Pure Barre Phoenix

Just started back after a long break due to some health issues and I’m so happy I did! Convenient class times, great instructors, and a workout that will give you results! Invest in yourself and try it out… you won’t be sorry! :-)

I love this place! I had never taken a pure barre class before (or even heard of it) and I can now say I’m addicted! The classes are just the right amount of intensity so you get an amazing and challenging workout but not too much where you don’t want to return. They go through full body and I personally sweat my booty off from start to finish. All of the instructors are so incredibly nice and they help guide you with your form during the various workouts. You never feel awkward or that you’re doing something wrong. This really is a great studio and I’m so glad I discovered it!

Wonderful facility and instructors. I always get a great workout and feel amazing. This workout provides strength training, long lean muscles and wonderful posture. It has been a pleasure to work out here.

Pure barre is a consistently challenging workout that keeps your body guessing so you never plateau. And it’s changed my body– Really leaned out my legs for the first time in my life! People think barre class is going to be slow but this class is fast paced and I always sweat a lot. I’ve been going to pure barre for 5 years for that reason (it still kicks my butt) and because of the positive and welcoming environment that the Weyands foster in all four of their studios. And all fitness levels are welcome and you can get thru a class at any level.

I’ve been lifting, toning and burning at Pure Barre Phoenix for almost three months. My initial experience/​impression was, this is so challenging? Why can’t I figure out which muscle I’m supposed to be working? Why can’t I look like that slim leggy gal (15 years my junior) in my activewear? (Not going to happen. I’m petite. I’ve got a mom body.) I asked questions. If I’m doing something wrong, the instructors adjust my form. The instructors are so nice, so encouraging, so fit, and flexible. I’m in awe. I’m super motivated to stretch a little longer, drop a little deeper. The atmosphere of the workout studio is very franchise/​corporate. (I don’t mind the beige paint, black & white photos, but sometimes I need something else to look at while I’m internally cursing the quick tempo.) I attend about 4 classes a week and appreciate that while the first 5 – 10 minutes are the same, the instructors really mix up the workout. I am stronger. I am more flexible. I’ve got noticeable definition in my arms, abs, and legs. If you can take a «breaking down the barre» class, do it. I had a couple breakthroughs at the class I took last weekend.

Have been going for nearly 3 years, and don’t see myself quitting anytime soon! Instructors are kind and always very helpful. Studio is clean and always maintained or updated.

I LOVE pure barre! I recently moved from Tucson to Phoenix and was SO sad to have left my yoga studio. A friend recommended that I try pure barre as a substitute and I’m so glad I listened – the workouts are EXTREMELY challenging (for someone who had worked out 4 – 5 times a week, I was shocked at just how challenging these classes were). However, the classes really do live up to the hype – I feel so much stronger after just 3 weeks of pure barre.
Additionally, the studio environment is very welcoming, and the teachers are eager to help new students (& more veteran students, I’m sure) – Crystal, Megan, and Veronica in particular are amazing teachers and have been such a huge help!

Well, I just finished a month of the «new student special,» and Pure Barre is as good as they say! I do running and yoga frequently, so I was sure this workout would fairly easy. WRONG! I was challenged every moment. To be honest, I had no idea what was happening for the first 7 – 10 classes, but the instructors are all so encouraging! Crystal and Veronica were particularly helpful.
My best advice is to just keep going, and you will get the hang of it!

So glad I found Pure Barre Phoenix! I’ve never been much of a joiner and could never find a workout that I wanted to stick with until I tried Pure Barre. The teachers are friendly and attentive, the studio is inviting, and the choreography changes just when you think you’ve got it down to keep you on your toes. Even after 4 years of regular classes, I still find myself being challenged day after day. Not only is my body more toned, I feel more confident and strong. It’s truly an amazing workout for all ages and skill levels. Highly recommended!

Pure Barre in Phoenix is my morning must! You get a total body workout through isometric movements performed with and without the barre. In one hour they work your core, legs, and arms to ‘lift, tone, and burn’ and I have found leaner, more toned muscles as a result. The 6 am instructors are fanatasic and incredibly friendly. They keep me coming back everyday, and I have made friends with several other clients in the class. I would absolutely recommend the Phoenix Pure Barre studio.

Give it your BEST LAST 10 and you will truly know what strength you have — both mental and physical. I HATE instructor led classes, but this is the FIRST fitness class that I actually want to attend, enjoy attending, and don’t hate myself or the instructor afterwards. I know it’s expensive, but it’s worth it the way you feel after class. Great atmosphere with instructors that can cater to the individual — I know, since I have a lot of health issues!

