The service was wonderful, and right as I sat down I was asked if I would like anything to drink. It’s impressive to be in top of your game when a customer walks into a restaurant! I had the Eggs Benedict with crispy bacon and pancakes. All of it was so delicious!

I came here for a Sunday brunch. We were seated right away on the patio, which was great for the weather. I had a summertime special benedict which was really good. My friend ordered eggs with buscuits and gravy, and she said it was pretty greasy. My only complaint was I felt the tables could have been a little cleaner and stocked better. I had to ask a few times for silverware, coffee creamers, and sugar. Overall this was a great breakfast place and I will be back!

I came here after the recommendation of a Coworker. The service was prompt and the food was good. I had the heuvos rancheros others in my party had French toast, and shorter had biscuits and gravy. All said the food was good.

One star for the young man(Not my server, she was a nowhere to be found) who seated me and brought my smelly cold plate out of the kitchen after a long wait. 1 star for the other server who felt sorry for me and cancelled my check. ZERO for the looser of a server assigned to my table! Usually this place is OK. Bad day today.

Came here for a late birthday brunch/girls day. I picked the place for everyone and hoped for the best. It wasn’t the worst I have ever had but I def. won’t be back. I have taken the patient path in life this year so I am able to give 2⁄5 stars others in the party would give 0⁄5 I am sure … Let me explain We were seated about 15mins after our estimated wait time(not a big deal but we did have plans after) our«table» for 7 was complied of two different size tables not a huge deal but one table was so small our party had to cram around it sitting on the corners to have enough room one table had glasses preset the other didn’t after examining the cups we realized the table wasn’t preset it wasnt fully bussed before we were seated. Now onto the service… Our waitress comes over takes our drink orders coffee waters ice teas, brings waters in pitchers no cups then brings cups no ice then brings cups with ice takes away old cups all while we are all holding parts of this fiasco because our tiny table doesn’t allow for more then 1 glass per person without total chaos. We all look over the menu for a few and our waitress returns(after sometime) to take our order. That went slowly but smooth enough. Now onto the food. ½ our order comes out it take another 5⁄10 minutes for the rest of our food to come out all delivered by people other then our waitress and it was like we were at an auction everyone just calling out what they had In their hands and us passing each other’s food all around. We had to ask twice for the side of hash browns we ordered and enough utensils for everyone at the table. My aunt ordered the biscuits and gravy she didn’t like the taste and let our server know the gravy tasted«off» our waitress said it was turkey gravy(my aunt eats no poultry) she was instantly upset and said now you tell me I can’t eat this. There was No apology no acknowledgement of what just happened here by our waitress she simply said«it’s on the menu»(and just so you know I looked at the menu and it says sausage gravy.) She did remove that item from the ticket but the lack of empathy or responsibility taken by our server or a manager was disappointing, thank god there was no food allergy that could’ve turned tragic from their oversight. Again we won’t be back but no one died so 2⁄5 it is

I absolutely love this place. I was afraid they wouldn’t take us as it was within 15 minutes of their posted closing time, but when we arrived they kindly greeted us like old friends and took us to our table with no rush or threatening that they were closing soon. They have a large selection of breakfast items and I love their selected specials that alternate. Also the coffee is adequately supplied throughout your whole meal so you never actually reach the bottom of your cup. Great deal for the money and the amount of food provided. This last time around I ordered their pancake special with a side of eggs and bacon. Everything was delish! I will always return on my visits to AZ.

One word: Roaches. I almost barfed up my skillet when I saw a roach skitter along the wall. Disgusting and shameful.

Ate there today with my brother, his daughter, my neice, her son and boyfriend. It took 30 minutes to get seated. True it was busy for the time. It was around 11:15 on a Sunday morning. Should have known something was wrong when we got to our table for 6 and there was only $ 3 on the table for the tip. We started with 4 coffees and a really small pot to be split amonst us. It was never refilled. What was worse was the water. I half filled up 4 of our glasses of water and we were out. We had to ask for more. Really? She did bring back another one but I guess the limet for 6 people is 2. 16Oz containers. We waited 10 or 15 mins. Thats OK. But she brought out 3 plates and then waited on another group of 6 before bring us the other 3. Of cource the 3 that got there food first waited for us to get ours. I knew theres would be . could when we got ours but Suprise Mine was very cold also. Dirty tables ano lousey service means my brouther and our out of town guests will never go back there

Try the Hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Benedict if you want to get sick. Works great for the purging of one’s gullet… make that the purging of two gullets. [I was contacted by an employee of the Good Egg regarding the aforementioned post(humm, remember that) to which he talked of food poisoning. I don’t see I said that in my post. To clarify: my wife and I were both nauseated, felt sick to our stomachs, felt ill, yada yada. It doesn’t take hours or days to feel ill from eating something, does it? My second sentence was a ‘sick’ stab at humor. Signed, Dr. Michael J]

If I could give this experience no stars I would. Used to be an excellent and #1 place to have a wonderful brunch and have our out of town guests sit on the patio and enjoy the food, service and patio! WRONG! –Poor service –Had to get up three times to rob empty table of their condiments(had to get to them before other tables robbed the condiments) –No response to complaint, no «sorry» –NORETURN! Too many other wonderful places to go now that Phoenix has grown. Better look at management quickly… doors will shut soon if this poor service continues. I’ll let my friends know about my experience! Very sad!

So this round went much better. My friend wanted to come back, so we did. I had the eye opener combo with French toast and turkey sausage. Egg was over easy, as ordered. Whole meal was great and easy to eat. I didn’t feel overwhelmed by sweeteners this time, so that was awesome. Waitress was kind and sweet. My friend seemed to enjoy her meal as well. Service was much faster and the wait for a table was only about five minutes. Verdict, don’t go on the weekends and unless you have a huge sweet tooth, avoid the pancakes and go for something else.

Due to a tight schedule of planned Museum Day visits, I wanted to start out with breakfast as I miss this meal consistently. The Good Egg is a good old faithful restaurant with a tried and true breakfast formula. And their centralized location(pardon the pun since they are located on park central avenue) makes it easier for me to traverse various downtown locations from this starting point. I had the Eye Opener Combo, and the bacon was just delightful. It wasn’t overdone, and crispy — but not burnt. Everything else was good. What was quite notable was the service. Jesus was my server, and he was just cheery as could be. I also made note of the fact that the hostesses were just as friendly. And they greeted their regulars by name; which was just a delight to hear. As I was leaving, I asked the hostess why everyone was just so cheery here. And she just quickly replied that they are all early morning people that get there @ 5:30 in the morning to smile and greet people. It isn’t an act for them. It’s a way of life and they enjoy it; otherwise, they would be doing something else. That sounds like a wonderful perspective as far as I was concerned. The atmosphere was just a great way to start the day, in spite of the fact that it was going to be another 110+ degree weather day!

The Best way for me to describe my views on this restaurant for all walks of life to completely comprend would be to break it down in just one word. «Calumbria»! For breakfast I had egg white and seven veggie omelet, toast, hash brown potatoes and then with each breakfast their customers are given their very own pot of bottomless coffee or tea. My good friend ordered the Macho Nacho omelet which was to his liking because of the spicy taste to it. Both the service and the food made my trip to Phoenix complete. Thank You. I raise my cup to you, Cheers!
