They use to have the best Cheesesteak pizza over there. I would order a large Cheesesteak Pizza with extra steak, cheese, and sauce. It was worth the hour drive from Pleasantville, N.J. They hired a younger crowd, and things went left immediately. Some of the original workers are on nights, and if you actually go there and order– you can get a great pizza.

I spent 3 hours waiting for the food, until they called and told me it wasn’t coming. Then they gave me a major attitude when I asked about a refund, since I obviously didn’t get any food. Avoid.

Astoundingly bad. First the lone pleasant point. I ordered delivery and the delivery guy was a nice funny dude and even apologized for being 5 minutes later than grubhub estimates. Not exactly a mortal sin. But the food. Dear lord the food. I got a pepperoni pizza and buffalo wings. Both were terrible. In ways that give me no hope that anything escapes this kitchen without a thick layer of awful. Pizza was below 7 – 11 quality. Wings were soggy greasy mess. I threw it all out after one wing and one slice. Go with Mister Wings(which was closed at the time of my ordeal) instead.

NEVEREATATTHISPLACE! This place is infested with roaches. Employees are dirty. I’m not sure how they stay in business. There are hundreds of good pizza places in Philadelphia and this is NOT one of them. Stay away!

They have opened back up. The menu is small. The person who answers the phone has apparently never eaten food. She cannot answer basic questions. We order from them because they are quick and cheap but don’t expect great quality or good service-they mess up a lot!

I waited over an hour and a half for a single pizza that was undercooked and doughy, as well as missing 2 requested sides that i was still charged for. When i called to inquire about the status of my order i was placed on hold without even being greeted on the phone. I will not be ordering from here again.

First time trying their pizza but I probably won’t return. I ordered the Hawaiian pizza and a cheese steak. The cheese steak tasted good but the pizza was a little disappointed. They did put a lot of hams and pineapples on the pizza but the hams and cheese were still undercook. Too greasy, when I tried to take a slice, everything slide off. If they could cook the pizza a little longer, it would probably taste much better.

Probably the worst pizza I’ve had so far. The crust was soggy in the center of the pie and probably because of the disgusting watery sauce they use. Why would you shred sausage before putting it on pizza is beyond me.

I tried the sun drop it had real mozzarella and sundried tomatoes on it and it was excellent! The food came quick and hot. All in all it was a good experience. I will order again

Awful on so may levels: Spongy pizza– regular crust There was a white film on the pizza, underneath the cheese and on top of the bread. Really disgusting. They were SUPER late on delivering and then said«It’s all good» when they finally delivered. Atrocious customer service. I will never order from or eat here again. Under any circumstance. Even if I was starving.

I really wanted to like The Pizza Place because it’s so close to my house, but I’ve had two very mediocre experiences. 1. Got a medium anchovy pizza. I didn’t realize there were different crust thicknesses, so we got thick. There was so much cheese that half of it slid off of the pizza on the walk home, letting a pool of grease soak through the cardboard. The pizza wasn’t the worst I had(queue story of that time I was drunk in Vegas), but it was undercooked and overcheesed and was just as overwhelming cold the next day. 2. Got a medium meat lover’s. I knew by then to order medium-thin so I did. It was thin like standard thin crust, not bad. But the toppings! The person who made this pizza took the phrase«meat lover’s» a little too literally. It was so piled high with toppings that it was actually disgusting. But we ate some anyway and held our stomachs with regret later on. Oh, the regret. If the pizza matched the service, I would be back again and again. Maybe I will try some of their other offerings one of these days.

Where do I start? It took an hour and fifteen minutes for the food to be delivered. The delivery driver brought me the wrong order and when I called and complained the woman who answered the phone was rude and ignorant. Remember the old saying, «the customer is always right?» One would think that if you screwed up the customer would be the one yelling but that wasn’t the case. Now that I have my cold food I am not impressed at all. There are way too many restaurants in Philly to ever bother with this joke called The Pizza Place ever again.

I ordered from here last night and got horrible stomach pains the next day. I always felt this place was never the cleanness, so now this confirms it.

I ordered from here the other night after 11pm because it was the only pizza menu I had that was open after 11pm during the week. Yes I had a nice buzz and was a little desperate for pizza. I was not expecting it to be very good and don’t know where I even got the menu from(it was probably left in my mailbox). The people on the phone and delivery person were very friendly and pretty quick. We had half cheese and other half meat lovers. The pizza was actually very good. It was cooked perfectly. I ate a couple more slices the next day for lunch when my buzz was long gone and it was still very delicious. The pizza was what I would consider medium crust– not thin crust but not sicilian but still had a nice amount of dough.

I’m from L.A.(home of no good pizza) so to my normal standards The Pizza Palace was fine. However, I frequent Philly so I know this city can do much better. I ordered a plain cheese pizza pie with regular crust from here because it was convenient to where I was at the time. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. They put lots of cheese on the pizza and the regular pan tossed dough wasn’t bad for a gal who prefers thing crust. I wish I could give them 2 ½ stars but Unilocal doesn’t offer that. I could see myself ordering from here again but it wouldn’t be my first choice. They did have many other things on the menu like wraps, salads, seafood, flat bread sandwiches, burgers, hoagies, buffalo wings, breakfast sandwiches, dessert and stromboli(which they said takes 30 min to cook). They also have decent daily specials like Thursday’s 3 sandwiches for $ 14.99.

My advice to you is that if you order from this place you get REALLYSPECIFIC about what you want and ask A LOT of questions. I ordered a double cheeseburger and«cheese steak fries». My burger is literally just two patties and cheese on a bun — no tomato, lettuce, onion, ketchup pickle NOTHING. I thought«cheese steak fries» would be STEAKFRIES — as in thick french fries — with cheese. They are actually disgusting normal fries with a bunch of the meat that you find in a cheesesteak all over them, and then whiz. I threw them directly into the trash. Major disappointment.

My ex is a sous chef. He could eat filet mignon and rack of lamb every night if he wanted… what does he want when he gets done work? A pizza or a cheesesteak. So one night he comes over it’s nearly midnight and we have had this problem before we call a zillion places and they are closed, we are out of delivery range, etc. He lives near this place so he calls and asks if they will deliver to my hood(I live near tritone and bob and barbs to give you an idea). They say sure so he orders… Now once he is off the phone he tells me you have to be precise in your ordering here. They have three styles of crust. Thin which is like paper and a bit too thin. Medium which is like thin crust at most places and truly the way to go in my humble opinion. Thick crust the ex says is horrid. So order a medium crust, well done, extra sauce, and whatever toppings. the ex is a double pepperoni kinda guy. Let me tell you… there was so much pepperoni you couldn’t see the cheese. This pizza was insanely good. So, much I have often contemplated ordering on my own.

Like most of us on here, i ordered from this place because of the proximity to my house. I’ll probably avoid it in the future. It wasn’t disgusting but i was far from impressed. First of all, I ordered green peppers and mushrooms and i got green peppers and onion(which i don’t mind so i didn’t ask them to remake it). they seemed apologetic about it though. The pizza was pretty cheap for how big it was(I got a large with a couple toppings and it was about $ 13). But the green peppers were obviously from a can and not fresh and instead of being chopped into the easily consumed pieces, they were just long slices that made the pizza hard to eat without peppers sliding off everywhere. It was just very mediocre. But it’s cheap, close, and they seem like they have an extensive menu. I’m not sure I’m up for giving it a try again any time soon especially when other, much better places will deliver to me, but maybe it will work out better for someone else.
