Terryin is my middle-of-the-road sushi place. It’s definitely not fancy, but it’s good and affordable. They have a bunch of different specials you can choose from, and a lot of non-sushi dishes for those who aren’t into raw fish. The people who work there are super nice, and I’ve never had a single mistake in a delivery order. Delivery is usually around 45 minutes on a weekday, maybe a little longer on a weekend. I’ve only once had a bad experience there, out of probably the 25 or so times I’ve ordered from here. I’d say that’s pretty good.

Some of the best takeout ever! They always make everything to order fresh and its consistently delicious. Orange chicken and the avocado salad are my favorites!

Love this place & it’s BYOB. Owner and workers are very nice and friendly. Me and my best friends would come here about 2 times a month. Foods very good and cheap. Our all time favorite dishes samurai tray, beef chow fun, crab Rangoon and friend dumplings.

VERY friendly staff. That is where the good stops. Bland rolls. Old(bitter) tea. There was a roach crawling on the wall. Hard to find parking. 4 rolls for less than $ 40 is cheap but there’s a reason.

Delivery sushi that is actually good! I order from this place at least once every 2 weeks — and I’m someone who usually cooks and eats at home. The sushi is always fresh, the rolls are interesting, and I love the guy who usually answers the phone. Yes, it takes a while for the food to arrive, but let’s be realistic — it’s sushi. Sushi takes a while even when you are in the restaurant. I love this place. It’s a gem.

This is my go to sushi spot in the neighborhood. Rolls are fairly priced yet tasty and elaborate. I recommend the dynamite roll if you’re looking for a less traditional but more deep fried sushi treat. PS delivery is fast and the delivery guy is very friendly!

This restaurant has great food and are very nice and gets my order right 99.9% of the time. What I ordered that I liked: sweet and sour shrimp, vegetable lo mein, shrimp fried rice(has small VERY tasty shrimp), shrimp rolls, crab rangoon, garlic green beans. I’ve heard their wonton soup is very good too.

I’ve popped into Terryin several times for takeout and have never been disappointed. They offer a good variety of options, but their Chicken Mei Fun and Crab Rangoon game is particularly strong. My order’s always ready on time, and staff is very nice. South Philly takeout staple!!!

Strangest fried rice I have ever had from an Asian restaurant. It was Spanish yellow rice cooked like regular fried rice. I was so confused. Sushi was okay. I am a vegetarian so did not eat any fish but the veggie rolls were okay. Nothing spectacular but just mediocre. I probably wouldn’t go back here but it’s not the worst. Still looking for a good south philly Asian restaurant.

Terryin is probably one of those places that you would miss when you walk by it but definitely great food. I used to order from Terryin every chance I got from work. Their sushi is great. And the good part about it is, they have more than just sushi. The menu is lengthy with tons of choices but not too large that you can’t make a decision. You can eat in there or have your food delivered.

The people here are very friendly. I love their sushi and will definitely be ordering it again! I also had the General Tso’s Chicken and it was crispy and the rice was cooked perfectly. It could have been a little spicier, I asked for medium but it was still good regardless.

Don’t be deceived by the looks. This place makes awesome sushi and the manager/sushi chef are very nice. Amazing prices and good sushi.

Inexpensive but not worth it. Spicy tuna roll looked/smelled/tasted foul, had to throw it out. General Tso’s chicken was subpar, couldn’t eat more than a few bites. Crab ragoons were decent, but it’s hard to mess that up. In the end, I had to throw out more food than I ate. I won’t be ordering from again.

Best sushi in South Philly. We order from here at least once a week and I love the Rock’n Roll and Christine Roll. Everything else we’ve had has been delicious too, but those are our go to!

I just started working around the corner from this place. So glad they’re open late. It seems like most people order for pickup, because I was the only one at the sushi bar… But this place has Bueno sushi rolls! I chose kiss of fire and the sushi chef made me his fave shrimp tempura roll. Fresh and quick. Yum

Got take out from this place and it was pretty good! We got chicken and broccoli, fried dumplings, crab rangoon, a cucumber roll, and an avocado roll. I like that the fried dumplings weren’t completely fried, just the bottom was. And their definition of fried means pan seared, which is my favorite kind of dumpling. The sushi was cheap and good. Really difficult to mess up a cucumber and an avocado roll. Nothing to write home about, but that’s the nature of the sushi we got. The chicken and broccoli was really tasty. They gave you a big portion of chicken and broccoli but only a little bit of rice! that’s my only complaint here. Crab rangoons were delicious cause they’re crab rangoon. It’s perfection. Delivery charges were really cheap and took about an hr to get here. Would order again if I’m in the neighborhood!

This is based on a visit from the beginning of the year. Has since become BYOB. Not such a big deal, but, the beer I brought with they nor refrigerated or even gave us a bucket with ice. Thought that was kind of odd. Food is still good, though.

There are over 200 Sushi bars in the city of Philadelphia. However, when I am in the mood for sushi I always visit Terryin. Why is that? Their fish is always fresh & their service is always stellar. Recommendation: the lunch special

Is it the best sushi in the world? No. Is it really solid, decent sushi? Absolutely. Sushi in South Philly that is actually decent … who would have thought? Their Chinese and Thai food is solid too. The Chinese in particular is much better than most suburban places, although that may be too low a bar. Orders usually delivered pretty promptly.

My honest opinion of this place? NOT going back. Why not a one star? Because I feel it’s not fair to give one star over ordering two things you happen to not like for a first time. But… not good enough for me to want to go back again and try something new. I am VERY disappointed in this place. I got delivery and order vegetable gyoza(= «pan fried dumplings») and it came steamed and all stuck together. Because they were all stuck together, I wouldn’t take a gyoza without it falling apart. I have never been to a place where the gyoza has been screwed up. I have never ever ever ever in the entirety of the 23 years(two years excluded due to teething) of my gyoza eating life where the gyoza came as steamed. If that is an option, you need to let people know: Would you like fried or steamed? Because it was to my understanding that gyoza comes fried by default. And why is the gyoza green? Google image«gyoza.» Go ahead. I bet what these people did was buy frozen Chinese dumplings, boil it, and pass it off as gyoza. I went out of my way to do that ^ … That is how livid I am. I also got roast pork mei fun, which was bland and flavorless. I really don’t know what else to say about it. It was just very BLAH. I also did not like how they used their called ID to call me back when I hung up, telling me «somebody called from this number.» I hung up because I had a client walk in. Good thing I didn’t use my office phone. There is also a $ 2 delivery fee, which I knew about from reading online. What I did not like was that they did not tell you about it, which I saw as double dipping into the tip jar. So I tipped even less because of it. It would be better if they said«there is a $ 2 delivery fee, is that all right?» Whether or not it is customary, it shows honest businessman-ship to do so. But I am also VERY finicky when it comes to customer service. I give a extra whole star just for good customer service — that’s how anal I am about it. Anywhoo, this is just something minor. It’s the food I am having the biggest problem with.
