This location is really slow, and the baristas I’ve encountered have been pretty rude. The cashier was having a side conversation with another employee as I was paying and seemed annoyed when I didn’t know If she was talking to me or her coworker. My motive for Starbucks runs is usually to get a quick drink at convenient locations(ie-everywhere). There were only about 4 people in the whole place and I had time to write this review after realizing I was frustrated with how long it was taking. I’ll skip this location in the future. Bright side: there is a good amount of seating and it’s conveniently right on drexel’s campus. Also not as many people as the 34th and walnut/34th and chestnut locations.

First of all, my iced tea wasn’t filled to the top of the cup. Then, they refused to provide a refill because they«don’t participate» in any Starbucks promotions. That’s funny … Before I ordered my drink, I asked the barista if they participated in the promotions and she told me that they did! Also, I just love being screamed at by the server when I go into a coffee shop. She definitely doesn’t like being asked for a refill. Beware of this café. If you expect your server to be at least reasonably polite, go somewhere else!

Slow service no matter what time of day, typically can’t get a drink right. Being generous with 2 stars because it’s in a convenient location.

Well, as this is a Starbuck on campus for Drexel’s student, doesn’t matter how terrible it is, this is our only choice. Nobody is even bother to add this on Unilocal. Try to order something simple, like dark roasted coffee or just tea, so there will be less chance the staff here mess up your drinks.

The longest lines and slowest service. There have been times where it took me a full 30 minutes from the time I got in line to the time I leave with a drink. I’ve found it to be faster to walk to the Starbucks on 34th street than it is to go here. Also, this location doesn’t accept Starbucks Rewards

The first time I tried to go to this Starbucks, as a graduate student who spends most of my time on the Center City campus… I couldn’t find it. Eventually I realized it was tucked away in the business building. After finding it, I can say it’s a great location– easy to grab a coffee between meetings or if you have some time to kill. They almost always produce drinks quickly, even when the line is scary long. I’ve been trying to figure out when the line is long or short, but honestly I haven’t been able to figure it out yet– I think it depends when classes in the building are starting, or taking breaks mid-class. I go here about twice a week, and they haven’t messed up my drink order yet(good job, Starbucks). Once they forgot to make my drink, but I complained after waiting about 10 minutes, and they made it quickly with no questions asked. The food options are more limited than other Starbucks, and not only do they not have a toaster to toast your bagel(FYI Starbucks– toasters cost about $ 20), but they are usually out of bagels by mid-afternoon. When that happens, no semi-healthy options are left, and I usually default to lemon cake or pumpkin bread. The space can be a bit hard to navigate, since the Starbucks is basically jammed into a corner– occasionally causing awkward moments. For example, if a student with a big backpack is standing at the right cash register and there is a line, it’s impossible to get from the left cash register to the area where you wait for drinks. I don’t care how skinny you are, it’s not happening. I’m glad I eventually found this place– it has made my classes and meetings nearby more bearable. Minus one point for not having a toaster, and for occasionally being overridden by caffeine-addicted undergraduates.

I love that we have this starbucks here on campus… I get a pretty complicated beverage … And for the most part they always get it right… if they don’t …they know to re-make it… before I unleash my wrath… The manager at this location is super sweet he takes the time to really train his student employees… when you get a 5.50 venti cup almost daily you have certain expectations…

I like coffee, I like Starbucks in general. I do not like coffee grounds in my coffee. Just took a sip of my coffee and got a mouthful of coffee grounds. Yuck. This happens too often at this location. Do yourself a favor and visit one of the 2 other starbucks on 34th st.

Even after I convince myself to go here and I go here, I can’t convince myself to stay. It is almost always a disgusting line(15+ people) due to this being a University coffee shop. People are either there right after class, or they think that no one will be there between class– along with everyone else. There are a lot of tables along the side of the building, but they’re awkward for being social and often overwhelmed by people. Impossible to be a relaxing, coffee atmosphere. There are two other cafes on campus, and this one is of course the most expensive. And while the baristas are all nice, because they’re students and it sucks just as much for them as you, the business itself is dick. Privately owned, they NEVER participate in promotions, not for any cause. They don’t even comply with the Frequent Starbucks Card system. I lie– they stock the AIDS coffee for sale. It’s not worth the wait for things this expensive, this bad for you. Go to main building, ThirtyOne41, and get affordable coffee/tea/muffins. I’m not spending $ 3.25 for the exact same Tazo tea(actually, they only give you one bag for a large at starbucks, but two in the main) that costs $ 1.84 a block away, with a nicer atmosphere and no line. No, thank you.
