I frequent this establishment a few times per month and I have never been disappointed. Not only is it a terrific bar with a fabulous staff, but they have some of the best food around. I have been long awaiting for Los Diablos to start serving brunch, which they did this weekend. They did not dissapoint, but rather blew my socks off with how well they pulled it off. It was not just good, but was absolutely awesome and the prices were outstanding. I literally was planning to spend upwards of $ 20 per plate and was amazed to see plates on the menu around $ 10. And delicious it was. The place literally is a 1st class establisment, bar none.

What an amazing change. I have held off writing a review for a few months to ensure consistent service and quality. Well it is a 5 star for sure. The bars that resided at this location were… less than mediocre to say the least. The new ownership, management and staff are what makes this an upscale, industrial vibe, local artist venue, amazingly awesome décor a MUSTGOTO destination. The servers are very attentive, and ensure you are well taken care of. You are served fine dinning style food to one side and drinks to the other, never reaching over. The food is awesome, and it is prepared by a Chef not a cook, and he has daily creations for the special as well. All in all, this is a welcomed high end addition to Phoenix gay nightlife, It is NOT just another bar. Go check it out.

Ok so they redid this bar and added a full kitchen. I was surprised how well they did with the remodel. It’s classy, cool and great art work of local artists displayed. So we ordered a burger and a salad to split. Best burger EVER. NOJOKE. My new favorite hangout for sure! Love this place!!!

I knew what the establishments were like that used to occupy this building so I did not have high expectations when my friend and I headed to this place last Saturday evening. We found the parking areas to be full — a good sign — and we were lucky enough to snag a spot as one vehicle was just leaving as we arrived. Once inside, we were pleasantly surprised to find the major re-do of the interior; it was so much more sophisticated than the bars that used to be here. The place was packed and lively, but because my friend and I wanted a more quiet atmosphere we decided to go to the patio after getting some drinks from the bar. The patio itself was pleasant and clean, and a server immediately came out to ask if we wanted to order food or more drinks. After seeing the menu, we decided to go for the Diablo wings; those were good: crispy, tasty, covered with a tangy piquant sauce. Everything about the place made for a really good experience — the bartenders, our server, the atmosphere. I think we’ve found our new favorite watering hole in central Phoenix.

Came here for lunch w/some friends. They didn’t have a menu yet, so they said they allow people to bring food in, so we went to get food & bring it back. I was planning to get a drink when I got back w/food, but when I returned, they’d turned up the music nearly full-blast & a friend that’d stayed has ear trouble & complained that the music was too obnoxiously loud. Not to turn it off, but just down to a reasonable level so we could hear each other talk.(this was midday, Sat around 2−3pm, I think, not like it was 11pm on a Sat or anything!) & they gave my friend a hard time about it & barely gave us any service at all! Due to the issues, I didn’t bother getting any drinks. Others were of a similar mindset & didn’t get drinks, either, due to this bad attitude from the management. I really had hoped for a better experience, as I’m the 1 who dragged them all there to try it out, but none of us are going back…

When and if you come here you should consult with Ian, one of the servers here. He went above and beyond to make sure that my partner and I were taken care of. He was fun friendly and of course handsome! The service and ambiance here is utterly fantastic. I will be coming back again and again! If your in the area and looking for a fun, enjoyable, social-able environment then you have found the right establishment.

Matt did an amazing job on transforming this place. The first thing I said when I walked in is «it doesnt smell like Urine». This place looks on point. Has an amazing patio, a jukebox which you can control from your phone and the staff is always friendly. This is now one of my favorite gay bars to go to. I cant wait till they start serving food because I want to check it out!

It was ok but I’ll prolly never come back to this bar it was karaōke night which was lol but the place is so small tyre nothing to look at other then older men staring you down like a delicious steak while I’m trying to enjoy my time with my partner! I would totally recommend other bars before coming back to this place!

