I’ve been here 3 times. I would LOVE for this to be my go-to place, especially since I live close by, but I’m not there yet. And I would like a nice sit down restaurant to thrive in my suburb. Service 2 out of 3 times was slow. Now that’s easy to overcome, but only once did I have above average(actually it was awesome) service. Then there’s the food. It just isn’t screaming, «Come back for more!» It’s just okay. And at this price point, I can think of 8 other places I’d rather go for better items. The short ribs I had once — good example. I’ve had better. They weren’t awful, they just weren’t great. I wouldn’t get them again. What they do well here: off the apps menu, the meatballs and polenta. I also like the Sicilian rice balls. The desserts are also fantastic. The atmosphere needs some adjustment. High industrial ceilings make it loud(for a nice sit down restaurant?), and the tables are spaced entirely too close as well. Easy to overcome those issues though!

I had been wanting to try Lomonico’s for a long time, and was a little concerned when checking in and seeing friends’ more recent disappointing experiences. Luckily, I was not disappointed. The bad, might as well get it out of the way: I will concur that one of the pasta dishes ordered did seem to lack salt or something, maybe a new chef on a low sodium heart healthy kick? Clearly not the same person seasoning other menu items though. The good: Really good pizza, I mean I am not really a huge pizza fan and I was wowed, definitely coming back for more, hope to make it for Wood Fired Wednesdays $ 10! Little more than one would pay at Donato’s on a regular day too. The better: Mac n cheese appetizer was a meal onto itself and it was probably the best I have tried. The fabulous: Service. I’m not sure but I think we may have been served by the owner?! In any case, he was just fantastic, charismatic, accommodating, had the best suggestions and oh loved the drinks. Best of all, fabulous service delivered shortly before they close, something that is very hard to get at most restaurants, but due to my schedule, it’s just unavoidable at times. Just sorry I did not get to try the desserts, no room. Or the dessert drinks, coffee and liquor plus whipped cream, yes please!

My husband and I went there tonight for the first time as we have been really interesting in trying the food. I should have known as soon as we entered this place was a mistake. The front receptionist looked disinterested and was completely unfriendly. We sat down and the waitress brought out bread for a started. The bread was cold which I guess is how the typically serve it. The bread alone was aweful. We tried the calamari and it to was absolutely terrible. The calimari was chewy and tough to eat. My husband ordered the feature special and I ordered the pork tenderloin which our waitress raved about. Once received we gave it a try and needless to say our food was once again gross. We picked at our food then asked for the check. I will never be back. Very disappointing. Food is terrible.

LOVED this place when it first opened, FIVE stars then. Like many places do it has fallen since opening. We have dined there fairly regularly since Lomonico’s opened. At first the chopped salad was excellent; it was indeed chopped and the dressing was really delicious. The salad, though it is described as «chopped» is no longer chopped and the dressing, for the last many, many months has been either watered down or barely there. Service is excellent, the salmon is excellent. Others who have dined with us have been lukewarm re: their experience and feel much like we do. Please, please go back to the beginning Lomonico’s when you were truly great.

Oh my gosh! We had the BEST time here the other night! My aunt and uncle both have birthdays this month and wanted to take them out somewhere nice for dinner. My aunt mentioned that she wanted to try Lomonico’s so I sent a fam group text and 2 weeks later there were 13 of us dining together. Lomonico’s was able to accommodate us even though we added 3 people to the rez last minute. Some showed up on time, others not so much and that was OK too. I didn’t feel rushed at all. In fact, our server, Vicki, was freaking awesome. She was so nice and so patient and super attentive, always coming back to see how everything was tasting, refilling drinks, etc. with a smile. I was very very impressed with the service and that the food didn’t take long to come out. I’ve had nightmare experiences at restaurants that shall not be named in this review where we’ve gone out to dinner with the fam and they have no clue how to handle a large party. At one restaurant that also shall not be named, we waited over an hour and a half to get a table because they kept seating smaller parties before us, so now I have anxiety whenever I plan a large group dinner… haha. That was the absolute worst and Lominico’s the other night was the ABSOLUTEBEST experience I’ve had with a large party. When I asked to split the checks upon arrival, Vicki didn’t bat an eye. She definitely took great care of us. We’ll be back! On top of the excellent service, the food was really really good! It was Woodfired Wednesday when we went so the party on my check ordered pizzas, the jambalaya, the bolognese and the mac and cheese. A few of us had wine ANDDESSERT. Vicki also brought out the bday boy’s and girl’s dessert with a candle in each :) For the 5 people on my bill it was $ 95! So great! And we were stuffed when we left. I didn’t know what to expect before I went, but so glad we chose this to celebrate my aunt and uncle’s special days! Thanks, Lomonico’s!

