If I could give zero stars I would. Customer service would seem to be an important part of this particular business. But alas… no. Not only did the first person who answered my call not know if they did iPhone repairs, he then placed me on hold for 7 minutes. I know this because of the handy counter on my phone. If you go to the Apple website, this place is listed as a recommended service site for Apple products, including (and I quote) Mac, iPad and iPhone. So when they finally came to retrieve my call, I heard someone in the background and then they hung up. Good times.
I called back, undaunted, because well… you know. I got another guy who said…“oh I tried to pick up your call. I spoke with our service department and they said you should contact Apple.” I laughed and told him that’s funny because Springboard was recommended by Apple.
What a joke. I wouldn’t come here if my MacBook was on fire and they had the only extinguisher in the world. Terrible.

Springboad Media saved my iMac from certain doom. They replaced its hard drive and performed a data transfer, restoring it to full function. The service took a little over a week to perform but I was updated with its progress throughout the repair. Thanks,

Salesdouche literally mocked me. Like, mimicked my voice like a child might do. Lol, bye. Don’t shop here. I went in for a simple computer case, was immediately harassed and mocked by a ridiculous little salesboy. Walked out, won’t be back, except maybe to point and laugh with my friends. Unprofessional, unnecessary environment.

My 5 year old Apple computer failed me so off I went to see the folks at Springboard. I had been there last year and was satisfied with their work as well as the way I was treated. This time they did what was right in a big way and I appreciate it. I dropped my machine off paying the $ 100 fee for a diagnosis. A day later I called and paid-​up for priority status (another $ 100).I got a call back saying the problem was with the trak-​pad. Two days later I was called and told the machine was ready and they had installed a new track-​pad. I picked up the notebook and brought it home to discover the problem resurfaced after 20 minutes of use. Back the machine went. They apologized and told me the techs would look at it immediately which they did. At first they thought it was a software issue and said they would get back to me. Two days later I was called. The problem was the logic board. Here is where they did the right thing for me. I was told that looking at the notes from my visit last year they should never have tried to repair it and they would refund All my money. So now I will buy my new computer from Springboard and tell everyone to use them. Thank you Springboard

I had a terrific experience today at Springboard. Their customer service is incredible — a thousand times better than the Apple Store. My Mac Air was acting up and Allison Z. was great helping me understand the repair process. I’m getting fast turnaround and they even provided a loaner (because I purchased the MA from Springboard). Love this company! They have my loyalty. Huge thanks to Allison and her team at the 13^th St store.

I purchased a MacBook Pro ($ 2,000 incl Apple Care) on Sunday. By Thursday I had some issues and on Saturday, I returned to Springboard to have them address these issues. After hearing my first issue (there were four), Mikey told me I would have to take a seminar and it would cost me $ 50. Excuse me?! I then asked to speak with Alex who was much more accommodating but wanted me to leave my laptop and retrieve it another day. Not satisfactory. I left, went to the Apple Store in KofP and all of my issues were resolved within three hours. Let me mention that Alex leaned forward on his elbows and said that the Apple folks would NOT resolve my issues. Mind you, it was a busy Saturday in the KofP Mall and I got results while I had lunch and browsed the store. The problems were a result of old data being transferred and not cleaned up. I will not go back to Springboard to make a purchase and I will certainly not use their tech support.

I had an old MAC slow as an old lady and needed an upgrade but did not want to deal with the Apple store on 16^th street during christmas shopping season. I read about Springboard Media and thought to give them a try. At first I wasn’t happy with the results but I returned it after the manager called me and told me they would try again. What I was shocked about was the amazing customer service. I’m not used to being treated that well. Customer service like that truly doesn’t exist anymore and what a pleasure. They fixed the problem and now they are my go to place for my tech problems. Great people, professional and helpful. They deserve 5 without question!

Was in a jam and really needed a part for my Mac while traveling. They saved me! Awesome people and products.

