Great bacon– Try the the bacon flight to sample all of their flavors! My favorites are the jalapeño, pepper, and honey cured bacon. Great coffee– fresh and smooth. Always hot. Great pancakes– the bacon pancakes have small pieces of bacon in the batter. They are topped off with more pieces of bacon and powdered sugar. Yum! Another great dish is the Huevos Rancheros. The sauce served with them is thick and flavorful.

I was staying just down the street for a work training and arrived early so I had some time to explore. The woman at the front desk of my hotel said hands down Oink was the place to go if I wanted a good local spot. She was so right! A place with 8 types of bacon on the menu had to be at least okay, right?! The service was good, everyone was very sweet and attentive. I got the pork confit omelet and it was good. The pork was super tender and really well seasoned. It’s a ton of food, omelet toast and a side of your choice. I got the ranchero sauce on the side and I’m glad I did because it was spicy so I don’t know I would have wanted it on top of all my omelet. As a sweet treat I got the maple bacon donut, woah baby! It was served nice and warm was cakey and had some nice cinnamon spicing to it, it was a little dry but I was there closer to lunch and I hadn’t had a donut in a couple years so I didn’t mind. Overall good breakfast spot!

I learned last time here that they offer gluten free bread so today assumed they could make GF French toast. But the server, Tami, informed me they were too busy, since it’s a weekend, to make me any. Disappointing. We left another restaurant with a long wait to come here. The other restaurant offers way more GF options. Anyway I ordered the two egg breakfast with hash browns and GF toast. My friend had biscuits and gravy. The order came out within minutes so it’s clear they were not made to order. Not on a busy Saturday. I will say that the eggs were good but my hash browns were cold. The server did ask is how everything tastes but it was moments after our food came and we hadn’t had time to try anything yet! I probably wouldn’t visit again.

Oink how we love you. Let us count the way… 1. Bacon. 2. More bacon. 3. A great place to dine with your furry family members. I usually meet here with friends and family twice a month.

Potential there but this place needs a tune up. Service is sub par. Slow to get meals and disinterested in giving good service. The amount of dust on the ceiling vents is a bit disgusting. Maple bacon donuts were dry. Probably not coming back.

I love coming here! The staff is always on point even when busy! I bring all my friends and family here whenever I can. It’s a great spot for a high quality meal for a great price. I love sitting on the patio with my dogs. I come every weekend and know I’m going to have a great meal… With tons of perfectly cooked BACON!

Service was fine but food is not impressive. I ordered the california omelette. A dry egg omelette with small chunks of unflavored chicken paired with cheap tasting pepper jack cheese, jalapeños and topped with two small slices of avocado. The flavors do not mingle at all and I was not impressed in any way. Props for having gluten free toast. The hash browns are like cubes of French fries. Unimaginative except for the addition of some browned onions that are too sparse to add much flavor. *** I’m sorry I had the Homefries. The Homefries were like cubes of fries. **** Service was fine. Coffee was dark at least. Wouldn’t come back based on flavor alone.

I have been wanting to come here for the longest time and this morning we had such an awesome experience here. The café is designed so cute and the staff is all smiles! We were sat right away, the waiter was very attentive and friendly. The mimosa’s were delicious and strong. :) We ordered biscuits and gravy which were phenomenal and a side of french toast to share which was also delicious. You get a big portion and the food quality was great. Thank you too Sean for stopping by our table to make us laugh and make small talk, he was so nice! I definitely recommend this breakfast spot and I will be back! You won’t leave hungry.

Great place to get a mimosa or bacon bloody merry :-) I’m a regular at this place because of good food and great breakfast… the staff is always friendly… but…unfortunately the customers are always rude. I’ve witnessed table hawks and pushiness on numerous occasion… I’ve sat at the bar and had people hover over my food and try to force feed me just to get my stool… I guess that’s because this is a popular neighborhood place.

Great food but terrible service. When we entered there were plenty of empty tables but the wait was 15 – 20 minutes and then people who came in behind us were seated before us. It was a chaotic atmosphere and it seemed the hostesses were not able to control the demands of customers who wanted to be rude and just cut in line. It’s a shame this overshadows the great food. Don’t go when it’s busy.

Always has been a great place for food. After a 10 mile run, I was famished. The Arizona Omelette(Chorizo, Cheese, Avocado; substituted Salsa for Ranchero Sauce) hit the spot! Great service, reasonable prices… I love this neighborhood spot!

Love this place! I recommend the Oink Bloody Mary if you like bacon in your Bloody Mary. However, the Oink omelette is a pork overload that any pork lover can handle. One of my favorite places to eat breakfast since moving to Phoenix, Az.

Great BLT. So-so, perfunctory service. Hadn’t been here before so when I walked in I stood at what I learned is their to-go counter for a good solid 90 seconds before anyone acknowledged me. There were six people behind the counter, & not one gave me eye contact or a simple hello. SIX. Not a good first impression. Once I was told to go ahead & take a seat a young lady dropped off a menu & silverware rollup. She said nothing, did not offer water or tell me my server would be right with me. I realize this is a very casual place but still, when guests are tipping for service it should be welcoming & attentive at the very least. Food is pretty much what I expected. BLT was great – nice & big, delicious bacon(good thing since this is what they’re supposed to be known for!). I added avocado which was fresh and tasty. Fruit salad was the generic pineapple, underripe honeydew, grape combo… but even at The Phoenician the fruit is this way! Overall, good food, but after tax I wouldn’t come & spend $ 11+ on a BLT(and that’s without the avocado). Decent atmosphere, despite the bright yellow & green walls and very harsh fluorescent lighting. Very cute patio.

