Del Mars Baha Grille

The sign at this business says «Taco del Mar», but strangely, you cant get a taco there. We were the only people in there at 12:30p on a Saturday (first red flag) and we each ordered our own burrito. The unfriendly «cook» went into action turning up burners, and stirring refried bean and cheese that looked like had been sitting for hours, if not days. The burritos were terrible. Luke warm meat, wilted lettuce, and just overall bland and bad. We will not be returning.

I would agree with the last review as the food was not very good. I ordered a burrito and there was just something off with the taste. To be honest, my stomach felt a little rough afterwards.
The good things about the place are that they offer three types of tortilla (Wheat, white, tomato). They offer spanish and white rice along with your four main meat types. The burrito was pretty good sized but a little messy as the salsa just ran out of it. Not all of the meat looked all that appetizing either. I wasn’t impressed and probably won’t be stopping in again. The also were offering $ 5 burritos which of course I didn’t notice until I was walking out and realized that he charged me more than that.
And I was excited to stop here but it isn’t Chipotle, Quidoba, or Hothead. I think I will stay with those places.

I was pretty excited to go here last night, seeing that there are only 2 Taco del Mar in Ohio and loving Chipotle as much as the next person
(WHY is it that the lines are out of the door at EVERY location at ANY given time?!!)
I wanted to find someplace even better, other than my 2 beloved favorites Habanero and Currito all the way in Cincinatti.
Well first off I was taken aback by the old and very run down exterior.
I was really hoping this would NOT be the right place.
No luck, it was and with that I went to give it a whirl.
One guy working and he was NOT happy about it and let everyone know.
One person in front of us in line and that took 15 minutes to make one burrito.
I thought what a great selection and prepared my husband we would need to order alot to see what each it like.
So mondo burrito, fajita mondo and smothered enchilada for the man,
tacos with chips and queso for the boy and fajita taco salad for me.
This took him over 30 minutes to make and its the exacht same line up as Chipotle!
They have spanish and white rice, refried, pinto and black beans, 5 meats, and also tomato shells as an option, along with 4 salsas.
Sounds like alot, but really all tasted the same.
All shells tasted like rubber, big fat, thick rubberbands that were hard to chew.
All meat was old and dry, the salsa and beans fine but certainly not exciting at all.
The fajita veggies were pretty much empty when he made my husbands burrito and when I wanted them on my salad the literally scraped the last 2 onions out of the bowl. YUCK!
The sizes are generous and we paid $ 16 for all that but who cares if it tastes like crap?
So back in line at Chipotle it is for this lady or on to the next one…
