Salmon, Scallops and steak were way over all over cooked. also very very crowded not much space. Very disappointed.

We always enjoy our time at Iron Chef! Tonight was no exception! The food outstanding and the staff even better. We did make a reservation, expecting a long wait due to the holiday. But usually, we just drop by to eat dinner on a typical weekend. The parking is good at this location too.

It’s disappointing to write this review as my absolute favorite dining experience is a hibachi style Japanese steakhouse; although Iron Chef just does not make the grade. What makes a great hibachi style Japanese steakhouse? First it’s the chef, and based on a few visits I’ve yet to experience a chef with an ounce of personality at this establishment. Second, the awesome food — steak, chicken, shrimp, and/or lobster with fried rice smothered in yum-yum sauce. I mean, c’mon now it’s a fatboy paradise, how could any reasonable person not love this food!?! .but somehow Iron Chef seems to find a way to screw this surefire delicioso meal up — by burning the rice to a crunchy crisp, over cooking the steak, burning the chicken in way-way too much oil. Finally, service is slow and a just a bit rude. While Iron Chef is close & convenient, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for your hibachi steakhouse experience.

Went here for my wife’s bday dinner. Good ambiance and loud. Lots of fire and steam too. The chef put on a good show and was pretty talented — more so than many other similar establishments. Price was ok for what we got but bday dessert was $ 6 for a pineapple which was a bit much. The one bad thing was that thy didn’t recognize what gluten free means and contaminated my sons food with soy sauce. We got it remade Ina clean grill though so all is well.

I really liked it, it’s fun and the food is… good enough. It’s all about the show at that part was great. If you are on the fence about going, then just go and check it out it is very worth what they charge. It most likely not be the best Hibachi grill you’ve ever been to, but it just might be the best value.

Went here last night for the first time. Really good food for the price(only $ 19.95 for the chicken and steak combo). The entertainment was great. The chef would fling rice into our mouths. It was fun. The other people at our table had a birthday so they came out and sang a Japanese birthday song and they made the girl stand and dance with them. It was a great time. I will definitely be back.

There are quite a few Japanese restaurants in the greater Columbus area that cook hibachi style and this is one of the best. Prices are reasonable and the cooks are entertaining and efficient. A great place to eat. They are a firm 10 on the YUM scale.

We love Iron Chef! This is our favorite place. Our favorite server Olivia is the absolute best. She remembers us every time. She is kind, friendly, and, so good at what she does. The chefs are great, and they do a good job with the teppan cooking. On special occasions or just because times we go here. Food is delicious. Totally recommend the Japanese plum wine. They also offer a sit down resturant, and bar incase you are not into the teppan cooking. But do try it atleast once. Spatulas flying, ggs binging juggled, onion volcanos, and even customers catching bites of rice in midair. We love Iron Chef.

I have been coming to Iron Chef since it opened. I have yet to be disappointed. Everything is always great from the servers to the chefs and yum yum on all the food keeps me coming back.

Place appears a little dingy and dark but they make up for it in quality food, prepared well and entertaining chefs. Huge lunch potions. Would recommend.

(Tl, dr: at bottom) We have been to this restaraunt 3 times, it is on the pricy side but for dinner and a show, it isn’t unreasonable. We went on a Thursday because my son wanted to go for his birthday. After reading other reviews about a lack of kids menu and paying for the crew to sing Happy Birthday I had reservations but decided that it was close to home so it was a good choice. If you have never been here, the décor reminds you of a strip mall restaraunt not free standing fine dining. The black ceiling tiles frequently get scorched by the fire from the grill top and it does not have a natural flow to the floor plan. From the outside it was hard to tell if they were open, but when you get closer you can see the small sign in the window. We were greeted promptly by the hostess and wisked away to a table. It was 3 minutes before a server came to the table to greet us. We ordered two mixed drinks and a kids Shirley Temple. The drinks came out in about another 3 minutes with the soup and we were asked if we were ready to order. Two chicken entries and a NY Strip with one order of fried rice. *note another post stated they did not have kids portions, they now do and they are about $ 9. The mushroom soup was typical, watery beef broth with three shaved mushroom slices and chives. I tasted my Mia Tai and immediately regretted ordering it. The taste was as if the sweet and sour mix went bad. I asked to send it back and the waiter reluctantly took it back, I exchanged it for a miller light. It took about 8 minutes for him to slam it down on the table. It was about this time that the table next to us was being sung to by the staff… our waiter, knowing we were celebrating my son’s birthday asked if we would like them to sing to him. We declined.(Verbally said no, shook head no) since we had cake waiting at home. The chef came out and put on a show, he was very talented and we always enjoy the cooking portion. After dinner, the staff came out and sang to my son, made him get up and dance, took our picture. The bill came and we noticed we were charged for the«birthday party». I wasn’t upset that we were charged for the party, I was upset that they charged us for something we didn’t order. The hostes came to the table, and said that their printer was broken and they couldn’t give us a picture, but if we came back, we could pick it up the next day. We told the woman that she could just refund our money for the item we didn’t order that they couldn’t give us it would be fine… She had to check with her boss. A woman came out to the table in what looked like her cleanest sweatshirt. She asked what the problem was. We informed her that we never order the birthday party and that we would like to take off the bill because they couldn’t even give us everything we had paid for. She told us that there must have been some miscommunication because our server ordered the party… This went on for 5 minutes before she said that she wouldn’t give us a refund because we ate the dessert(¼ pineapple). She said she would give us $ 2.50 off if we were not going to get the picture. We took the $ 2.50(out of principle at this point) which was slammed on the table. I said thank you, the response I recieved was YUP. No seriously, yup. From the manager, because we were not satisfied with what we were sold. We will not go back to this restaraunt, there are far too many options out there where you can spend money. I hope if you are considering going to this restaraunt, you go somewhere else. In total we spent about $ 75 for two adults and one child. You can get a lot better food and experience for less money. Tl, dr: business loses customers over $ 2.50, avoid this restaraunt.

