I order a birthday cake for my baby first birthday I gave him the picture that I found from Pinterest so he looked at it seem like is not a problem for him, he charge me $ 160 it’s a little expensive for the cake but I thought it’s worth it. So on the day that we have to pick up the cake my husband go pick it up because I have to go to work, so when I got home from work and saw the cake, I got so mad because the cake that I ordered is not the same one. Not the same color, not the same design and I think the cake that they did was so ugly, I don’t know what to do now, just got so mad and want to cry

My wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. I would highly recommend Bamboo Bakery! I did pink champagne with cream cheese filling. AMAZING!

I’ve been coming to Bamboo Bakery for awhile now for special order cakes. I use to even go to their old location on Glendale Rd. I love the cake flavors and their ability to make the cakes that I ask for. I had them do my wedding cake which was in 2007 and just recently my daughter’s quince cake ¹⁰⁄₂₀₁₅. When you book you put down a deposit for the appointment. If you are ordering a cake that requires them to use tiers you pay a deposit and that is refundable once you bring back their equipment. I normally pick up my cakes so can’t really comment on the delivery other than my wedding cake which was years ago. They had an issue finding the reception location, but called to say they were running late. Communication was there, so no complaints.

You and your staff at Bamboo Bakery did an amazing job with the cake and cupcakes for our wedding this past weekend! I’m just glad that there were leftover cupcakes for me to enjoy all to myself! From the cake tasting, to the order process and delivery, each step of the way was easy and timely. I can honestly say I have never had a better cupcake period than what we had for our wedding. I advise anyone looking for a cake for any occasion to work with David and Bamboo Bakery. Also, don’t be a fool, pick the whipped cream frosting, it is unbelievable!

This year for my birthday my boyfriend paid $ 350 to have a cake designed for me. The outside was very creative but the taste was horrible and disgusting! At my party people was spitting out the cake it was embarrassing.
It was a waste of money! My cake tasted very old, stale and dry as if it was sitting out for a week. I ordered pink champagne cake told them make it very very sweet lotts of sugar instead they did the opposite and made it taste like a sugar free cake there was no flavor to it I was outraged I asked for strawberry filling and they put bananna or some other disgusting filling! The cake was about 6 inches tall/​thick I was told they was going to put multiple layers of filling instead they put one thin layer of filling of a flavor I didn’t request. It also looked like a white cake! Why would they make a beautiful design on a horrible tasting cake If you are going to make a cake it needs to take good and fresh as it looks dont be cheap and not add ingredients just to save you some money. This was a disaster people was making jokes at how horrible my cake tasted. This place is overpriced and very cheap on adding ingredients I will never go back.

David was great to work with! I am so thankful for him because our venue did not have a fridge in which we could store our cake in the 92 degree weather. David called my husband and said he would personally deliver the cake himself about half an hr before the cake cutting began. Sure enough as we were finishing dinner we saw David come in with our cake. It was beautiful and vintage like just how we had hope it would be. The taste was even better. I ordered a three tier wedding cake for 150 guests only about 90 of my guests showed up and the cake was completely gone! We did get to keep our top tier made especially for us and it was even better. Thank you David for an amazing wedding cake with an amazing taste. Definitely recommend!!!

They delivered the wrong cake to my wedding. They didn’t even apologise and are refusing to refund my money even though I got a cake I’m allergic to.
Update: they have contacted us, they are giving us a partial refund and making us a new anniversary topper. We are happy with this compromise.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. They delivered the wrong cake to my client’s wedding which means they also delivered the wrong cake to another wedding. And ruined two weddings! They went this morning to get a refund on a cake that they couldn’t eat. One of the brides is allergic to chocolate and they delivered a chocolate cake instead of the pink champagne cake they ordered.
In addition they delivered the cake at 1 pm and the venue doesn’t open until 2 pm. Luckily someone was there to receive it.
They refused to give them a refund and didn’t even apologize. Instead they laughed about ruining their wedding. And the cake didn’t taste any better than a Costco cake. I’d expect more for something they paid several hundred dollars for.

David is a true artist for his work. He was willing to work upon my request and treated us with such a nice and professional manner. It was so easy to talk to David regarding the cake option for my wedding. I lost the cake stand, he still gave me partial refund. I required venue changed, he was quick to switch options. Every time I contact him, he has never obliged to refuse any of my «crazy» needs.
The decoration is nice and beautiful. I have to say that the cake tastes so good. I like the lemon filling while my husband loves the coffee flavor. I just wish that this bakery was somewhere near me, so I can come back and support his business more in the future.

