There aren’t too many places like Bash in Phoenix. There are places that try, and some that overdo, but it knows it’s niche, and sticks to it. This is the neighborhood discount fashion store. K-MoMo tries to have that feel, but those in the mall are too fancy to really count and some others look more like a dollar store. There are tons of spots like this in LA, and that’s definitely the vibe I got walking through the door. Let me just mention a few of the brand names that are in this place, for well under their standard price. Apple bottom, Perry Ellis, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Ecko, Stetchers, All-Stars — and those are just the ones that I recognized. There were quite a few more that LOOKED like the kind that I should have known, but I’m just not that fly. Women’s jeans were about $ 19 and I saw some really awesome club shirts for $ 12. But don’t think it’s just all about the men and women’s clothes. There are also school uniforms for the kids, baby clothes, some girlie costumes with butterfly/fairy wings and tiara’s, heck — even a small plus sized section. They even had luggage in the back next to the scrubs in oh so many designs and cologne in the case up front. And I have a sneaky feeling if you wanted it, they could have found it for ya. This is one of those places went away when people stopped shopping in their own neighborhood and just started going to the mall. I’m happy to see that a few of them still stuck it out.
