I really like this location, the staff and the selection. If I can’t find what I am looking for, they will order it and have it sent to the store or my home. Hubby LOATHES trying on clothes, I know his size and his taste, and let’s face most girls love to shop. Depending on the day and the mood, I can be up for it. This way, too, I know he won’t be running around in thread-worn clothes any longer than necessary. The quality of the clothing is exceptional. And they really can make a tall(and big) guy look good!

I have shopped at this location not for myself, but for someone else. The prices are way too high, and service is terrible. They do offer some cheap offerings like camp shirts that are just okay. The jeans and shirts that look nice are just too expensive. The workmanship for the clothes is nothing exceptional. Maybe prices are too high because more material is needed??? The sales people are so condescending, rude and not not helpful. I had to use a small ladder to get some items from a high shelf and a salesman yelled at me to get down from there. I did not get down. I told this hateful man that if he would stop watching TV and stop giggling with the other employees I would not have had to use the ladder. A couple of years ago I got an exceptional employee to assist me. I quickly learned she was a manager visiting from another store, and she has not appeared again. Some of the employees here think because they wear tight fitting jeans(that look ridiculous and disgusting on any man) and greasy hair gel that they are an exceptional sales thing. Maybe you were 25 years ago, but in 2016, try wearing age appropriate clothes and visit a dentist for a deep dental cleaning!

I’m conflicted about this place. I really am. On the one hand, as a big guy who has trouble finding clothes sometimes, this place is a lifesaver. On the other hand, this place is price gouging and their salespeople are working on commission in my opinion. Here’s the deal, I started shopping here in 2013 and was happy that they had such a nice selection of clothing and even suits. My first experience there was pretty good, as I got a salesperson who was from the UK and I was about to live there for a year and so we had a lot to talk about. However, after stopping in several times after that, I began to see how pushy a lot of the salespeople can be. Now don’t get me wrong, I like getting assisted like anyone else. But these folks are really ‘over the top’ with it. I mean, it is not possible to shop in peace at this store. They will approach you repeatedly. As someone who formerly had a career in sales, I can tell you that this is definitely NOT because they are«just trying to be helpful». I wish that were the case. But no, these folks are trying to meet sales quotas or they get commission from what they sell. Here are my reasons for suspecting this: 1. Using one of the dressing rooms without their help is not possible. 2. They always direct you to new items and the clearance stuff is way in the back, unseen. 3. The coupons they sent me were almost not honored because the salesperson I dealt with was dishonest about the amount I spent, telling me I needed to «buy another shirt» when I didn’t need to. 4. Everything in the store is at MSRP or «sticker price», just like in a car dealership. Look, being a fat guy has a lot of downsides. One of them is shopping for clothes. The sad thing to me is that places like DXL take advantage of that because they know how difficult it is for us guys to find stuff we like and can wear comfortably. Because of the reasons I outlined, I won’t likely be back unless I absolutely have no choice.

This is the best thing I have found in a very long time. I am big boned but just to still find my size at this department stores such as Dillards and Nordstrom’s with very few options. You friends tell me they sell nice clothes there and that’s no joke. I don’t know the Nordstrom’s will ever get my business and I’m getting items at a fraction of the cost that I used to pay at the department stores.

My husband who wears a tall size in shirts and jackets came into the Camelback location because of the large selection this store has. We were served by Christopher who was very professional and helpful and we were very happy with our purchases. He even was able to exchange an item previously purchased and the credit was applied to this sale. We will definitely be back to shop at this location again!

Well Destination XL is taking the country by storm as more and more of them are popping up to replace Casual Male Stores. This particular store would be considered my «LOCAL» store even though it is about 15 minutes away. The selection is vast and the staff is very friendly. The prices are a bit steep but the clothing is high quality… and I have been a customer for years with the Casual Male stores. I am huge fan of Destination XL but the reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because while the T-Shirts are high quality they shouldn’t cost 40 bucks. Also they got rid of the store credit a couple of years ago and I know for a fact that is why they have lost some customers. All in All if your a «BIG» guy or just like your clothes to fit you a little bit better… well Destination XL is your store. Eat, Drink, and be Merry my Friends!!!