David, the owner, handled our cake order from the first phone call I made to personally handing off the cake to my husband in our car so no damage would occur. I came across Bamboo Bakery in an anxiety-​filled quest for a custom cake baker who, somehow, by the grace of God, could turn around a custom designed cake in 48 hours. After Let Them Eat Cake totally flaked on me, leaving me and my 1 year old without a birthday cake for our 25 guests, I called Bamboo, spoke to David, and he gave me the customer service and answers I deserved. He explained what he could do, what was impossible and provided numerous suggestions and pictures. Sadly, fondant was totally out of the question so my initial vision wasn’t do-​able but the end product was still incredible! All of our guests loved the cake design and the cake itself. It was gorgeous and tasty! David asked me to come in so there’d be no miscommunication and what he sketched is what we got! I was so impressed! With the little amount of time we had (thanks to Let Them Eat Cake flaking at the 11^th hour) we went for a simple Hawaiian look that turned out flawless. I happened to get to the bakery a bit early and David let me watch him work. I was amazed at the pure talent and artisanal perfection I witnessed. I will be returning to this shop for my future cake needs!

I must admit I am not a sweet tooth kind of person — but I tried a sample of the Bamboo Bakery cakes 2 times already during their Bridal expo events held the first Thursday of every month and OMG sooo delicious! And the manager hands out the samples himself! Great personal service & cakes — really nice to see the concept of family business still in place in today’s bakery business. Wish I would have known about this place in Feb when I got married — check them out you will love it!

Bamboo Bakery saved my wedding! I was literally 1 month before my and no cake because someone bailed on me. I called David, showed him exactly what I wanted and 1 month later it was at my wedding perfect and delicious as could be. 5 stars for them and tier service, so glad I chose them:)

We recently had our wedding, and after hitting up another popular wedding bakery for a tasting, we were left hoping for another alternative. We googled and found that Bamboo Bakery was just down the street from our house. We called up and made an appointment for a tasting. I took my then future in-​laws and we tried like 8 different kinds of cake and 4 different frostings, and found ones we all agreed were very tasty. We signed up to get the economy cake, which was really reasonable when compared to many other bakers. Well, we had a few more guests RSVP than we planned, and I had to call twice to expand the size of the cake, but the bakery was very gracious and accommodating. Though I never plan on getting married again, I’d use this bakery for other special events or to suggest to friends.

We went for a tasting, gave us samples of about 8 types of cakes.
Here is problem 1, the tasting is one bite and the cake is obviously thawed out from being frozen. Not moist, rather bland and being only one bite its difficult to tell if you and your soon to be spouse really both enjoy it wtihout another taste.
Owner told us that we should come back again and sit down with a designer to get an exact price quote and what we wanted. So. I called back to make the appointment and the owner wanted ANOTHER $ 25.00 to come back and sit down with them. I told him, we already tasted the cake, why do we need to pay you another $ 25??? He said «our policy». What a joke and quite frankly poor business ethics.
I am actually glad as I wasnt NOT impressed with the samples served prior.

We’ve had Bamboo cakes for our family birthday gatherings for years, and I’ve always loved the flavors that we’ve had, but the favorite has got to be the plain vanilla cake with the young coconut filling.
My sister got a Bamboo cake for her wedding a few years ago, so when it came to my wedding, I already knew I had to get one as well. David did a great job. All we cared about was the flavors, so we got a budget cake, but it looked beautiful and was delivered on time to the location, and we got our deposit back quickly after returning the stuff that held the cake up and together. We’ll be back for more cakes and can’t wait til the new place opens up, since that will be closer to our house.
Just expect a lot of face to face meetings as they don’t seem to answer emails or phone calls. An inconvenience to run into to get a good price for a good cake.

I have ordered several cakes from Bamboo Bakery… and they seriously deliver nothing but the BEST.
I will post up photos of the 2 recent cakes our family has ordered soon. One is a white cake with pink and black decorations. It was for my sister’s sweet 16^th birthday bash. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about the cake! It was a 2-​tiered round cake. The raised columns really made the cake stand out. The decorations for her party were white, silver, fuschia, and black so the cake correlated VERY well. One tier was chocolate fudge and the other tier was strawberry champagne flavored. :) It was all gone by the end of the night.
The second cake was for my ASU graduation party. Once again, we had the cake match the decoration colors. We used Black and Gold for the party decorations and the cake was exactly that. This time, we chose to go with 2-​tiered square cake. It was GORGEOUS and everyone at the party loved it! The taste was out of this world too! We chose fresh strawberries and bavarian crème for the filling with whipped cream as the frosting. Let’s just say… it was so good I had the top tier all to myself and ate it for lunch everyday until it was all gone.
The flowers on the cake were beautiful and it was so well created, that my father couldn’t even stop talking about it. He said «Wow! The cake is so pretty… especially the gold flowers!». This coming from a quiet, reserved, picky man… was one of the greatest compliments this cake could have received. :)
You’ll never be able to customize a cake the way you can at Bamboo Bakery! They create the most beautiful cakes and can really make your events truly «special».
I will be ordering from them… FOREVER!

The best cake!
I found bamboo bakery when I was searching for a reasonably priced cake for our wedding, that was 2 months away. They did such a fantastic job with our cake. Everyone loved our cake. Our anniversary cake tasted soooo good, even after a year. I couldn’t believe it. David was very helpful in showing us how to cut the cake and store the anniversary cake. We also ordered my daughter’s princess cake which was a hit at her birthday. I highly recommend Bamboo Bakery.
