Just read the reply by Ella and boy is she a liar. I’ve never stepped foot inside your storefront and I definitely didn’t have children with me, I DONT even have kids. All of the interactions I’ve had with this company were via PHONE so nice try passing the blame on someone else’s kids. You clearly just showed your lack of professionalism and tried to blame someone’s kids for a negative Unilocal review yet you were probably the ignorant twit I spoke to on the phone.

I have used Classic Cakes and Confections several times and each time it has been an absolute Joy. The owners are friendly and knowledgable about everything dessert! They are easy to work with and helpful in recommending great flavors or designs for any occasion. I had them do my wedding cake and it came out beautiful. It was exactly what I was looking for. They have done cupcakes for my son’s birthday and they were so tasty and perfect for my event. We have also done cookies for my work and everyone just raved about them. They were beautifully done and tasted amazing. I would definitely recommend using them for any event you have planned. I will be planning my baby shower desserts with them soon. :)

Where do we even start with Classic Cakes? First, meeting and working with Ella was very fun. During our initial tasting, the decision of what to pick was hard because it was all delicious. It was seriously the best cake we had ever had. As we narrowed our choices to the top few, Ella gave her opinion on what combinations go well together. We were very happy with our selection on our wedding day and we were blown away with how beautiful the cake turned out! Fast forward to our 1 year anniversary… What would the celebration be without another cake from Classic Cakes? We had Ella replicate the top layer of our cake! Once again, it was delicious! Ella truly is a talented artist, and her cakes, a tasteful masterpiece!

Ella is amazing and so are her cakes! She made our wedding cake and a custom groom cake for my husband. Both looked incredible and were delicious. The cake was moist and fresh! I would definitely recommend Classic Cakes and Confections! We can’t wait for our one year anniversary when we plan to have a replica of the top tier of our cake made by Classic Cakes to celebrate.

I was disappointed that I couldn’t get a tasting on Saturday, but they were very nice and they have a great reputation, so hopefully in the near future I can experience the joy that all thier current customers experience

Worst. Experience. Ever. I went with Classic Cakes and confections because the reception location I picked contracted with them. We were told the price of the cake was included and we wouldn’t have to pay them any money — WRONG! Ok, so we had her add 3 sugar flowers to the cake — which wasn’t worth is because they looked awful. But I had agreed to pay extra for the them. $ 90 in total.
We had picked one of previous cakes she had done and said we want that exact cake (which had a monogram stencil of the bride and grooms first initials). Our cake was nothing like that! The monograms were hand done and sloppy at best. The caked tasted mediocre at best — bleh.
Did I mention, the owner was pushy and constantly talked about money? Which made my fiancé and I very uncomfortable. She also charged my card a second time w/​out my permission for some bogus charge. It was really «classy» of her to do that while I was on my honeymoon and couldn’t dispute the charges.
BRIDES BEWARE!

I purchased a cake and matching mini «smash» cake for my daughter’s 1^st birthday. The cake was gorgeous and tasted great as well. It looked so beautiful I didn’t even want to cut into it, but then when I did I was glad because the cake tasted so great! The cakes are on the extremely expensive side compared to others in the valley but it was worth the splurge. The design of the cake cannot be matched — It was worth paying for their creativity and skill. It was a very beautiful cake and I am pleased with how it turned out. When cutting into the cake, each layer was perfectly even in thickness, it looked like a cake in a food ad.
I was disapointed that I didn’t get to taste any of the cake flavors during my consultation. The cake flavors I chose were really good but it still would have been nice to sample each flavor. Ella was very pleasant to work with and I appreciated how quickly she responded to my emails. Overall, I am very pleased that I chose Classic Cakes and Confections for my daughters party.

We booked Classice Cakes & Confections for our 11÷22÷08 wedding!
The cake was UNREAL! She worked with our budget and helped us come up with an amazing design that fit in with our over all wedding theme. We did a couple different flavors and I wish I could have eaten each one at the wedding! SO GOOD! All of our guests raved about how tasty the cake was! The buttercream wasnt bogged down with sugar, it was sweet but didnt make you feel guilt after eating it.

So it’s now been a year since my initial review for Classic Cakes and Confections… I just came home from the North Scottsdale Party Expo (the same one I saw these cakes at for the first time last year). This time I still did not eat the cakes but I did learn that the mini-​wedding cake that we were given upon visiting the Montelucia months ago, was made by Classic Cakes and Confections… and it was deeeeeelicious! Since my last review, I’ve also had several conversations with Eleonara, the owner and passionate cake artist, so I can tell you what great work she does and how passionate she is about her business.
While I’m using another vendor for my wedding, I will say that I hope to use Classic Cakes and Confections for another event in the future. And if you’re in the market for the perfect cake, give Ella a call… I believe it’s by appointment only. Just one more thing — since these cakes are like pieces of art, make sure you take a picture of the masterpiece before you dig in!

Ella patiently sat with me listening to the few ideas I had, and then translating them into reality by sketching them all on paper (with colored pencils and stencils) until we came up with the perfect cake. Her creative work was beautiful. I really loved the taste of the cake as well– it is a bit different than your typical American overly-​sweet cake. What a pleasure to work with Ella!
