I always heard about this place but PHONIEXVILLE is a little out of the way but I decided to hear what all the talk was about. Let’s just say this place is AMAZING. One of the only dive bars in the area with an array of craft beers. If your into quality beer and food this is the place to be. Not to mention the nice outside wooden deck that overlooks the town. Will be back with my family for sure.

First of all — don’t expect great service. I don’t like to give a bad review based on one experience, but poor service has been a repeat offender at this place. Don’t expect to order food. If you do, be prepared to wait forever and a day for it(even if the place is a ghost town). Prices for drinks aren’t too bad, and I do like that they have outdoor space. Like I said though, customer service is at a minimum. I’d much rather walk down the street and go to Bistro on Bridge or Great American Pub, though, before I spend a dime at this place.

5 star restaurant? no. 3 star restaurant? probably not. but amazing dive bar? YES. this place is a diamond in the rough. they clearly cater to the locals, as they should because I could tell they have a solid clientele base. but, as the very friendly bartender was saying, they don’t do much with their food(burgers, fries, hot dogs) but their owner keeps all but two taps on a constant rotation so new beers are a guarantee and their selection was just short of shocking. one of my all-time favorite Belgian beers, which I’ve only seen on tap at 2 other restaurants each known for their amazing beer selections, was on tap here last night… amazing. don’t discount this place. check out their Facebook to see what beers are coming up or give them a call– one of your favorites could be there.

Super solid drinking facility. In the summer the outside patio is very enjoyable. Awesome beers on draft and some games(billiards etc) for when the boys want to rock out. Not the first choice for food, but hey, if you got beer — you’ll find me near ;-). Cheers, Pistol pete

Do you like the smell of farts? Other reviewers have described a «musty» smell that they can’t quite identify. I’ll identify it for you. It is farts. Anyways, this place is a classic dive bar. In a good way! Surprisingly decent beer selection, okay food, wet carpet, suspicious bathroom, nice outdoor area if you’re looking to take in a breath of fresh lung cancer. All the markings of a hole-in-the-wall establishment. But seriously, it’s a great time. All you have to do to get a drink bought for you by someone 3 times your age in this place is be even remotely identifiable as female. You don’t even have to wax your mustache. If you’re looking for a gross time, head to the Pick.

Came here on Wednesday night. Bar tender was interested in talking to her friend and food was extremely slow with 10 people in the place. Then bartender left and asked a customer to watch over. Must have gone for a smoke. I met the owner and was hoping they would do well. I will not return.

Came here this past Friday after having not been here for quite a few years. Bar seems to have a musty smell to it. Tables in pool table room are haphazard and wobbly. Beer selection was disappointing. For once. And drinks seemed extremely pricey. $ 17 for a standard domestic beer and one vodka cranberry. eh idk. maybe I wasn’t drunk enough yet, but this place doesn’t seem to have whatever charm it used to have previously. It’s really a two star joint but threw a third one on there since it gives me all kinds of nostalgia of when I used to frequent.

Yes, this bar is classified as a dive bar and yes, it can feel like one, but not in a creepy, scumbag kind of way. I enjoy going here, it’s local, relaxing and comfortable. Great draft and bottled beer selections too. If you’re a fan of craft brew, it’s worth a stop. The wait staff seems knowledgeable about the beer they are serving, which is good when you’re not quite sure what you want. The main reason I’m writing this review is because of their hot wings. OMG they are delicious, large, and quite meaty. I’ve only had the hot flavor so I can’t speak to the rest, but they are definitely, hands down, the best wings on Bridge street! It seems they pop them onto a grill just after cooking and wow, they really are unique. Wednesday its $.50 per wing. They were briefly closed down in early October due to the building being unsafe, but they are open now and scaffolding covers one side of the building as they work on the repairs. It’s important to note that the closure was not due to any health violations. If you are a first time visitor, let them know, and get a one of your dollars attached to the ceiling with whatever note you choose to write.

Place is great. Awesome beer selection. Great times except the bathrooms. Please renovate the bathrooms!

I am a bar fly, straight up bar fly. This is what you want out of a bar, fun staff, outside, pool table, and everything fun. Tony does punk the last Sunday of the month and Wednesday karaōke, yep. Stop by, have some drinks, and talk to everyone. It’s just a fun bar.

So I finally decided to go to the Pickering creek inn after many attempts. Im really glad that I did, we came for the queenixville variety show and I enjoyed it! The only thing is that it was so hot inside, no AC only few fans and the place is small which makes it even worse! The bartender didn’t seem to know what he’s doing so I only got rum and coke which wasn’t cold and the beer wasn’t cold either. Those are the few things they need to work on. I didn’t eat there tonight but I do want to come back for dinner or lunch.

