Pier 1 Imports

Came in looking for a house warming gift. I was greeted by two different people one of which gave me a coupon for the day! In the end, I finally picked something! I was a few dollars short to make the coupon work but the sales women was eager to help me make the coupon work! They were kind enough to help me wrap up my house warming and make the coupon work.

I come to Pier 1 often when looking for accessories to change up or add to my home décor. As soon as I walk through the door I am greeted rather quickly in person (rather than a «hello» from behind the counter) and offered help to find a specific item. I usually spend about 45 minutes just browsing all the stuff that is jammed packed into this store. Seriously, depending on how large your handbag is, navigating the aisles can be tricky and at times you’ll have to do the dip and scoot to get by an item.
Anyway, you can find just about everything from dinnerware, to candles, to curtains, to accessory furniture pieces, and even kitchen utensils. I was able to update my patio furniture using bright, fun, and durable pillows and an awesome papasan chair that has lasted two summers and many dust storms (seriously, who was the one that started the «haboob» craze, lame!). The pillows are still just as bright and super easy to rinse off with a hose after the dust settles. The only downside to Pier 1 is their prices. I do believe some of their items are way overpriced, but every now and again you can find great deals and thus why I keep coming back.