This is my first review ever, so here goes nothing. Let me start by saying, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed Lomonicos. They give a generous pour of wine, the service was great. We ordered a pizza, Caesar salad, and calamari appetizer. All very good. I would echo earlier reviews about the bread not being stellar, but overall the food was solidly good! My only complaint, but something that was really bothersome to me, about Lominicos was the atmosphere. We arrived around 8:30 pm, and the lights were as bright as a Bob Evans. There was no music playing at all, and no lighting on the patio that overlooks the parking lot. Luckily I had a view of roosters, which provided some ambience. I think atmosphere really goes a long way, and making subtle adjustments would be additive. Hence, I give 4 stars because the food and service were good, but I think little improvements could take the restaurant to the next level.

This is really a 3.5 star review. I have been here many times and I feel like their food has declined a bit. I thought it was really good when it first opened up. The menu was on point and the food was simple. We’ve had most of the entrees including their burgers, fish, pizza and pasta. We recently had their pasta night specials($ 12.50 with choice of chicken Alfredo, lasagna, and spaghetti and meatballs and salad/bread). First, the bread was not great. A bit stale and unimpressive. It was served with a nice garlic olive oil dip. Second, the Italian salad was good with a nice combination of romaine, banana peppers and olives. Third, I have had the spaghetti and meatballs before and the pasta they served for pasta night was soft(not al dente) and over sauced. The meatballs were a bit dry. Others ordered the lasagna and chicken Alfredo and said it was just alright. It was missing all of the elements that you look for in a lasagna– crispy edges, oozy cheese and just melt in your mouth goodness. It looked like they put some pasta sheets together layered meat sauce between layers. I give lomonico 3.5 star because the service has always been good. The restaurant is kid friendly which is great.

I want to sell my house so that I can move to Pickerington and this can be my local spot. Everything was wonderful. Service was pleasant and speedy, portions were large, and food was delicious. I started with the nachos and my husband started with the meatballs. They both were fabulous. Only complaint was that they were so filling! For dinner I had the bolognese and my husband had the salmon and a side of the Mac and cheese. All were very good but the Mac and cheese was my favorite. Not that we had any room, but of course we needed to try dessert. The butter cake was very good. However, the party cake was AMAZING. We look forward to going back really soon!

Based on a private in house catering. We attended an early Friday evening event. 40 people with meatballs, rolls, salad, chicken Alfredo, and meat lasagna. I later learned this room is used for cooking classes offered. The staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks refilled, plates cleared, dessert served. The restaurant was clean and neat. The restrooms were quite sanitary. There was a tv hanging over the bar for sports. The food was all well cooked. As you have read in my previous reviews, I enjoy a lot of flavor. In Italian cuisine I have come to expect garlic and oregano. Not so much here. I asked for cracked black pepper and red pepper. My wife regretted that she forgot to ask if they sell their dressing. I found it sweet for my taste. I look forward to ordering off the menu on our next visit.