I like this place despite some issues they could fix easily. The beer selection is great. The bartenders are always friendly. Prices are pretty good(except some of the better beers are a little overpriced) Overall it is a sorta divey blue collar place but safe and friendly. Negatives: the food is pretty bad. There is really very little that’s good. The wings are ok. Don’t bother with the rest. They changed the menu recently but it’s still bad. The outdoor patio needs new furniture. It is he absolute cheapest aluminum junk that wobbles when you sit in it. The tables are just as bad. Fix the food and the furniture outside and it would be a go to place.

Very cool spot right in Phoenixville. The patio area is very nice. I went there the other night for some beers and they had a great selection of IPA’s. It was also half price flat breads so we got the barbeque chicken flatbread and the veggie flatbread. both were very good! Will definitely be going back. The bartender/waiter on the patio was also great! He made the experience really enjoyable

Craft beer, good food. I got a great BBQ flatbread. Outdoors. Our waiter was amazing. Only thing I didn’t like was the smoking outside on the patio but I don’t think that is avoidable.

The food is terrible. I was with a table of over 10 people we each got something different everything was totally disgusting. This is much worse than your typical«bar food». I’ve eaten a lot of bars in my life, unfortunately, and this one is definitely one of the worst.

Took my son here last night. Parking on the side is emblazoned as a tow-away zone but there was no signage indicating this was Pickering’s lot. People inside let me know it was. We elected to eat outdoors and were waiting there a little while before we understood that we needed to order at the bar and they bring the food out. The bartender and waitress were very friendly. Hamburgers were very good and on a pleasing hard roll. Sundays the hamburgers are half price, so this was worthwhile. Beer selection is extensive. We both appreciated the relaxed atmosphere here, and we will come back if we are in the area.

We had a good time here. Service is great. There’s an interesting selection of beers and our server had helpful suggestions for what to try. Food quality is uneven. Hot wings were very good, but they were out of bleu cheese dressing. The hamburger was perfect, but the«salad» that came with it was only a couple pieces of lettuce. The pizzas had excellent ingredients and flavor, but they were over-cooked which made them dry and hard to bite through the thick crust. I would have given 3 stars, but I added a star for dog-friendly outdoor seating – this was a big bonus for us.

Went to the Pickering Creek Inn about a month ago. I opened a bar tab which I used all night to get drinks as you usually do at a bar. When I decided to leave I went to pay for my tab and… THEYLOSTMYCREDITCARD If I could give this place 0 stars I would. They were completely unapologetic about giving away my credit card on a saturday night. Leaving me no way to get money for the rest of the weekend. and forcing me to wait over a week for a replacement debit card. They even made it a point to try and place the blame on me, saying that maybe I never opened a tab or gave them my card. Well then, is it your business practice to just give people drinks for free all night? Why did you look at the computer screen every time I ordered a drink? that makes a lot of sense. Solid story Once the bartender realized she completely lost my card she claimed that they swipe the card and give it back to you when you order your first drink. Which raises the question, why do you have that stack of peoples credit cards I just watched you frantically look through. Interesting theory When I became disgruntled that they lost my card, I was and harassed by the other bartenders to «calm down» or «everyone makes mistakes sometimes» while still receiving no acknowledgement that they actually did anything wrong. I will never go back to this place. Your beer is overpriced and your service was already TERRIBLE regardless of this experience

The only reason I showed up here was to see the band that was playing, but of course I wanted to take full advantage and try the food. I saw other reviews that warned of bad food, but I didn’t listen. I got a fried chicken sandwich with pickles. It’s $ 9, $ 10 if you get fries instead of chips. About 10 minutes after ordering, my food comes out. My sandwich is quite literally a slab of(partially black) fried chicken with pickles thrown on and a mayo mixture. The chicken tasted like it was fried in something that’s never cleaned. There was black char just flaking off. The fries were good though, should’ve just bought those alone for $ 4.50. On a different note, the drinks are an average price, with my Midori sour being $ 6.50. There are a lot of beer choices, so my boyfriend was pleased. The bartender was very nice and so was our waitress. All in all, it’s a decent place. Just steer clear of the food!

This bar has the best microbrew selection in Phoenixville. They have 12 beers on tap outside in addition to what they have available inside. The patio bar is a nice place to hang out, but when it is enclosed in the colder months the acoustics are unappealing since there is nothing outside to absorb the sound. However, in the warmer months this is one of the more comfortable places to enjoy a cocktail outside in Phoenixville.
