The Edge Apartments

I’m moving in to this place in 2 days. I put my apartment deposit down nearly 3 months ago even though the last tenant didn’t move out until last month.
First let me start by saying, the management here has been phenomenal. My bf and I have popped our heads in probably 12 times since we put our deposit down. A couple times we just wanted to see the model and take measurements. They’ve never given us any trouble and they’ve always been very accommodating and helpful with any questions and CONCERNS we’ve had.
Our apartment is currently being remodeled (as the last tenant had one of the apartments that hadn’t been redone yet) and we were told by Demetrius that it would be done about a week prior to moving in (because it is only supposed to take 20 business days after the last tenant vacated) but now they tell us it won’t be done until the very last minute… Luckily, they are very understanding that of course, we’re worried about things not being done by our move in date and being locked into the lease that we’ve already signed so, they’ve shredded our lease so that we can decide the day of whether or not we want to go through with this apartment or not. It really put me at ease when they did this for us but I’m still nervous about things not being done one time.
Other than that,
–The pools are clear and beautiful! I can’t wait to swim in them this weekend!!!
–everyone I’ve met in the parking lot or around the campus have been very friendly!
–the cars in the parking lot say a lot… And what they are saying is that this apartment is safe. I haven’t seen a single car drive by that makes me nervous about the type of people that might live here.
All that being said, I hope I can edit this review in a couple days and let y’all know how my apartment is looking: D

This place is EXPENSIVE for the quality you get. Management doesn’t give two shots about you. This is the most poorly managed anything I’ve ever dealt with. They manage the property as is you are 5 years old. If you go in with a complaint, they blaim it on you. They are redoing the parking right now, not only is there never enough parking to begin with, but they have removed 20% of the parking and don’t care who parks where, I pay for my parking and someone parks in my spot ALL THE TIME but because the car is not there for 24 hours straight, they refused to do anything about it. I called the towing company and they won’t even help because of their restricted contract with this complacent. If you are reading the Unilocal review on this place it’s probably too late for you and I’m sorry.
The management has lost my insurance paperwork three times now, I was there as they received it via fax and they STILL called me saying they didn’t receive it. Idk his name, but the white guy with no glasses that isn’t in the back office is a horrible representative and would rather argue with you WHILE TRYING TO GET SOMEONE TO SIGN UP FOR THIS PLACE, rather than let you sit quietly until the new person signing up is gone. Yes, he wanted to argue with me in front of a potential customer. That is the type of management this place has.

cheap yes but you get what you pay for. horrible management. save your self the trouble do not live here.

BE AFRAID OF MAKING AN UNWISE DECISION
This complex is a giant head ache. Not worth the cheap price. If you decide to live here expect the following:
Two faced management and employees.
Lousy attitudes and service
Constant Dirty pools
Closed pools
Forced closed pools
Scary Hot tubs… have not put a toe in one ever!
Drug activity and Swat, attacks
Dented scratched or theft of vehicle. pick at least 2
HORRIBLE Maintenance
No timely response to any maintenance issues
Do not let the pictures fool you (they painted, cleaned that day, and i have never even seen grass like that)

Hey Barron (Property Manager), when are you going to learn that customer service, maintenance and community communication are key. Probably just change the name and paint over the holes.