When I came in to drop off my iMac for a $ 250 hard drive repair, a sales rep distracted me from my whole intention and advertised their financing options on the newer 27inch, 5k retina display iMacs. She was really pushing it — She said that it would be smarter to upgrade entirely rather than take a gamble with something potentially going wrong with my computer again in the future. I was interested in what she was saying. So I agreed to give some information so she could give me a better idea of what my monthly payments would be. She stood behind a screen and I gave her all my info including name, address, income and then I stupidly signed the little trackpad without asking or seeing what I was signing for. A min later she’s jumping up and down like «oh you got approved with a $ 4500 line of credit, I’ll go get the machine» I literally had to tell her to calm down and that I wasn’t even sure about this yet and I needed time to think before I made such a commitment. I went down the street to Apple where I was pleased to discover that they offer financing options to those who qualify as well.
Even though the sales rep at Springboard assured me that I’d be receiving a brand new machine, its hard for me to believe that their parts and merchandise aren’t refurbished. Especially since she so quickly offered to recycle my old computer for me for free… as if it were just completely useless trash and as if that’d be doing me a favor (yeah, so you can take it to the back and monkey around with the parts and re-​sell it?) but this is all speculation to consider. I digress.
About a week later, I get home from work one day to a physical credit card from Synchrony Bank. After much confusion, I realized that while in the store and giving my information, the sales rep was filling out a credit application for me! Even though yes, I did sign it… and that was a very foolish lesson that I learned — to not just sign stuff all willy nilly, I still felt kind of tricked about the whole process. If I had known that she was filling out a credit application from behind her computer screen, I would have stopped her. Very sneaky.
Nevertheless, why would anyone buy a questionable and likely refurbished iMac when they can just go to the Apple store, configure a machine to your precise liking and finance it with a lower monthly payment??? If you’re bringing in an older version of something new that they have in the shop, they’ll try to pressure you to upgrade and make a decision in a matter of minutes. So, in the end, I’m very happy with my decision to finance a brand new iMac through the Apple store. Originally I went to Springboard with the intention of replacing a hard drive and their pushy attempt at upselling drove business away.

Knowledgeable folks who don’t judge a non-​techie! This location is my go-​to whenever my pre-​teen or teen can’t figure out something with my/​their devices. The staff is always welcoming and customer-​focused (even when the store is hopping) and has solved or showed me how to solve any issue I’ve ever had. Low to no pressure sales.

Wasted two hours of my day by telling me they had the cord I needed in their inventory and that it was being set aside for me, only for me to get there and them not actually have it. If that was a possibility, they should have asked for my phone number and let me know before I got there.

If you want to buy Apple products without the Apple store hubbub, this is your place. Knowledgeable staff (most of them Apple Store refugees), and the same price as Apple. And, they have some used stuff as well.

The folks at Springboard are fantastic! I called to set aside some RAM and get that put into my Macbook, and I was greeted and assisted by a friendly worker. Nothing short of the same when I came in to get the work done.
A decent price for the part and the service, so friendly and explained what they were doing to my machine. My laptop was SO SLOW before the 8GB boost, and now it’s like new! Thanks Springboard for saving my Crapbook’s slow life!

Can I just say one thing, thank God a REAL Apple store is here in center city philadelphia. This place is not a place to buy Apple products. I have had several bad experiences here, the theme is dishonest. I would suggest to any one that shops here to watch the transactions closely and read the fine print.
I can see since my last review that things have not really changed much.

I went to Springboard Media because I wanted a more personalized service. I brought an old Mac which needed some data transfer to an new Mac but with certain circumstances where I wanted to move from multi-​users to a single user and move certain directories in other directories. Anyway, the sales person was really only interested in selling me the new Mac, which I bought spending over $ 3K, but once I asked about the data transfer and show him where certain photos or music files resided he had no clue what he was talking about and kept on referring to the «technician». The bottom line is that the sales guys are literally clueless if not technologically challenged when it comes to something outside of the ordinary. I was more Mac knowledgeable than him even though I don’t work in IT and was probably 25 years older than him.
I called several days later to see if the Mac was ready and they had no clue referring again to the «technician». They basically were once again clueless, with a border line attitude. Next time I might as well not waste my time and go directly to an Apple store and speak with a genius. I probably won’t return at Springboard Media, don’t waste your time just go to the Apple store.
UPDATE:finally got a called back from the technician and re-​explained what needed to be done. Not sure they actually got it the first time. He told me that a hard drive was also an issue and was taking longer. I still reserve my judgement for the final product.

Let me first add that the employees were always nice and pleasant. My issue is that they charge $ 120.00 JUST to diagnose your machine.
Then they came back and said it would be $ 900 to fix. Well OBVIOUSLY I’ll just get a new computer at that point! So I asked, can’t I use that money toward a credit or something in the store? NOPE! Only to transfer data.
Well 1. Apple will do that for free. 2. My job will do that for free.
So completely disappointed that this place charges you $ 120 just to LOOK at your computer. Just a rip off.

These guys and gals are great! Apple-​certified right in Center City. Impeccable customer service. Don’t bother hitting up Apple Store — wasting time for a service appointment. Shop local.
NOTE: Street parking can be a challenge, however, there’s a great parking lot around the corner (just west of 13^th on Sansom-​under 10 min is free, $ 5 if under 30 min)

My old MacBook was so slow, and I had few hardware failures in the past, it was time for a new toy! I’ve been a customer at Springboard Media since they opened few years ago, and of course I knew they offer trade-​ins. I went to the store having a question (or two, probably close to ten), and to check what they might offer me. I left with a new MacBook Air, Apple care protection and some accessories. Sadly, I couldn’t trade-​in my old MacBook Pro, (it is considered vintage by Apple, and they don’t produce any parts for it, so springboard couldn’t accept it), but I took an advantage of the 12 months financing offer they have (no interest charges if paid within the 12 months). Josh took care of the application, which was easy and fast, all I needed was my ID and a major credit card. Also, Josh helped me in setting up my MacBook. Seriously, Springboard Media strive for an exceptional customer service with a big huge smile! Thank you Josh for being very helpful and patient with my technology ignorance.

