U-do We-do Laundromat

Despite living almost a 15 minute drive away, I came here to use the wash & fold service based on the positive reviews & the fact that there didn’t seem to be reliable wash & fold services in my own neighborhood. As a long time New Yorker I’m quite familiar with wash & fold as dropping off laundry was a regular weekly chore for most. I visited twice before my own unit was installed, but I was pleased with how quick & inexpensive U-​do We-do’s service was. I would definitely return for larger loads (sheets or blankets) as my machine can only fit a small load. I only gave them 4 stars because the folding was a little bit sloppy — but then again, I’m pretty particular about this.

If you don’t have a washer and dryer & you aren’t using this place, you are messing up. Solid machines, great dry situation, no one doing anything with your stuff. My only complaint is that the fans are weak, but for 2.75 a wash and dry, beggars can’t be choosers

Is exactly what it says it is. A great laundromat. Got in and got out in about 1.5 hours. Has baskets to help you move laundry and also a quarter machine in the back. I always went to the store across the street for a soda while the machine was going.

This place has become my go-​to for when I can’t be bothered with my own laundry. A couple of times I used a pick-​up-​at-​your-​house service cause I was too lazy to walk the 5 ½ blocks it takes to get to this joint. Hell, I’ve even been known to call an Über to help me with the drop-​off… (give me a break, it was drizzling out). But I’ve come to know that for the quality and price of service, it’s worth every step traveled.
The family running the place does an awesome job, and are seemingly very humble. I’ve never seen someone more grateful for a $ 2 tip! That’s a drop in the bucket considering they’re the cheapest «we-​do» service I’ve come across — something like 70 cents/​pound. They provide super quick same-​day service-​with-​a-​smile. Unlike other places, they fold my laundry so similarly to how I’d do it myself. No tiny little squares where you can’t even tell what shirt you’re picking out! (I’m talking to you We-​Wash-​It).
For «u-​do,» they’ve got huge industrial front load washers (35 pounds?) that would probably make a good hiding spot, plus some smaller child’s play ones. On top of that, there’s a whole slew of top-​load washers (do people really like those things?). The dryers are also giant themselves, and if I remember correctly they’re 25 cents for 6 minutes. I recommend splitting your stuff up anyhow so you don’t sit around waiting so long…
Overall, 4 stars earned.
–1 star because my last full service load came w/​a pair of underwear and a shirt that don’t belong to me. If they had fit, I’d let them keep the star! Well from now on, I will make sure to count my own clothes before I drop them off…

I really do love this place. Clean, relatively quiet, and inexpensive — what more could I want at a laundromat? I’ve only ever done the «U Do» so I don’t really know about their other services, though.

Giving this place 5 stars because it’s super convenient. Hours of operation makes life easy (7am-​midnight). It’s a family owned place and they are very nice people who always reach out to know if u r seeking help. Very clean place. Last but not least I was convinced to see how hard working these folks are.

I do the «u do» option. The lady working there was very helpful and friendly in explaining where things are and how to work the machines. I went very early and had three loads including bedding and towels done in an hour. Didn’t have any problem sitting and reading while I waited.

I used to love coming here, but they’ve recently changed staff and are extremely rude now…
Being a broke college student, sometimes doing laundry means scrounging up whatever change I have in order to get clean clothes. In the past, they’ve always been really nice about doing this but today, I went in to ask for change for my laundry, and the woman refused. Cash is cash, and if they didn’t have quarters, I would have understood, but she was just being rude and lazy about it. Does it really take that long to count out a couple quarters?
Really disappointed in this place, definitely not coming back.

I’ll be using this place for my laundry needs from now on. Dropped it off at 9PM, got a ticket, returned the following morning, laundry was cleaned and folded into the landry basket I brought it in. Cost was reasonable. No complaints.