Whoa… I am super sad to write this update, but after tonight’s experience, I can’t really leave my glowing review out there. When I first tried Lomonico’s, it wasn’t «good for Pickerington» or some other silly qualifier people tend to put on the ‘burbs. It was genuinely a stellar experience. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the restaurant was gorgeous. Well I went back tonight, and only 2⁄3 of those were still true. I’m not sure what’s going on, but our food tonight wasn’t very good. I ordered the salmon salad, my friend had the carbonara, and I took bolognese home for the Mister. My salmon was cooked well, but the fish itself didn’t really have a taste. It appeared to be blackened(or heavily spiced) so it was peppery, but something big was missing. It actually tasted like it wasn’t salted.(And I’m not someone who salts everything or wants everything super salty… I’m usually the person who thinks everything already tastes too salty.) The salad part of my salmon salad was not good at all. There was loads of lettuce and just a tiny smattering of onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes(I omitted the blue cheese crumbles). The avocado ranch dressing was watery and not very ranch-y or avocado-y. My friends didn’t love their food either. It was strange how we all felt the seasonings were way off – too much of some things and not enough salt to bring the dishes together and to their fullest potential. I know I’m a bit disappointed in Lomonico’s, but it’s absolutely not a bad place to eat. I was just really let down from how truly wonderful I remember it being. My verdict for the moment: If you’re nearby, Lomonico’s is a solid choice. The patio is beautiful, the drinks are great, and the service is very kind. In the past I would have said it was worth the drive from the city, but I might not make that suggestion again.

I was truly looking forward to trying this restaurant. Heck, ever since they opened, I’ve had them bookmarked! So, I was super pumped when Bryant and I decided to meet for dinner here. Perfect evening — gorgeous sky, slight breeze, great for a seat on their patio. Nice area. Okay, first I should go back a bit. This place was given high marks since it’s opening. When they first open, they were getting five stars/high regards from many Unilocalers. A «fine dining establishment» in the suburbs? Definitely worth a bookmark. My meal, however, I felt, did not fall par to the majority of the reviews. I got the Carbonara pasta dish. Bacon, mushrooms, peas and a poached egg on top. All in a creamy white sauce. Not impressed. The sauce and pasta didn’t leave an appealing after-taste in my mouth. The sauce needed more salt? More cheese perhaps? The mushrooms where ok, but I had to eat them solo because the subtle taste. Bacon? Where? Oh the few specks that I bit into — couldn’t taste them at all. The dish needed something… Again, salt? I even cut the egg to spread the runny yoke, but that did not enhance the entrée. I’m bummed. The dish was not worth $ 13. But I’m willing to give this place a second chance, in time. I’m sure it will take a friends’ suggestion for me to truck back here. There pizza and burgers may be the star of the show… But as of tonite, the food’s pizazz was very lackluster.

It took 53 minutes for my entrée to be put on the table. My waiter seemed only mildly concerned about it as if it was equivalent to him forgetting to bring me a straw. I got the waffle fri nachos and those were actually very tasty. But 53 minutes for my entrée. My girlfriend got the steak it was pretty bland. I dont remember what I got as I was to irritated that I had to wait that long for my food to enjoy it. I will definitely not be back.

Decided to try Lomonicos out after seeing it a few times when we went to Roosters next door. We waited for a while because we wanted a patio table on one of the first nice days of the spring. We were totally willing to wait:-) however once we got sat, it was over 10 minutes before we got acknowledged. After asking a random server to help us, he investigated and realized no on had been assigned to our table. I place that mistake on the hostesses. So I figured that may have been the end of our slow service. I was wrong. Numerous times I had to ask the other patio server to fill up my water glass, our food took FOREVER. I am patient, especially on a beautiful night on a Friday, but this was ridiculous. I also had to ask for bread(which I didn’t realize they even had till I walked through the dinning room and every other tae had bread and there was a long shelf in the kitchen with guess what: bread baskets full of bread!!) and silverware which looked like every table had automatically. I think our server had a large section inside so we were forgotten about a few times. We got the calamari for an appetizer which was ok. It had a lot of non-calamari pieces in it(banana peppers I believe) which for the price I got more peppers than calamari. I had the roasted chicken with potatoes and Brussels sprout leaves? Or was it artichoke leaves?(Tried looking it up but their new menu is not posted online, only their old one). Whatever they were, they were more of a garnish than a side. There was no vegetable, and I love both of these vegetables, and so I was disappointed. :-(my husband loved his jumbalaya! Warning: it is spicy:-) the Pinot noir made me very happy. Lol but I am not sure there is much in life a good glass of wine cannot fix;-) will we go back? Maybe. At least to give the service a second chance. The food was good enough to try again:-) so stay tuned for HOPEFULLY an updated better review.

