ROI Improvements

Met these guys at home show. I need a new roof. They say give us a chance to get your business. Set time and they no show no call me. I call them back and they say so sorry and want to make it up. Make another appointment with them. 1 hour before appointment they call me and ask me what they are coming out for to give estimate on. I tell them to go away. If your communication within the company is this bad I can just imagine how bad the work is.

The quick n dirty review: I wish I never hired these clowns.
The long & detailed review:
Sometime in September or October 2013, a couple young lads came to my door. Probably around 18 years old. They said they were doing work in my neighborhood and asked me if I wanted any work done on my home. I let the two kids into my house and showed them two awnings that I wanted to be dismantled.
A few days later, a pair of managers, Dan Zrihen and Ty Lemons, gave a presentation in my house about their services and quoted me a price of a little under $ 17K to demolish two awnings and install a new Alumawood patio cover in my backyard.
Dan then asked me if there were any reservations on my part about hiring them. I wish I had said I needed to get two more estimates before signing a contract. But I wound up signing a contract and getting financing on the spot.
I researched the company online, checked their license and got three references. I was unable to find any bad information about the company. ROI was less than a year old at the time.

In November to December 2013, ROI started working on the three projects. They did a good job with the demolition work but the patio cover installation was sloppy because a few months later it started leaking when it rained in early 2014.
I called the company to come by and take a look at the patio cover. They did stop by and sealed where it was leaking. But that didn’t help because the leaking still happened in the summer of 2014.
I then called Sun City Awning to do a patio cover inspection. They found 11 defects and quoted me a price to rebuild the patio cover. Also, ROI was supposed to obtain building permits for the patio cover installation, but they never did.
I then filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Arizona Registrar of Contractors in early 2015. ROI offered to obtain building permits and rebuild the patio cover. They took the patio cover apart and told me they would be back «in a couple days» to rebuild it and get the permits. That never happened.
For 4 months my patio cover was in pieces in my backyard. They eventually paid me $ 1700 so that I could hire Sun City Awning to rebuild the cover. Even though the Registrar ordered ROI to get the permits and rebuild the patio cover themselves.

Eventually my patio cover was rebuilt by Sun City Awning in July ’15 and the State issued a citation to ROI for violating a directive and failing to remedy the shoddy workmanship. ROI even asked the AZROC to dismiss the case because they paid me what I had originally asked for.
The AZROC suspended ROIs license for 3 days last December and now I recently found out that their license has been revoked. Good!
After two years, this ordeal is almost over. They still owe me a couple hundred dollars. I’m trying to collect that from their license bond.
Dan Zrihen, you and your arrogant cohorts (Dan Mullins, Nathan Dart, et al.) need to stay out of the contracting business.

Shady, they are canvassing Glendale, looking to do roof repairs, their contractors license is Revoked! Beware…

After a slow start, this company came through and did a beautiful job on our kitchen remodel. The subcontractors they used were top notch. Since we didn’t have a deadline, we didn’t mind the delays, which were minimal. We will enjoy our kitchen for many years.

I was actually referred to the company from an employee and all day long it’s a better option than Home Depot or most improvement companies. They do canvass but that’s just an effective means of advertising. May not be a low ball operation with low quality in mind but all in all great company!

roi did work on our pool deck late year. we noticed it was breaking up in a end spot and turning white in another spot. i called and left a message. i had to call back after a week. left a message. they called me back in a few minutes and within two weeks they came out and fixed the problem. i only gave a 3 star. i want to make sure that there is no more problems. if not i will rerate.

They came to my door, canvassing like the others here have noted. Setup an appointment. Unfortunately I was out of town on business when they arrived for the appointment. The sales guy was disrespectful to my wife and pressured her to sign papers to start work immediately, which we promptly declined. I am sure he would not have tried to pull that crap if I was there. Their pricing was ridiculous. Stay away from Charles, he’s a snake oil salesman. When I attempted to contact them to complain using the numbers on their card and estimate sheet, all I was able to get were voicemails with no indication of what company they are for, eventually got a hold of Nathan Dart who is supposedly a manager, who then referred me to «dan» who is the supposed owner. When I attempted to call «dan» it was a cell phone number with a Vallejo California area code (707). Again, unannounced voicemail so, who knows if Dan even exists. Everything points to shady business practices, and with the other reviews on here and plenty of competition, STAY AWAY!!!

The company seems disorganized and their communication was awful. The quality of their work was poor.

BEWARE! I wish I did my homework before this company came over to run there scam on me. Please do not use this company, based only on prices. They charge triple of other companies. Please compare prices. Do not be a sucker for there sales pitch, or the door to door kid that comes knocking on your door that says no soliciting, saying that they are «doing work» in your neighborhood already. YIKES! Get it together ROI, not cool.

This company seems super shady. Some guy came by canvasing the neighborhood. I wanted a quote on some work, so I set up an appointment. They called to confirm the day before. But the day of the appointment, the guy showed up an hour early. My tenant was home and told the guy I wasn’t there.
When I tried to call to tell them later to let them know I was home for my quote I couldn’t reach anyone. The number on the card they gave me didn’t work, nor did the two numbers I tried online. One of them was a Google Voice number answered by an employee. He said he would look into it, but I never heard back from anyone.
Sufice to say– they won’t be getting my business. Seriously sketchy.