After a «one-​in-​a-​million» failure of both my desktop computer and my backup drive, the people at Springboard were very helpful in restoring what they could and especially in keeping me calm. I was pretty freaked out but they talked me down and recovered a fair bit. During the ordeal I probably spoke to six different people. One guy was neither nice nor helpful, didn’t listen at all — but everybody else was absolutely fantastic. Chadd was especially helpful.

Great place, so much calmer than a normal Apple Store with better service one on one from the time you walk in, any kind of accessories or service you could want, and people to do it for you. Awesome place for every Apple need.

My Macbook pro crashed and although it was under warranty, apple denied all services and gave me an estimated invoice of $ 1500 for a 2011 machine. Disappointed with the Apple store, I figured I’d use my computer till it died. Well, the day it died I decided to take it into Springboard media. And I picked it up 4 days later, without spending a penny! I worked with Tyler (absolutely professional and very informative) who was able to get the services covered under apple care! Absolutely thrilled about the money I saved and with the professional and exceptional customer service from them! Shout out to Tyler, you’re the best! :-)

Springboard made magic happen. I had the unfortunate experience of having my hard drive crash, then finding that my external hard drive was also dead. They gave me two options for data recovery. The first was about $ 117, and less labor and the second was $ 300 something if the less expensive option didn’t work. I decided to go for the $ 117 option. They recovered my data! They were able to finish the work the same day that I dropped it off. The associate was very personable. I was pleased that the wait was short at 3pm on a Saturday. I wish I knew why work that was completed in such a short time was so expensive… but I’m still just thankful that they were able to fix it.

I can’t say enough about this place. Everytime I come to them with a problem it is fixed easily and with such attention to detail. I will NEVER go anywhere else. Ronni, Ryan and Tom will go above and beyond your expectations. I am so thankful I found Springboard Media.

After my 2008 MacBook died with no warning, I brought it in to Springboard to see if they could repair it. After thorough attempts, the tech guys there weren’t able to get it to work because the hard drive completely crashed. Because my Mac was so outdated (and it wasn’t compatible with Time Machine), I used flash drives to back up vital information. It wasn’t until this catastrophe occurred that I realized how disorganized the data is on flash drives, and how much important info would be lost. The good news for me was that they were able recover 100% of the data!
When I realized my computer was not salvageable, I purchased a new one at Springboard and I paid about $ 400 for the data recovery and transfer. What makes this a 5 star rating is that CHAD (who initially recovered the data) met with me after my purchase and helped me make sure Time Machine was set up properly. He also resolved an issue I was having with iPhoto, and he recommended that I download adwareMedic due to another odd issue I was having. He spent about 45 minutes with me and didn’t charge me anything for the session.
It’s gestures like this that make customers feel great about purchases and customer service experiences. After my experience working with the staff at Springboard (and due to the diligent work of Chad), I highly recommend their products and services to everyone else in Philly.

Very friendly and knowledgable. Also, they have a loaner program so if you really can’t be without a computer, you can rent one from them for $ 99 while yours is being repaired — it’s my understanding that this service is free if the laptop being fixed was originally purchased at Springboard.
It’s never fun when your computer breaks, but they made the repair process super easy. No appointments necessary, so I would definitely recommend Springboard over the craziness that is the genius bar at the Apple store.

I had a very solid experience with Springboard Media yesterday. I heard they were offering an iPhone trade-​in deal for the 4 and 4s so I took my flailing 4 and traded it in for a 5. The cost of the 5 is $ 199 but I received a $ 50 discount by trading-​in. And when I checked-​in on Unilocal,I received a check-​in offer for $ 20 off any iPhone case with the purchase of a phone. Cha-​ching! Since I was in the market for one of those anyway, this was an unexpected bonus.
The process of backing up my phone took some time but store manager Jamie took care of it for me — all of my apps and info were saved and promptly loaded onto my new phone. I am clueless with technology and have lost data in the past when upgrading, so I was very grateful for this and didn’t mind the extra time. In the meantime, I perused the iPhone cases and settled on one for twenty-​five bucks, which seems to be the low end of the going rate. Jamie gave me her card and told me to let her know if I had any problems. She was great to work with and I would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking to upgrade their phone.
