Top Cut Salon

I normally go to Supercuts but with the weather and winter storm, I went to the closest place. When I first walked in I was worried because no one seemed to speak english and everyone was glued to a Chinese game show that looked like a cross between American Idol, The Weakest Link and The Dating Game. The last time I found myself in this predicament I ended up battling Lo Pan for the life of my green eyed beauty, but this time it was much more pleasant.
The stylist did not speak much english but spoke more than enough for me to get intentions across. The cut was very efficient and he spent a lot of time at the end making sure my misshapen head looked normal with my hair. The cut was only $ 10 for cut only and he did a good job. I’ve had better cuts in my life but not for the price. If I was going to an interview or a wedding I might spend the extra money but I was very happy with my cut. Walk down the street to 10^th for the cheapest veggie and fruit market in town.

Cut took over half an hour, but only cost $ 12. + tip. Was surprised I was the only one in the place on a Monday when the other barber in town was closed. The room was a bit crampy and did not strike me as clean. They also used the front door for air conditioning, which admitted more noticeable levels of noises, nicotine and CO than useful oxygen, I am afraid. Nonetheless I was pleased with the thoroughness of the cut, for the price, and would come back again for another trim.

Get my hair cut & styled here and so does my entire family. The team of workers are wonderful. All my needs are met & even more with the wonderful head, shoulder & neck rubs after having my hair washed. Been to many other salons, & actually work as a receptionist for another salon, yet have never had an experience such as this. Great work!

i came here with two friends on a weekday afternoon. the place was empty, so all the attention was on us. victor is the only one who cuts hair, so the other two ladies there acted as his assistants. one basically did nothing, and the other shampooed and washed my friend’s hair. she also got a shoulder massage after that.
victor seems to have done a good job with my two friends. one had very fine hair, and he was able to trim off a good 4 inches and style her hair with more volume. the other friend had thicker hair and he gave her a cute looking medium-​length haircut with correctly placed layers to frame her face.
however, when it came to my turn, i was a bit peeved. i don’t trust my hair to anyone new, but i badly needed a bang trim for my upcoming europe trip. so i specifically asked for only a bang trim. i told him the exact length, and to maintain my current sidesweeper hairstyle. but he kept leaving my bangs longer than i wanted, and it had to be recut 3 times before he got the correct length. but i guess better to be conservative on the longer side than on the short side.
but then he decided to get creative with my bangs, and did this funky choppy layered bangs look on the side. just fyi– choppy bangs do not go well with a sidesweep. i ended up having to fix it myself when i got home.
he also tried to push a full haircut on me, trying to tell me what he would like to do while playing with my hair. i almost pulled my hair away and told him to stop twirling it like a little girl. i had to insist that i only wanted the bang trim, NOT a complete haircut.
my friends’ haircuts were $ 18 and my bang trim was $ 7. how does that make sense? i’ll admit that his haircuts looked decent on my friends and other people may like victor, but his style of cutting hair just doesn’t suit me.

Victor does a great job cutting my hair. My (men’s) haircuts are only $ 10 and usually come out pretty well. Where else can you get a haircut from a barber wearing a holster containing a dozen different types of scissors? As a result of discovering this place, I’ve started getting haircuts more frequently. If you are a guy looking for a basic professional haircut (i.e. a standard, conservative style), this is a fine place to go. They also do women’s hair styling, but I can’t speak about that from personal experience.