There are 2 main reasons pure barre is awesome and will change your life:
1. The workout itself! I used to be that girl that could never do a single pushup and was 100% convinced it was because my arms was just built weak (LOL). I now have arm muscles I never even knew existed let alone on me! 3 of my friends started doing barre after they have seen my transformation. Everyone notices! I’ve managed to lose those extra 5−10lbs i never could with other work outs, I’m at my high school weight now, went down from a medium to a small in pretty much everything, dropped 2 dress sizes, and a pant size, not to mention I am more toned than I have ever even dreamed of being (all in less than 3 months). And I can even have a cookie or 2 every now and then and not feel bad. This is a workout you can really stick with because you see results almost instantaneously. But you will also work hard for those thighs! Barre has also helped me get better at hiking even, as my legs are stronger than ever.
2. The girls that work there! Every single one of them is beyond amazing! They really help you find your best form, motivate you and make you feel welcome and at home. The teachers make the classes fun and enjoyable. Everyone is super friendly. You will not regret trying pure barre!

I have been coming to Pure Barre for over a year! I signed up with out knowing what to expect. My first class was unlike anything i have ever experienced. I was instantly hooked! It was very challenging but not so much that it was intimidating. The welcoming staff really made all the difference. They know every client by name and really take the time to be personal with everyone.
I participated in the Bridal Package! Pure Barre really kept me in shape during stressful wedding planning and I never have felt, looked better! My dress fit like a glove and I felt very confident in my backless dress.
This class keeps me coming back, I am so excited to finally have a fitness routine of my own! thanks Pure Barre Phoenix!

Pure Barre Phoenix has changed my life!!! It may be tough (it really doesn’t get any easier) but it works. And to top it off the instructors and owners are so nice and helpful! I love going every morning, even on the days I don’t want to go.
I recommend Pure Barre to everyone looking for a new workout.

Had a good experience at the private barre class that my friends and I went to. Sara was our instructor and she did a fabulous job! I would definitely recommend the place to people who live close by! Just be ready for a tough leg workout!!!

I LOVE this studio. I was pretty intimidated and skeptical before I went to my first class due to some experiences in yoga where i felt like I was way too inexperienced to be there. However, I could not have been more wrong! The instructors make sure they pay attention to you (whether or not you are new) and will help you with modifications and useful corrections. There’s nothing worse than going to a workout class where you keep doing the wrong thing over and over and over again. This definitely doesn’t happen here. They won’t let you cheat yourself on anything, but if you aren’t super advanced you won’t feel bad or embarrassed at all. The classes are fun, the music is loud, and the instructors are awesome. It never feels like an hour.
All the staff are great too, everyone knows your name and if they don’t they make sure to ask. Can’t say enough great things or stop recommending it to friends! The owners Veronica and Marirose are really genuine and their classes are super tough. Can’t rave enough about all the instructors!

I just completed my first month at PB Phoenix and I am AMAZED at the changes in my body both physically and mentally. I have always hated working out and I actually look forward to going to pure barre. I attend the early morning classes and wake up even earlier than I have to because I am so excited to go to pure barre. The girls there are SO nice and the studio is clean, chic and very welcoming. As a full time grad student and young professional it is hard to catch a break, but at pure barre I have found my personal time. Pure barre provides the mental benefits of yoga that I personally did not get from yoga. During pure barre I do not have time to think of the stress of the day– I am able to let go of my worries. I LOVE IT! It makes me so happy!
Yes– it is expensive, but you cannot put a price on the results you get from pure barre. The instructors take time to make sure that you are using correct form and maximizing your time in the class. It is almost like having a personal trainer (which would essentially be a lot more expensive). The girls are not intimidating, they are patient and SO helpful. I researched pure barre for a long time before I decided to spend the money and do it and my only regret is not starting sooner. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking to change their body and mind to try pure barre!

I have been working out at Pure Barre for the past 3 weeks and can honestly say that I absolutely love it. I am not a runner… or much of a gym go-​er for that matter. I have had a gym membership for just over a year and am lucky if I go 3 – 4 times a month. Pure Barre, on the other hand, I am constantly finding time in my very busy schedule to squeeze in a class as often as I can. I’m addicted and I love it. Although I have a lot of room for improvement, I can see definition in my legs, abs, buns and arms that I haven’t noticed in years. I look forward to my classes and have really loved every instructor I have had. The energy and environment is awesome and I would strongly recommend that you give the class a try.
First timers: wear crops or pants (no shorts) and grippy socks if you have them. Don’t be ashamed to tell them that you’re new and they will make you feel very welcome. They will help your form and encourage you when you’re doing awesome. My first day I felt like I would never be able to complete a set and 3 weeks later I am already so much better. Give it a shot and good luck!

I have been a Bar Method regular for almost 3 years, and due to my travel, I have taken many other types of barre type classes (Dailey Method, Physique 57, Barre3). They all have their own crazy motions, but there are a lot of similarities.
I came here as we were in Phoenix for the weekend for my birthday. It was great that I could just pop in for a class.
The staff was very welcoming, gave me a quick tour, and I was ready to go. I felt very comfortable here.
I loved it. The class moved quickly, the moves were challenging, and I was sweating like crazy.
My only small complaint was the music was loud, and I had a hard time hearing the instructor. Since I am a regular barre attendee, I know some of the motions. But sometimes, I was like «say that again??».