Amazingly cheap. It’s difficult for me to do any laundry anymore knowing that u-​do we-​do exists. I have three weeks of laundry (two tall baskets) to drop off and it never exceeds $ 20.
Only issue is that they don’t line dry delicates or clothes that can’t be dried. As such I can only drop off some, and not all of my laundry which is frustrating.

I’ve been coming here regularly for about two months and I’ve never had anything but a great experience. I’ve always done my laundry myself, but they do quite a brisk laundry service. I’ve seen many customers drop off and pick up laundry and they all looked happy.
I go here in the morning on weekdays, so for me, its never been busy. If quarters get eaten or there’s any kind of issue, the employees/​owners are very friendly and helpful. There’s a decent amount of space for folding and it’s relatively clean. But there are only 3 seats available if you’re waiting.
Prices: $ 1.75 for the washers ($ 1.75 «super cycle»), 25 cents per 6 minutes of drying.

This was our go to laundromat for almost an year, from mid 2012 – 13. We have used both the «U do» and «We do» parts! We tried their washing and folding service, we were happy with the outcome: clean and neatly folded laundry, with special care for delicates. Even my tiny socks (yes I have small feet) were folded in a cute fashion, I couldn’t reproduce that fold myself. However it can get expensive to use «we do» all the time, so we did our own laundry most times. The bigger washers are convenient to use when you are doing laundry less frequently especially in winter. Be careful while selecting the settings for washers/​dryers, they are pretty powerful. I accidentally damaged some of my delicates by using what I thought would be safe/​mild setting.

I think that this place has stopped me from doing laundry. possibly. FOREVER.
I moved into an apartment that didn’t have laundry. I’ve passed this place a million times going to CVS but never had use for it.
I think the name is silly. «U-​Do-​We-​Do» so as the name suggests you can either wait and do your laundry there, or drop it off and pick it up later (like. all laundromats?)
For me, I always drop it off. The first time, I didn’t have time to do my laundry, so I dropped off 2 weeks. maybe 3 weeks of laundry. When I came back the next day, all my clothes were nicely folded, smelled great. and cost $ 10.
For me, that is totally worth it. You’re saying. I can spend roughtly $ 10 – 20 (it’s based on weight so if you have towels/​sheets it will cost more) every 3 weeks or so. never have to fold my clothes. just. put them away in my drawer? I’m sold.
Laundry usually takes me 2 – 3 hours waiting for dryer/​washing/​folding. This is about time-​money-​value for me folks. + Laziness. + never folding clothes again
Also, the ladies that run the place are friendly, always smiling. I’m happy to be a regular non-​clothes washer at this establishment

I have always liked doing my laundry. It’s one of those things that makes me feel productive even when I’m watching TV or surfing the web because SOMETHING IS GETTING CLEAN. While I wait. It’s magical, really.
Well, U Do We Do just took it to the next level. Because now, I can feel productive because someone ELSE is doing my laundry. I have outsourced my laundry to a kind and lovely woman named Lynn who does phenomenal work (how do they fold everything so flat?! Even fitted sheets?!)
We bring in up to 2 giant baskets at a time and it’s never more than $ 20. Bring cash when you come pick it up — and remember your pink ticket! But fear not if you’re only got your debit card; there’s an ATM across the street at CVS. Also, a damn convenient parking lot if, like us, you want to drive your laundry someplace for someone else to wash, dry and fold it… instead of walking it 4 blocks.
Anyhow, some may think I have reached a whole new level of lazy. I think we’ve found West Philly gold, and the feeling that I’ve finally made it in life. Because I have someone who does my laundry. And I love it.
(I will also mention there’s the whole «U Do» portion, which means you can do your laundry there too. I don’t know how you fold your laundry, but I bet it’s not as well as Lynn does ;)

There’s not much about a laundromat that CAN be reviewed, but this place has managed to impress me. It’s very clean, and the people who work here are very friendly and helpful. The guy was busy doing some «we-​do» laundry when he saw me struggling to find an open washer. He asked me how many I needed and claimed one for me while I fumbled with my things. In fact, he even went as far as to say «she’s using that» to someone when they swooped in to try and steal my washer.
It’s extremely crowded on Sundays, as to be expected, but it’s not terrible. I wouldn’t recommend going on a 90 degree day because they don’t have A/​C, only ceiling fans.

