Problems problems problems with the management office about every issue you could think of. Very unprofessional! I lived in Navona building for a year and it sucked, happy the lease ended and I no longer have to live there! The parking is terrible like parking in a pond. See pics of parking trash pond lot! Btw Unilocal removed my review I posted in 2014! I guess the truth hurts. It’s an all around bad place to live.

Just the worst. I lived on liberties walk for a year and with all the things that went wrong, I’m glad it was just a year. Maintenance requests only are handled in a timely manner if they are emergencies, which means I put all my requests through to the emergency hotline.
They emailed us our move out date and since that was 3 weeks after our lease ended, they neglected to tell us we would be charged for those 3 weeks. And worse, they came in a week earlier and cleaned out everything that we had left in the apartment without our consent and changed the lock before we could even move out.
Terrible communication with their tenants and way overpriced rent, your better off finding a rowhome nearby. Avoid like the plague!

Highly recommend against renting from this company. As a former tenant and part time employee I was amazed at how unprofessional and shamelessly rude the staff can be. The only people working at this company who seem to have the tenants in mind is the maintenance staff, they were kind and helpful. However the accounting staff and property management see tenants as mere dollar signs and will happily walk all over you. Upon moving out of our house the staff fabricated charges and not only kept our entire security deposit (2500 $), they had the audacity to try and charge us extra on top.
If you ever have the pleasure of dealing with the owner’s entitled son hold on for a bad experience. He is rude, uneducated, and ignorant to the world. On top of this he is extremely wealthy due to his father’s fortune and has no shame is bragging. Also avoid the women from accounting if possible, they were happy to reprimand us as if we were children as we moved into and out of the house.
I would rather have a landlord who ignored my calls rather than deal with Tower again. They are likely to answer you will a real attitude and squeeze every dollar possible out of your lease. Stay away if possible!

They have a lot of properties, so to be more helpful this is about the ERBE units.
Lived here for: 3 years in two different units (a 2 bedroom & a 1 bedroom).
They’ve gone through various managers and right now they’re in great hands. The leasing office, maintenance team, and management personnel are all helpful, responsive, and understanding if you give them the chance to be. They’ve responded to repairs in/​around our unit, the need to downsize, and other issues that may have been frustrating at first but in the end they got the job done.
Our building is cleaned daily: floors mopped, recycling and trash removed.
The view is great: of either the city skyline or the piazza where all the events go down
Its pet friendly:
— there are a lot of dog walkers in the area & two dog parks;
— no weight limit on dogs;
— concrete floors are easy to keep clean and scratch free.
Noise might be annoying if your unit is right by the stage and facing the Piazza. But I never heard my neighbors when we had them. Hallway noise does transfers easily, so sometimes you hear a drunk neighbor coming home but once they’re in their unit its silent again.
Most occupants are friendly, young (20 – 40 yr old) professionals with pets.
Typically get discounts for great neighborhood amenities:
— Northshore pool,
— local fitness clubs,
— certain bars/​restaurants
— NYE in the piazza
Nearby: grocery store, bank, dry cleaners and ATM in the building, private pool, a park, the El line, and a lot of great local café’s, bars/​restaurants, fitness centers, pet shops, etc.
IF ONLY:
The thing I’d keep an eye on is the rent… I hear its running a little steep for the two bedrooms (although they’re pretty big). This is why we downsized two years ago.

If you love thin walls, loud neighbors, parties at all hours of the day/​night on any day of the week then living at the Piazza is for you! If you don’t have a job that requires sleeping at night, then you’ve found the perfect home! If you are a spoiled kid that has no regard for your neighbors, then move right in! Don’t worry, Management will not respond to your complaints! And lastly, you will be happy to hear that even though you spent hours cleaning your apartment when you move out, you will get, at the most, only half of your security deposit back! What else could you ask for?

I soooo regret that I moved to towerdev apt. First of all, cheap and poor constrction and thin walls always let me hear neighbors as they were next to me. When moved out, they deducted $ 800 from $ 1500 deposit for painting and cleaning. And we cleaned and painted the apt to make sure its in the same condition prior moving out! I wish I made pics, because when we asked tower dev management to check apt to make sure everything allright, they never did, so they just deducted as much as they want without any notice leting usknow what was wrong! Total rip off! If anybody has any advice id i can fight some money back, I’ll appreciate!

i lived in liberties walk for a year and it was not a real Philadelphia experience like you would get from a row home. the apt was cheaply built and tower was hard to contact for maintenance. i also lost money upon moving out because tower would not cooperate with PGW in shutting off my gas. i had to pay for two extra months.

Nothing but terrible things to say about Tower Investments. My family lived in one of their properties. We packed up our entire house to move in, but L&I beat us there — the Tower Investment house did not meet liveable standards. Tower moved us into a hotel to stay for a week and promised to reimburse us — they never did.
Hardwood floors were really Pergo. Taking a shower caused the cieling to leak all over the floor.
When calls were made for repairs they were rarely returned. The poor gentleman that helped us fix our house admitted that he was overworked and often not paid by Tower.
After moving out of that nightmare, I have had innumerable friends and associates do business with the Tower Team. In each and every case the person was not paid for their services, tricked, or mislead (even back stabbed in one case) in some way.
I know the apartments and retail spaces look nice — but speak to tenants first. Ask the retail shops, the restaurants, the young people in the apartments. Everyone pays a different amount in rent. Most of them end up regretting doing business with them.

AND MY POOR OLD CAR GOT BROKEN INTO FOR A THIRD TIME. Just wanted to let people know that Tower does not care if your car gets stolen, things get stolen from you car, etc. Apparently they advertise that they have free parking! and a secure lot! I do feel really safe when I see a young boy about my age walking around in broad daylight with a security shirt on, yelling at people not to ride their bikes through the Piazza… but it does not carry over into protecting their tenants property. Oh and Tower does not know how to use phones or reply to emails so if any tenants need to report something or complain there is a 99.9% chance you will not hear back. Just thought I would add this lovely update after my third break in. Unfortunately for the thieves, there is nothing left in my car because they took it all last time and I am too stubborn to get a new stereo so we just i pod it up when driving. it’s extremely classy btw. All I ask is to be careful with their claims because free parking also means you are s.o.l. with security.

I think that Tower Investments has made a wise choice in rebuilding this community to a higher standard. The old brewery town is super cool, left with industrial buildings with lots of character! I am so glad that I found this place. If you are thinking about renting from one of their buildings in the NoLibs area… you will be pretty happy. The neighborhood is really good and the surroundings restaurants, shops, and bars are awesome. Liberties Walk has brought business into this area. Its a hip, local area and Tower Investments has maintained and surpassed preserving it the way it should have been long ago. —-only thing that sucks is our ceiling creaks when the upstairs neighbors walk— :/

I have no complaints about my landlord last year!
I know Tower is controversial – newbies coming in and gentrifying the neighborhood. But considering that they are trying to preserve the artsy atmosphere, raising home values, providing local business owners the chance to open their own stores, and are tearing down abandoned buildings, I’m giving them major props. If the city of Philadelphia won’t take care of its neighborhoods, I’m glad someone else is willing to invest.
My apartment was the largest and cheapest I saw in my hunt for Philly 2 bedrooms. We had FREE PARKING and everything was brand new (now a year old). Any issues with the building were resolved quickly and professionally.
If you are looking for an apartment company in Northern Liberties, look no further than Tower. Denise is really nice and will show you a dozen options for your price range.
P. S. The building on N. 2^nd street elicited the best comment ever from a cab driver who said, «Shoot! Look at that building! Whoever designed that MUST smoke marijuana!!»
