UC Cedar

I’ve lived in many cities: Baltimore, Chicago, San Francisco, Ann Arbor, Geneva, and have had many landlords. I’ve never had any landlord who has shown such disregard (bordering on contempt) for the safety, health and well-​being and privacy of tenants as UC Cedar LP.
UC Cedar LP doesn’t keep its word: for 6+ months, I’ve been promised CRUCIAL repairs to remedy a potentially life-​threatening situation. This is due to UC Cedar’s removal of support structures, rendering part of the building completely unsound.
UC Cedar LP has no respect for the community: another tenant was resident in our building for (I believe) 30+ years. UC Cedar took ownership of the building in Dec. 2013, then forced this long-​time resident out, much to his dismay.
UC Cedar LP doesn’t care about the safety of its tenants: In their zeal to renovate the newly-​vacant apartment, UC Cedar’s workers have managed to cut electricity to my apartment (for over a week now) during the hottest part of the summer. Also the workers have knocked holes in my walls, compromising the apartment’s privacy safety and integrity. At the time of writing, no specific plan to repair this has been so much as mentioned by UC Cedar LP.
It appears that UC Cedar employs Unfair Rental Practices. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Philly Fair Housing Commision.
