Array South Mountain Apartments

Okay so I see a lot of 1 stars and some people wishing it could be 0 stars. Let me give you my honest opinion. I am a current residence and have lived here for 2 years. First off this apartment complex is huge. over 1000 apartments and 3 levels of people on top of people. People say they have a problem with maintenance requests but in 2 years and living in a 2 bedroom and a 3 bedroom maintenance has either come the same day or no late then the next day. I have never ever had a problem with maintenance. This is Arizona your AC will go out at least 3 times in a summer but its always fixed within a few hours. Secondly I hear people calling Presido/​Array Ghetto. People please understand just because African americans live here don’t make it ghetto. I have had white neighbors who would not walk their dog and have it urine and poop on the patio and it leaks down to my patio… Guess what they are no longer here because I complained and they where written up.
Third, Array is centrally located in the heart of Ahwatukee which boasts one of the best school districts in Arizona so please don’t be upset because people relocate here or move hear from other parts of Phoenix to give their children a more diverse lifestyle. There is a huge park next door, A rated schools, Tons of shopping and restaurants, Easy Access to I-​10, close to airport.
This area is very diverse and a huge melting pot of races.
Yes you will have problems with trash and kids playing around. Its because this place is huge. My children (African American) play outside ride their bikes with friends etc, but please don’t call my children ghetto because they are black… My wife as an MBA, I have a Masters and work for the Kyrene school district. We aren’t ready to buy a home yet so we rather stay here because I only pay 860 for a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment which is the cheapest in this area… so I will never complain about this complex. I get what I pay for. Yes I can live next door at sonoran but why pay 1300 in rent for a 3 bedroom just because they have a gate up…
Yes this apartment complex is the only apartment complex in Ahwatukee that takes Section 8 vouchers so you may get that type of resident looking to enjoy what ahwatukee has to offer. Just smile, be kind to your neighbor, if you don’t like it here then move, don’t write negative reviews. I moved here from Pennsylvania and if I read the reviews I would have missed out on a decent property. BTW, I have never seen a Scorpion or any type of bug in my apartment. Take advantage of the free pest control that comes on Thursdays.

I’ve only lived here for two months, in a one bedroom apartment, I am a full time college student. maintenance request have not been completed. Nieghbors and employees seem to have a problem with Hispanics and blacks coming off racist! And I have been getting harassment notes on my door and honestly do not feel safe living in this complex. I do not recommend!!!

I find it amusing that you guys thought changing the name would help. The living conditions seem to still be unbearable. Fix the issues at hand and not the name. The fact that my roommates and I lived there for only 3 months, says something. Nothing was fixed properly, the management didn’t have a care in the world. You are so quick to take our money, but not to fix all the things wrong with the apartments. The health department should inspect the apartments. Cases of mold, that’s unacceptable.
