I am on the fence about this establishment. The food is never consistent, but I must say that I enjoy the pasta dish and drinks. My portion sizes are not consistent. It depends on who prepares your meal and time of day, I assume.

Service was good, food and drinks were not. Had the lamb sliders. 3 were well done and the fourth was under cooked. I ended up getting super sick about 15 mins later.

The staff, the food, and the bar. Simply amazing! I have no complaint, definitely on my top 5! Yesterday was my first time going and I have nothing else to say but that I will be back. The happy hour menu was also great!

We have been here a few times and liked it. I have celiac, which really is a bummer for eating out. I often end up ordering salads or steaks when eating out since they’re more likely to be safe. Fez does actually have gluten free bread for burgers and sandwiches, but it’s not super. It was quite hard, and I ended up finishing my burger with a fork and knife rather than mess with the bread. Still, food was good, service was good. Their drinks are very creative and tasty.

FEZ has the perfect balance between creative/modern cuisine and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Since moving downtown, this has been our go-to spot for a drink and quick bite. Every single waiter/waitress we’ve ever had has been not only enthusiastic but genuinely knowledgable about the food and drink menu in detail. I love restaurants that serve an interesting, progressive meal(start to finish) without feeling too«out there» and unrelatable. FEZ, don’t change a thing! p. s. They have a thing about sauces. All I can say is, try them all.

At lunch today: Kids both order chicken strips. Server offers fries or fruit instead of veggies. Kids of course say yes. $ 2.95 upcharge per kids meal… never disclosed by the server and not printed on the menu(kids burger comes with fries after all). Server got our fries order wrong… told us that when we asked for«S&P»(as it is described ONTHEMENU) she thought we meant sweet potato. Huh? Both adult salads were filled with limp, wilted, brown lettuce. At the end of the meal the server offered to get the manager, then came back with no manager and a list of excuses. Never coming here again.

Two words — Breakfast Pasta! Wife and I stopped by before going to an afternoon Phoenix Symphony Event. Called ahead to make reservations and had a nice booth. I would recommend making a reservation as Fez is really popular. Brian was our server and did a good job of keeping us filled and satisfied. After looking over the varied Breakfast Brunch options I choose their Breakfast Pasta on a whim. The menu description was intriguing — penne pasta tossed with sauteed linguica sausage, pepadew peppers, red onion, bacon & tossed with creamy scrambled egg; topped with parmesan cheese”. Whoa this is now a favorite(my wife told me I won the brunch wars today after I shared several bites). The eggs were perfected blended into pasta and the flavors all worked really well together. The sweetness of the peppers were a good contrast to the savory sausage and bacon. The ample bowl allowed us to linger and watch the eclectic clientele. Very diverse crowd who all seemed to enjoy their meals. We are definitely going back.

Food was great all around. My cousins ordered the gyro and fez burger; meanwhile my girlfriend got their tangier burger. All the burgers were fantastic including the side salads ! Because they got burgers I chose to order something different, so I order the Turkish plate. The Israeli couscous, baba ganoush, and hummus all received an A-, but the chicken breast I ordered with it was SOOOOTHIN that it looked like a sheet of paper.

Agree with past reviews on service; horrible experience there recently and the bartender is rude/condescending to patrons. The service was poor at the bar area and continued to decline in the dining room for the remainder of our dinner. We always love supporting local restaurants and do so frequently however we will never eat at this establishment again.

My family and I have been working to get together for brunch on Sundays so we can all catch up. This past Sunday we decided to go to FEZ for some yummy food, a brunch cocktail and to check out thier patio. This location is much larger than the previous FEZ location and was not very crowded at all. We did get there very early, probably 10/1030ish on a Sunday. We decided to go sit out on the patio to enjoy the weather. The patio is nice and was clean. The only part that was a little odd were some random people out on the street that wanted to gawk at us while we ate. We ended up moving away from the seating along the edge(not due to the random people outside, but the sun) and that seemed to fix the situation. The wait staff was GREAT! The offered to move us because they noticed my mom was not comfortabe in the sun. Also, my daughter stained my dress with some fruit and the waiter brought me some club soda so it would not set(and it did not), so I am very grateful of his thoughtfulness. The food did not disappoint. I had a mimosa an it was delish, cold, not too much OJ and the OJ was slightly pulpy and sweet. PERFECT! I had the small fruit and cheese board that came with a fresh moz, creamy brie and a fantastic savory and sharp goat cheese. There was also toasted herb kisra, however I will likely ask for toasted baguette next time instead, grapes, green apples, strawberries and the most amazing garbazos! The chickpeas tasted like they had been flash fried and then well seasoned with salt, pepper, chili powder and maybe some paprika. They were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle – very addictive! The rest of the crew enjoyed the coffee very much and had pancakes(looked ok, but not impressive), eggs(which my daughter, shes one and a half and LOVED the eggs, she literally clapped when we gave her a seconf helping) they looked fluffy and were obviously seasoned with salt and pepper, ham, bacon, potatoes and yummy toasted baguette with olive oil. We were all happy with our food and will be back! Check them out! Brunch time! Specials $ 4 mimosas or $ 15 for a bottle plus OJ. Yum!

