Vista Sureno Apartments

I have lived at this community for 3 years now. My lease is up for renewal and I will renew for another 12 months I would do longer if available.
I really liked the old staff but the new staff that is here is very friendly and helpful. They are painting and fixing up the community which is looking great. A BIG THANKS! I have over herd my neighbor say that people in office are not nice, these people have eviction notice on their doors all the time… What do they expect to live for free.
For all you people who are looking for a good place to live I like it here and don’t listen to all the nonsense that people post. They are just mad because they didn’t get there way.

Westwood just took over. I have never heard of them and cant find their website to see how long they have been in this business. Since they took over it seems like they have no idea what they are doing. No organization what so ever! I have received a notice about an emergency hot water leak which gave 15 hours notice to enter the apartment. After arranging to have someone in the apartment when they arrived and having no one enter, I called the office and they said it was notice that the water was turned off. That is not what the letter said.
Secondly, I currently live in a 1 bedroom apartment and have one toilet. They are closed on Sundays when my only toilet was not working. I called the number for the office which never directed me to the emergency maintenance line. I left two messages as well as emailed twice to get someone out immediately since I had company coming. They never responded to either of my messages and I had to call my company and tell them to use the bathroom before they came over. HOW EMBARRASSING!!! The next day I went to the office and told me that the number I called was accurate but never apologized for the inconvenience or even acknowledged my calls or emails. The gentleman in the office with the bald head seemed to not know what the heck was going on and just stared at me. As long as the office is open they fixed this issue within the hour. If you have an emergency anytime the office is closed don’t count on getting any assistance from them.
Thirdly, I received an email on Christmas eve regarding a package that had arrived. They took time to create a PDF attach it to an email and send to me. The letter was dated ¹²⁄₂₃ but sent ¹²⁄₂₄ with no time to actually get the package so I had to wait until I was off when they were open. I went in ¹²⁄₂₇ and I told them my apartment and name and again looked at me like I had two heads. No package there for me. Not to mention the lady in the office with long dark hair was extremely rude. I said hello to her and she rolled her eyes at me and turned away. I could not believe it. The lady in the office to the left right after you walk in is the only one who has a positive attitude. She has always been pleasant and helpful everyone else I don’t know why they work there.
Based on what I have seen so far I would not suggest it. I have been living and Vista Sureno for over a year now. I haven’t had any issues but Westwood takes over and they have been nothing but unorganized and unprofessional in the short time they have been there. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Westwood mgmt company has taken over our apartments & they are absolutely terrible. Rude office staff, not helpful, & we have been without hot water for approximately one week now. They sent someone out to «fix» the problem & he was standing in the parking lot threatening & yelling at a taxi driver who came through the lot. Unacceptable. I’m having to call the landlord-​tenant association at this point. Stay away!