What now stands as Diablos is a complete departure from the dive bars that used to inhabit the building. Diablos can be best described as upscale and sophisticated, something truly lacking in the gay hangouts here in Phoenix(Stacy’s and Kobalt are nice bars, but don’t portray themselves at the same level as Diablos). The décor is tastefully done with an high end ambiance to it. I visited the establishment twice before writing this review and am pleased to say their was consistency in the demeanor of the staff and my interaction with them. My first visit was during their monthly artist exhibition, which I find noteworthy they are using their venue to showcase local artists. Good for them. Every employee I spoke with was nice, respectful, and grateful for coming to support both the artist and their new business. After the exhibition, one of the employees took the time to explain some of the things they are working to bringing to Diablos. Again, the interaction was friendly and engaging. My second visit was during a weekend afternoon with a friend and the place was not as crowded as the artist event. But yet again, both the bartender and wait staff greeted us. My friend had a diet coke and the wait staff was diligent in ensuring he had a full glass at the table before his other glass went empty. It’s that type of attention to detail to customer service that will set this place apart from the other venues. I can see myself going to Diablos on a regular basis to meet with friends or bring my laptop and do some work over a nice drink. It’s refreshing that such an establishment has finally come to the gay community here in Phoenix. I wish nothing but success for Los Diablos.

RUDE! DISRESPECTFUL! ARROGANT! I wish I could have better words to describe this«new» establishment. Most of the bartenders and bar backs were nice, but one in particularly semi bald and doesn’t know what a simple drink like a Bay Breeze is. Plus over priced for a bar that is competing with many Many MANY other gay and straight bars with 1000x better personal. It’s kind of sad really. But if the owner wants to higher rude bartenders far be it for me to stop her.

First impression as you walk into the place — HO-LEESH*T! Not just a typical Phoenix«rainbow» desperate-for-money, income-only, slippery-sleezy hole-in-the-wall kind of place. This place is what I would call«upstanding». I can’t believe the transformation of what used to be «the above described» kind of place, to the elegant and sophisticated, bring-your-out-of-towners-in kind of place that it is now. I love it! The owner, Matt, appears to have a vision and I like it a lot! Seriously, got friends coming in? This is a place you can be proud to bring them to. Honestly, I would say this is more of an L.A. or Palm Springs bar planted in the middle of the desert. Having said all that, here’s what you get: actual stemmed wine and martini glasses with all the appropriate elixirs to go in them. Where most rainbow bars offer wine by the color(red, pink or white), Diablos practically gives you wine choices by the year. I drink martinis and I know what I like and how I like them. Most places don’t get it when I order a Belvedere martini straight up with three blue cheese stuffed olives. Here it comes: freezer-cold stemmed glass with a napkin under the glass — A NAPKINUNDERTHEGLASS!(From Chicago here. A napkin *always* goes under the glass, but not in Phoenix. Why not?! Pet pieve of mine.) The olives: not just blue cheese smashed into the olive by monkey hands, but the best BC olives I’ve ever had, purchased from Queen Creek Olive Mill(about an hour outside of Phoenix). The kind that melt in your mouth. Yea! Ok so its not about the olives, the cold stemmed glass, the broad selection of wine, booze and beer — its really about attention to detail. Detail! That’s what I really appreciate. Like this is the way a customer is supposed to be treated and that’s what comes across. Sure the prices are a little higher — you’re paying to be treated well. What would you expect? Did I mention that the servers — yes there are servers! — actually walking around to take your order? You won’t see this at Charlies or Stacy’s or any other rainbow establishment in this town. Love that too. From the for-sale art on the wall, to the orange-scented restrooms, to the verde green paint on the patio walls to match the outlying landscape, this place just rocks. Honestly, I’m so glad and so grateful that finally somebody has stepped up to the plate to offer a different perspective on the already weather-beaten and shadowy gay community that somehow manages to live in the furnace that is Phoenix. This is truly a step in the right direction. I only hope that other like establishments pop up to compete with Diablos, if for no other reason than to be better than Diablos. That way we all win. At the moment however, there is nothing else that even comes close to Los Diablos. The place stands like an oasis. Thank you Matt, for doing this. Love the intention.

Chic design, friendly staff, and high-quality drinks. Definitely raises the standards for what a bar should look and feel like. I’m looking forward to their grand opening and tasting some of their inevitably trendy cuisine. If you haven’t stopped in for a drink yet, you’re missing out.
