Lovely, unique donuts!!! A great treat! My one complaint… it’s too far from Syracuse. The owner(I think) makes deliveries in Fridays(which is pretty amazing), but if there were a location closer to Syracuse, I would be there regularly. And I know I’m not alone.

If there is a homemade donut shop to be found — I will find it. Even if its in Pheonix NY. — — — – Just a five minute drive from the intersection of Rt. 57 and Rt. 31 is a cute little shop serving up freshly fried donuts. Located in a really nondescript plaza — if you’re not looking for Just Donuts you’ll probably drive right past it. And you do not want to drive past it… The donuts are quite tasty — flavorful and fried to a beauuutful golden brown. On any given day they’ve got about 5 donut flavors to chose from(plain, cider, chocolate + a couple special and/or seasonal flavors) plus about 10 glazes/frostings(vanilla, peanut butter, caramel, etc) and at least 10 toppings(peanut butter cups, fruity pebbled, bacon…). Each donut starts at $ 1 and includes a glaze/frosting. Additional toppings are 50cents. Our half dozen cost us about $ 8, which is not bad at all for a few custom donuts. The gals behind the counter were as sweet as could be… when I ordered up a plain/maple/bacon donut they gave a smile and promised to cover that donut in bacon«we like to make them how we’d eat them… with a lot of bacon!» And that donut ended up being my favorite. The chocolate and pumpkin varieties were really good too. And did I mention the basket of free samples on the counter? Not just little scraps or donut holes — like full sized donuts. The line was surprisingly long(for Pheonix NY) when we arrived on a random Thursday morning around 10am — so I ended up having 2 full-sized samples while we waited. :sigh: I love donuts. And I really liked these ones. Next time you’re in the Clay/Liverpool/Baldwinsville area(or really anywhere in Upstate NY) head a little father north and pick up a few donuts. PS. they sell coffee too!

This is such an amazing idea. You go in and choose the type of donut(they are both cake donuts, but one is plain and one is chocolate), the glaze, and the topping. Each day’s choices will be a little different, but you can’t go wrong. And to make it better, they label the lid with each combo so you know which one you are eating!!! NOTE: On Sunday’s the offer chicken wing donuts. I realize that sounds like the strangest thing you’ve ever heard, but they are actually pretty amazing. Even my 1 year old son likes them!

This place is fantastic. I love the concept of this place, where you pick a donut and they craft it to your liking. I tried an Oreo donut, and it might have been the best donut I have ever consumed. The chocolate donut base was fantastic, sweet, and had a perfect consistency. The Oreos added a nice touch, and added to the experience. Their peanut butter donut was also interesting and very good. Apparently, they have a chicken flavored donut, but I’m not too positive.

My review is based solely on taste, as I have never actually been in the shop. My parents, as well as my sister and brother in law, live about 15 minutes from here. After raving about it to me numerous times, I insisted that they pick some up the last time I was in town. Now I get it. We cut the donuts into quarters so we could try a little bit of everything, and each donut was better than the rest. Seriously. I can’t even pick a favorite. If I HAD to, I’d say either the apple pie or the banana bread ones were at the top of my list. While I haven’t gotten to experience their customer service, I swear they could probably punch me in the face and make me wait two hours… and I’d STILLGOBACK. Really. That good. Trust me.