I HATE doing my laundry. Read the reviews for this site and decided to give it a go. I dropped off two huge bags of laundry yesterday afternoon, picked up today!
You don’t have to provide detergent and fabric softener, just bring your clothes.
My clothes were cleaned, fluffy, and folded nicely! All I had to do was put them away.
$ 16 well spent. I will be a regular!

Do you remember when you realized that being an adult is kind of tough? You have to work, clean dishes, take the trash out and do laundry. Getting all that done AND having a social life isn’t easy. U-​do We-​do makes your dreams of someone else doing your laundry come true. And you won’t even need to get a second job to pay for it.
For just one or two dollars extra per load, they will clean, dry and fold your laundry, often having it ready in less than 12-​hours. Not only that, but they’re open until midnight, so you can return with your pink ticket late in the evening to receive folded piles of awesomeness and experience wonderment about how you ever managed without them.
If the ‘we-​do’ doesn’t float your boat, they have lots of washers and dryers to use, so you can clean your laundry in the more typical (u-​do) way. Add to this that they’re friendly and super reliable and you really can’t go wrong. If you too want to live the laundry-​dream, bring cash (or get cash-​back from the 24-​hour CVS opposite — another plus about this location) as they don’t accept cards.
But I have to give you a warning — once you start, you won’t ever want to go back!

This is my local laundromat and I love this place.
First off, I do my own laundry. I’ve never had the necessity to have anyone else do my laundry nor been too busy to have to drop it off. If the need ever arose, I’m sure I’d do it, but again — there are seven days in a week and that’s enough time to do at least one load.
This place is typically clean. There are more than enough washers and dryers humming at any given hour to keep this place alive, even at 11:00 pm. The hours are very early, like 7:00 am through midnight. I have gone late at night around 10 pm and finished my laundry in time before the store closed.
There is a change machine near the middle of the laundromat, should you only have $ 1s, $ 5s, or $ 10s burning a hole in your wallet. If you have a $ 20 bill, then the staff will exchange that for 2 rolls of quarters at $ 10 each. Pretty sweet.
The washers and dryers are all pretty clean and standard sized, although I do prefer the units in the back — they are larger (washers and dryers). The largest washers are currently $ 3.75 per cycle and the larger dryers are the standard $ 0.25 for 6 minutes of dryer time.
The staff are all nice, and also very quiet. I like chatting with the staff who are actually approachable if you talk to them, otherwise they may seem focused on their work and may not say a word. This is a pleasant laundromat and I’ll continue patronizing it.

I’ll fess up — sometimes I pay other people to do my laundry. I’ve been using U-​do We-​do for a little over a year and my experiences have almost always been positive. They charge around $ 4 to $ 5 a load, which, given my hectic schedule and by absolute abhorrence (is that a strong enough word?) for doing laundry, is completely worth it.
When you go they’ll take your laundry bag and give you a little pink slip with a number on. When you go to pick up your clothes (which are always ready within 24 hours), they’re clean, nice-​smelling, and immaculately folded. They don’t put your bras in the dryer, and they don’t mix your whites and reds.
I’m docking a star for three reasons.
1) Once I left a lipstick in my pocket and they didn’t notice, which resulted in a stain on a white shirt. That said, that has only happened once in many visits, and they pointed it out to me right away (rather than hoping I just didn’t notice) and apologized.
2) They only take cash. Fair, but a little bit of a hassle.
3) Once I came home with 8-​year-​old-​boy-​sized superman underwear. Now, I love superman underwear as much as the next girl, but I can’t help but feel a little sorry for the kid who is now down one pair of superhero undies.