Meh. It was just«ok» but then again I’m not a fan of these places in general. I ordered a martini from the bar, you would have assumed I asked for drink from Mars. It was awful. The food was just ok.

I went here with friends to celebrate a birthday. It’d been a long time since I’d been to a Japanese steakhouse. It was alot of fun and the food was so delicious. You’ll want to reserve your seats and time. My party there early but it was ok. We got to sit with a family as they were just arriving. A table will seat 7 people. The menu had variety. I got the combo of steak and chicken. With that, came a refreshing salad and a mushroom soup. It was so good! The chef came and prepared everyone’s meal on a clean grill. He was also very interactive so be prepared. That’s the fun of it! The meal was so good and there was so much — I took leftovers that lasted me 2 days. The adult beverages were ok. I think I expected a little more. The down part was getting charged for a birthday treat for my friend. Alot of restaurants won’t charge you. But nevertheless, I recommend going. You will have alot of fun & you’ll enjoy good food.

Price vs Quality is right on par and had a pleasant time. I feel that eating out should have some entertainment value, and Hibachi cooking can be very entertaining if done properly. I was not disappointed at the Iron Chef. There are other local options in the Reynoldsburg /Pickerington area however the price seems a bit steep at those places or the quality is poor. I plan to eat here again and bring my children when I think they would enjoy the food. I dont know if they currently have a kid menu, I will have to check the next time I am here.

Mixed feelings on this one. I really like the food, the show is wonderful, chef was funny, a good entertainer. I had the shrimp and scallops and it was very good. The service other than the chef was somewhat lacking, I specifically asked if the shrimp appetizer listed as coming with the meal would be included since on my prior visit it was not, gentleman said yes but it was not served. Was somewhat difficult to get a drink refill this time, and as far as taking kids there, it’s good for the show but I won’t be doing it again. For $ 16 for a four year old kiddo, which includes two apple juices at $ 3/ea, he wouldn’t eat anything but the shrimp. This is surprising because this kid eats Chinese frequently, eats Thai and Indian food, even Sag Paneer. Here he thought the salad was weird(the dressing), didn’t care for the mushroom soup, I’m not sure why not the rice here vs Chinese and not particularly the restaurant’s fault but a little pricey for a kiddo meal considering. Will likely be back without him, though won’t go as often due to that.

Good food. My kids love this place. However, we went there on my birthday and didn’t get the free birthday meal, even though we mentioned it several times. That was the reason I didn’t give it five stars!

I liked this place when it first opened. Now not so much. They have signs on the wall that someone printed on regular printer paper they are burned to a crisp and I’ve been twice and no one has changed them. Also the walls painted red are black now. It looks dirty. I won’t be back. They charge like a high end restaurant which they are not. The manager needs to open their eyes and look from a customers point of view then fix what they see.

My favorite restaurant in Pickerington. Huge portions and costs a fortune so we only go 1 – 2 times per year.

I give this place above average. They season the food well on the grill but the show and the presentation lack from others. Taste us greater than show though so you win above average

The portion sizes are out of this world. One order could feed a family of 4. The food is middle of the road when it comes to a Japanese steakhouse. The hibachi chef did a good job, although he broke some eggs on the floor, ha. We sat at an 8 top table alone– so it was a little awkward having this chef«perform» for us. $ 50 for 3 people to eat. Seems a bit pricey to me.
