesome. He explained the differences between firm and soft and what I should choose due to the way I sleep and my weight. He actually asked if wanted to be left alone so i can try out the different mattresses which I did spend over a hour testing a bunch of them. In the end, he gave me a great price on a king size mattress and I recommend you check out this place if you’re in the market for a new mattress. *EDIT* I made this review on the wrong store location. Took my sister shopping. At this store. On sat the 16^th of August. And met the most helpful sales girl I have encountered in a long time. Her name is Sarah. She had quite a few customers in the store at one time But handled and waited on all of us with graciousness and ease. I just wanted to thank her for making the bed buying experience a positive one for my sister.

The sales representative are just sharks after your money. They will tell you want you want to hear and then bullshit some stuff to make themselves sound like they know what they are talking about and they are the only experts. After that, when you are ready to talk price don’t be pressure into buying the mattress just yet! Go home! Go online! You will always get a better price! Even if you have to order it from their own website, you will save at least 10% and free shipping. Just google sleepys coupon code!
Sleepys is a great place to just go and try out the mattress, but when it’s time to buy go home and order the same one online and save a lot of money!!! DONT BUY FROM STORE! they don’t offer returns once the mattress is delivered to home. This is just a place to test the mattress not buy the mattress. I called this store earlier today to see if they had any full size futon mattresses at this location. The lady with whom I confirmed they had two in store, which i confirmed with her. I rented a zip car and drove over after work, and when I went into the store th sales lady said they did not have it! I know it was the same lady because of her distinctive accent. Overall very disappointed with my experience.

i was due for a new mattress foundation and had done some extensive online research for various options at various price points. sure, there were some amazing frames for well over 1000usd at several stores, but since i’m not rolling in money, i had to pare down my list to items priced at the lower end of the spectrum. mind you, i didn’t want to go too cheap (100−300usd) because the adage is almost always correct that you get what you pay for so i focused on frames priced between 400 and 700usd. i was *thisclose* to ordering something from a well-​known vendor but decided to checkout sleepy’s online site since i had seen signage for one of their stores whilst walking through the city one day. sure enough, i found a frame/​foundation that fit the bill and was about half the cost of what i was ready to purchase on the other website.
the online purchase with sleepy’s was easy. i especially liked that you could request a specific day and time to coordinate delivery. someone from their national call center phones you the day after you place your order to confirm delivery day/​time and goes over your «bill of rights» regarding purchase.
in-​home delivery comes with free assembly of items. the delivery guys arrived about halfway into my desired time range, which was reasonable. they promptly assembled my frame and set my mattress atop so that i could try out the bed to ensure that everything was in good working order. once i gave my blessing, i signed my sales/​delivery receipt and gave each guy a monetary tip. the entire assembly process from start to finish was around 20 minutes.
one star was subtracted because the frame only came with one size screw to affix the frame to my existing headboard. my headboard is really thick so the screws didn’t work. neither the hardware that came with the frame nor the delivery guys had any other screw sizes to accommodate the headboard so i had to go to a local hardware store to purchase the right size screws and do the job myself, which is kinda against the point of having someone else put these types of things together.
all-​in-​all, i’ve been pleased with my experience and purchase with sleepy’s. god forbid that my frame falls apart but if it does, i’ll be sure to update my review to warn others.

From the moment we entered the door everything at sleepy’s was perfect, including our sales associate Damian. He helped us with everything we needed and was extremely knowledgeable.

Sleepy’s is a fine place to get a mattress. The staff is not all that knowledgeable, but their selection is good. I found that the guy working at Mattress Giant around the corner knew is stuff much better and was more dedicated to finding me a mattress that fit my needs and was a good value for my price range — versus the one that solely fit my budget.