Would go to Fez quite a bit before they relocated to current location. My favorite are their burgers especially the Douxelle Burger which comes on a Ciabatta Bun with mushrooms, onions, swiss cheese, tomatoes and mustard. Everything about this combination works and is one of the top burgers in Phoenix. Also had the rosemary fries which are excellent and served crisp. The staff is always attentive and there to top off your drinks. New location has a good size parking garage close to the restaurant if street parking is not available. One other option is the light rail has a stop very close to the front door.

I was absolutely disgusted/disappointed with this establishment. I went for a birthday dinner and ordered the All American Burger and got more than I wanted! Halfway through my meal I noticed a piece of metal in my meal. After bringing this to the attention of our server Martin he informed the manager Tim. Tim came over and tried to make light of the situation by making jokes, however, it made me feel uncomfortable as it was a laugh to be had at my expense. We felt as though he was mocking the fact that a piece of metal was in my meal, but this could have turned out to be a lot more serious had I actually bit into it. There was no answer on where it came from and how it found its place on my plate. I am writing this review in hopes that this establishment takes this seriously and it does not happen to someone else. I will post a pic…

The cocktail list here verges on «sorority drinks»(all sugar, no finesse) but manages to stay one step above. My donkey punch was delicious and I can safely say it’s the most pleasurable donkey punch I’ve ever had. ;) Timing on the food was a bit off as we ordered fries for an appetizer and they actually came after the meal. The patio is a great place to people-watch and I didn’t find the road noise off-putting(I often do).

I’ve been here many times in their other location and always enjoyed the food and service. I brought a friend from out of town after bragging about their food. I ordered the balsamic blue cheese burger cooked medium … My burger was awful. The meat was very red and mushy and the bun was a struggle to even bite into. I was going to send it back but my friend insisted I just try and eat it. So I tried, but it was just too raw. Our server was great and said she would ask them to fix it. Seemed like they just stuck the burger patty in the microwave and put it back on the bun which made it even worse. The fries I used to love so much were not hot and not quite cooked long enough. My friend got the baja tacos and said everything was ok except the tortillas seemed like they were not warmed up and easily broke apart when picking them up to take a bite, and ended up just eating the filling. I’m not sure if I’d go back for anything but drinks.

The lover took me here for Valentine’s day dinner. I’ve really been wanting to try this place. I really loved the décor and the feel of the restaurant when you first walk in. For drinks, I ordered the white chocolate martini. OHMYGOSH! this was amazing! I ordered two and couldn’t finish the second one but you definitely get your money’s worth. It was so delicious. As for my entrée, I ordered the bacon mushroom bistro steak. I wish there was more of the creamy mushroom sauce. And I ordered my steak medium, however I think it came out too rare. and it comes with A LOT of potatoes. lol. I wasn’t too fond of my entrée, however I really liked my drink so I’d probably come back to try some more drinks. And the customer service was really good.

We stopped for a late lunch while in the area on a recommendation from a friend who lives nearby. Nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. We started with the Feta Fries which were amazing and the calamari was also great. The pasta con spago alla norma was the best pasta dish I have had in some time. Very fresh with tomatoes, eggplant, olives, garlic. Also the barcelona butterleaf salad was a hit as was everything else our group had. Even though the portions were large we all ended up licking our plates clean it was so good.

