While waiting for our friends to meet up with us for the mc trip, we thought we’d grab a quick bite. Having had enough of a healthy, vegetable diet, this was a welcome change, but it was a bit more fat filled than I needed. But we live only once, right? She had a fried porgie sandwich, which she enjoyed, but I felt was a little fishy. I had the «Taste of Jamaica» curried chicken… fantastic, but later after a few hours on the bike…
If I lived closer, I would eat here again, but I would have to be in the mood… this is not my typical diet.

The service here is stellar… You can tell that it’s a family that is running it by the attentiveness and attitudes of the staff.
But that’s the ONLY positive to this restaurant. This place is obviously on it’s last leg as ¾ of the menu items are «out of stock» and the stuff that is in stock is borderline rancid. Dry over-​fried chicken, cold sides, and stale corn bread.
I’m not a fan of kicking a man when he’s down but these positive reviews are, in my opinion, bogus and I don’t want someone else to suffer from believing the fake 4-​star hype.

I went here and ordered a cheddar cheese burger. Simple request. It took 15 minutes to get the burger and when it came out not only was the cheese not melted, it had MOLD on it! This was suppose to be cheddar, not blue cheese. I lived in the South, this was not it. This used to be a great Vietnamese place.
I think the other reviews are fake.

This gem can be a bit tricky to find since it is located at the Penn Jersey Truck Stop of all places!
The staff was very friendly and courteous. We ordered the pork chops with black eyed peas over rice and cole slaw & BBQ chicken with mac ‘n cheese and collard greens.
The meat was very tasty and the sides to die for! There was enough food to last two meals and the price was right.
We will be back!

Awesome service & great food.
Ribs — fell off the bone and the sauce was superb!
Collard Greens — they were the real deal, the best I’ve had.
Cole Slaw — a great compliment to the meal and fresh.
I’m not usually a big fan of corn bread, but it was so good I hammered it.
It’s really nice to be able to get good southern food near where I live… finally.

I stumbled upon this place by accident actually. I was looking for another restaurant and found this one instead. I didn’t feel like driving any longer so I stayed. My visit turned out or the best! The waitstaff here was so nice and courteous. Since I’m from the south, I wanted to test and see how well this place stood up to tradition. The food was great and full of soul! The talapia was perfectly seasoned. The collard greens and black eyed peas were great! And the cornbread was sooo good! Tasted almost like cake! I will be stopping by here again!