I tried, oink café, I tried. I came and ate your food a number of times. I had your coffee. I had your juice. But no matter what I had it made no use. It seems your staff would be somewhere else. It seems you buy the cheese that comes pre-melt. I want to love you and to tip you well. Because you’re right there and you could be so swell. But I work hard for the little money I make. At a restaurant in fact so I know what’s at stake. It’s not with pride that I make this 2 star review. It’s in hope that the truth will motivate you. But for real, I’ve come in here like 6 times over the course of 8 weeks. The food is mediocre, edible greasy spoon stuff but that doesn’t match the scenery. Though the staff is nice enough, I had the(mis)pleasure of sitting at the«bar» which apparently is where the staff goes to do their b****ing and I was thoroughly disappointed, particularly by the older one with silver hair — she doesn’t seem like she has one sympathetic molecule in her body. All face value nothing genuine there at all. Anyway, I can handle all that I work at a bar and restaurant I know how it goes. But the final straw was waiting a longer than it took to cook and eat my food for me to receive my check. Quite actually, 21 minutes. And it wasn’t even my server who noticed.

I suggest you order the Bacon Flight, a sampling of eight varieties of bacon, to accompany whatever else you are ordering. You’ll then be on your way to refining your bacon palette. The flight will add about nine bucks to the cost of your meal, but it’s a delightful item to share if you are socializing with friends or family. Every visitor to The Oink Café needs to order the flight at least once. Servers at Oink are very friendly and helpful. They do a nice job of making recommendations and keeping your coffee cup filled. The café itself finds a middle ground, with solid food served at reasonable prices. Not a cheap diner nor a too trendy premium dining spot. The menu is not that innovative, except for a willingness to throw bacon into anything, which is fun. Ordering the eight bacon flight is essential to appreciating the bacon varieties. If nothing else, you’ll then know which bacon to request on your next visit. If you don’t have this basis for comparison, you’ll just think the bacon with your meal is well, bacon. You won’t be able to appreciate what differentiates Oink from other breakfast spots. The restaurant is housed in an odd long and narrow space, but there’s a deceptive amount of seating. There can still be a wait, however, at peak times. There is also a small dog friendly patio for outside dining. Oink is kid friendly, with a «little piggies» menu and a pig to color while waiting to be served. If you appreciate art, you’ll enjoy the large number of the pig masterpieces from previous diners on display.

The best place for Breakfast and Bacon in the valley! Portions are generous and filling. Never had a bad experience, staff will recognize you and acknowledge you even if you don’t sit in their section. Love this place! Definitely a must visit restaurant!

There was a wait and that’s to be expected. 40 minutes. The part that took just as long was to get our food. –1 star. We had 3 kids so after sitting out side waiting and coming in and waiting… Just not fun. –1 more star for very ordinary food all around the table. I do however regret not getting a bacon flight! I just might have to come back and give it another shot. But if your in the mood for an ordinary breakfast joint I say you will be pleased! I did love the Pigs colored by kids posted on the wall! Gave us something to look at!(Also has a decent patio. I love patios ;))

How is it that I’ve never reviewed this place before? As many times as I go, I would have thought I’d done Oink. Oink is not to be missed. It is a great and funky little breakfast joint that specializes in one thing… Can you guess? BACON! Ok, let’s make this clear — everything they make us good. They would be a success even with out the bacon. And the service is great. Some of the employees have been there for years. When you meet them you will understand. They love this place too. I like to see that level of investment. But the BACON — that stuff is crazy good. They do «Bacon Flights» where you get to see and taste all different kinds of bacon. And I still can’t pick a favorite.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting a good time to try this place out because, well, BACON! It’s got a nice layout and the wait staff was extremely friendly. When I go to a place for breakfast one of the key factors to a good experience is if the wait staff can keep my coffee cup filled. Yeah for Autumn, our server. She did this for our whole table. I honestly could not decide on what to get so I told her to «Surprise me». Sometimes not a good idea, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was served the breakfast burger. Big hunk of meat and cheese with pepper bacon on a wheat bun. I was impressed at it’s size however they forgot the egg on the burger and brought it on a separate plate a minute later. One of our party tried the«flight» of bacon and stated it was pretty good. I tried a piece of the Applewood and I liked it better than the pepper. So my overall impression of Oink Café was good but not over the top. Forgetting an ingredient on a menu item is a no-no in any restaurant but I am glad they brought it. I would have never known. The coffee was good and the servers excellent. A little on the pricey side for breakfast for my taste. Over $ 80 for 5 of us. I’d like to go back and try lunch. Maybe I will do that soon.

We visited on a Monday at lunch. There were plenty of tables and service was fine; we requested to get our ticket right after our food was delivered, and we were obliged. The infamous bacon flight is impressive, though expensive. It IS very high quality bacon – much better than what I usually get at the grocery store. The taste differences are quite noticeable. I had the strawberry chicken salad. It was the full size, and it wasn’t huge. Okay, I knew this was a place known for breakfast food and bacon, and yeah, the salad was just okay. The chicken didn’t have a lot of flavor and had obviously just been pulled from the fridge. It wasn’t bad by any means. My husband had four pancakes. He’s a guy with a big appetite, and he was defeated by these pancakes. They took up a whole platter. The sample I had was light, fluffy, and everything a pancake should be. Oink Café definitely knows their breakfast stuff. It’s pretty far from us, but I’d be okay with visiting again if we were in the area.