I absolutely love Fez! The Fez burger is the best thing ever! We get this almost all the time and never get tired of it. Love their Rosemary fries. Nicely seasoned. Also love their sweet potato fries. So delicious and sweet. Second best thing is their Blueberry Strawberry Cashew Salad. The dressing is not heavy. It’s perfect. Perfect combination of fruit and cheese. All their appetizers are good. All their margaritas are amazing! The watermelon one is nice and sweet. Comes with gummy worms. The service is always great. Love the ambience and lighting. Great place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A must go to when you’re in town.

My friend and I met up at Fez for a causal lunch. I had been to their old location a few years ago & had really enjoyed it mostly because of the atmosphere. It was really relaxed and the food was good too. This visit, much like my previous visit, was pleasant. For our meals, I got the Fez burger(with chicken instead of beef) & a side of fries and my friend got the Fez salad. The sandwich was a bit hard to eat because they’re very generous with the sauce, and that paired with the pear & feta cheese is a bit sloppy but absolutely delicious. My friend said her salad was good too! I’d definitely recommend trying the g-spot to drink. I’m not much of a grapefruit fan but per recommendation of our waitress I got it. It was super refreshing & delicious, especially for the summer time. I will say that the service was absolutely terribly slow even though it wasn’t busy at all! It took a while for our server to come by and get our drink/food order & then it really took way too long to get our checks. Since we had the afternoon to kill, we were ok spending a little bit more time there than anticipated, however. I liked that there was a large parking structure right by the restaurant so having to look for parking wasn’t an issue. I’d definitely recommend this place if you have time to spare. We’ll be back in the future.

Feztastic! Sunday drink specials-how can you go wrong with the G Spot and Peach Bellini to start your day. Breakfast of Champions! While most diners were enjoying breakfast-all looking delish– my hubby and I dove into a decadent lunch. Best Sweet Potato Fries on this planet! This is the only place I have ever gotten a CRISPY SPF-they are usually limp at other places. I opted for my fave sammie ever-the Rosemary Chix(screaming with flavor) and my hubby chose the Balsamic Bleu Burger! All the accoutrements make the sandwiches divine-like no other in town. The Ciabatta is always soft and chewy. Our service was fab-and the energy in the restaurant upbeat. Tables full of laughing, happy diners filled Fez.

Amazing Salad and soup. I really like this place it basically a trendy food kinda of place. I would come back here again, I guess this place is unofficially a «gay» place? I don’t know, I didn’t see anything strange, but I guess that is someone to know in case you take family there or something. Overall good service and food.

Went here on Saturday night and the food and service were both excellent. My only issue was that my friend and I both ordered absolut martinis and we discussed later that we were fairly certain the vodka they gave us wasn’t absolut. It was very harsh. Could have been an honest mistake and we didn’t really think about it until later so we couldn’t address it. Other than that I enjoyed everything and so did the two others I was with. My friend had a side of spicy fries with his burger. I tasted them and WOW. Best fries I’ve ever had. They were not greasy and had the perfect kick to them. I ordered a pesto Caesar salad which was very fresh and there was not even one piece of wilted lettuce(I’m a snob about fresh lettuce in a salad which is why I tend to avoid them but I took a chance here and it paid off). We enjoyed it so much we came back later to have another drink at the bar. I think the bartenders name was Lindsey and she was fabulous. Very friendly and made a delicious lemon martini. I will come back next time I’m in Phoenix for sure!

We had a great time here on Friday night. The ambiance was very nice. The service was good. My girl picked out this place and she seems to do a better job than I of picking fun places. I ordered the pasta con spago alla norma with shrimp. It was very tasty and delicious. Way better than the Italian speciality restaurant we tried last week. :) My girl ordered the bacon mushroom bistro steak(medium) with the mushroom sauce on the side. It turns out the steak was very tasty without the mushroom sauce. We shared everything. As for drinks I ordered the strawberry margarita. The drink had decent strength but had no flavor to it. It tasted like liquor mixed with sugared water. I can overlook that. We both enjoyed our dinners very much and had a great time. Can’t wait to try it again.

I ate at Fez for the second time last night. Almost everything about both visits were perfect. The ambience is adorable chic. There is a dramatic central bar, with the iconic Fez chandelier. There is patio and dining room seating, and they even have a little side sofa area to hangout.(see pics) The drinks were creative and delicious. I tried the watermelon press.(see pics) The food was outstanding. The menu includes: Soups: Cumin Cinnamon Carrot Tomato Lentil Appetizers: Fez Fries Chicken Strips à la Fez Fez Baja Tacos Gyro Bowl Fez Nachos Fez Lettuce Wraps Kisra & Hummus(which I had — see pics) Nazari Calamari(which I had — see pics) Lamb Sliders Chicken Phyllo Salerno Bruschetta Plate Salads Burgers Sandwiches Entrées: Turkish Mezze Plate Mediterranean Tilapia Bacon Mushroom Bistro Steak London Bistro Steak Arroz Con Pollo Fez Golden Curry(which I had — see pics) Go Green Pasta Pasta Con Spago Alla Norma Daily Desserts Creative Signature Martinis & Cocktails Wine List: Modest But Original(glass/bottle) Unfortunately, the coffee was served with spoiled creamer, but it was quickly fixed, so no big deal. My only complaint is that the parking is confusing and limited. Hours: Mon — Thur 11am — 12am Fri/Sat 11am — 1am For more information: All in all, I 5⁄5 highly recommend Fez.

This was my first time here and I my food was for take out but here we go. The ambiance was cool, trendy, definitely has the potential to become very loud. I was there when they opened so it was pretty empty. I ordered a burger and fries along with a salad. I never ended up eating the salad as I forgot it in the car and in AZ that is a ticket to nastyville real quick. The fries were great, crunchy, thin, but a little salty and the burger was fresh, the meat was nice but it would have been nice if there was a little more seasoning. Bun was fresh and soft(like I like em) and the veggies were crisp, thanks FEZ. I will definitely go and dine in here next time.

I’ve been a great fan of Fez since they were still at their old location further up on Central. Now that they’ve moved closer to downtown, I am still a fan. I am seriously in love with their calamari with aioli appetizer. I have tried calamari at MANY other locations to great disappointment because they could not match the crunchiness of Fez’s calamari, nor could others compare to the aioli, which is zesty, well-balanced, with a great medium body that is not runny, thin, or overly sweet or salty like other places. I am usually a fan of their Fez burger, but today I chose the strawberry-blueberry-cashew salad. I loved it! The berries were firm, the perfect amount of ripeness, with a light sweetness to balance the nutty crunch of the cashews — naturally a slightly sweet addition. The colors of the berries popped against the dark field greens, and just barely glistened with the perfect amount of vinaigrette. As for drinks, I prefer the fruit margaritas. However, I miss some drink combinations that used to be on the old menu. Really, you cannot go wrong with anything you order from the bar.

What can I say? Hmmm… FEZ is a happy place, they have a hipster vibe, it almost seems like the happening place to be in this part of town. My visit to the establishment was run of the mill: I stayed close by, it was a short walk. The customer service was slow and it was due in large to the sheer volume of people at this place(it was close to Fire Marshall shut down full). When I recognize this situation I typically order drinks and the meal together to help all out. I ordered the FEZ burger, spicy fries and a margarita. The burger was said to be and I quote«wildly popular» my taste buds relayed to my brain and mouth average at best. The spicy fries were good but they really are ensuring my waistline does not grow as the portion size was small. The margarita was needle point sharp good! Wow that damn thing was amazing! I sat outside because the weather was perfect: I like to people watch and it was noisy inside plus I had my latest book with me. With the large volume of people the slow service and small portion sizes I have to rate this place three stars. I have nothing against the LGBT community as my motto for the most part is live and let live: except when I see crimes against women and children and other violence. FEZ is supported well by the gay community, there were tons of couples on dates and quite a few of the waiters and waitresses appeared to be apart of the community, so if you’re not at a place of accepting others different than you I would not partake of this place. I mean no harm or ill will. Take it easy breezy!

Sometimes a place earns a 5 just because of the food, or even just the food you ordered that time. This was that. I stopped into this sheik, modern, diner style restaurant and bar, and was pleasantly amazed by what I ate. I had the FEZ lettuce wraps appetizer which were chicken with dried pears, dates, dried cherries & almonds with romaine lettuce shells. So good! Then for the meal I had the FEZ Lemon & Pomegranate grilled plate with blackened salmon… wow! It had grilled veggies and pistachio rice. Every bite of this meal was heaven. Excellent! I love the new location. I had dinner on the patio last weekend and it could not be more pleasant. I like it so much better than the old location on Central. The menu is good. I had a gyro kisra and it was great. I don’t eat a lot so I took half of it home and it was great the next day, too. The service was good, too. Our waiter was a very friendly young man who took great care of us. I will go here more often because of the new location.