Amazing food. EXCELLENT service. Eat there with the family at least once a week. When you go, ask for the server named Dale. He is the best. You will not have a need with him. Jason M.

Wanted someplace nice-ish to take my mother-in-law out to lunch… a quick check of Unilocal found this place just 5 minutes from her house, and with a 5 star review from the CM, we got in the car and headed out for lunch. We were greeted quickly and seated at a large table in the corner… our waiter was friendly & kept water filled without being obtrusive. We decided to order the waffle nachos while we figured out what we wanted for lunch. They came out relatively quickly… and they were delicious! We all went with the lunch special… I had the baked potato soup with the turkey BLT. The soup was delicious and the sandwich had a nice kick from the siracha mayo. My husband did the soup with the half pizza… was more than he could finish, and he’s normally a hearty appetite. My mother in law did the soup & salad… maybe a little light if you are hungry, but perfect for her and the dressing was great. I thought it was an amazing bargain for $ 9 each. A friendly goodbye and see you soon as we walked out about an hour later… a great place to grab a quick lunch with friends, family or colleagues! I’ll have to give them another try for a happy hour drink & app at the bar.

After having Lomonico’s delicious meatballs with parmesan polenta at the Italian festival in early October, we’ve been wanting to try this place and were very pleased. The atmosphere is very open. There is a large area with seating, a nice bar, and an a section where they offer cooking classes. The menu offers a variety of American and Italian cuisine at very reasonable prices(entrees between $ 13 and $ 27). We started with the crab dip and it was very good. The pepperjack cheese was a nice touch. I had the butternut squash ravioli, a nice autumn dish. It came with a rich cream sauce and some nuts for texture. My husband very much enjoyed the braised short rib. It was very tender and the vegetables were well-cooked. We finished with the warm butter cake, the perfect end to a delicious meal. Our server Ryan was very helpful and made good recommendations. He even went out of his way to provide us information on the cooking classes. Overall, we had great service and great food and will definitely be going back.

My husband and I were visiting Columbus and decided to try Lomonico’s for Sunday Brunch. My daughter, who lives in Columbus had been there for lunch a number times. I ordered the chicken salad croissant, and others at my table ordered the chicken and waffles and steak and eggs. The food arrived a short time later. The portions were really small(except for the chicken and waffles). I was a bit disappointed for the price. The chicken salad croissant arrived as 2 very small, mini croissants with just a tiny spoonful of chicken salad and a ½ handful of fries. My husband and daughter were equally disappointed with their tiny portions of steak and eggs. The food was well prepared, but not enough bang for the buck. I left hungry. I would return, but probably not for brunch.

Lomonicos is a newish and pretty nice restaurant on the SECOND Stonecreek Drive you’ll come to. I didn’t know that and drove around a bit before I figured it out. It’s in a rather large part of a strip mall with the middle of it devoted to tables for dining and the back is for the kitchen and the side is for the market. Very nice. I ordered a pair of crab cakes for my appetizer and they were very good. They were served on top of a tomato based sauce. For my main course, I chose the Linguine Bolognese. It was a nice sized order and tasted very good. For dessert, I got the bread pudding which contained apples and raisins and it too was very good. But there were a couple of flaws. #1, no bread was served. Since I’m not a big bread eater, I didn’t bother to ask for any. Also, there were no salt and pepper shakers on the table and no cheese for my pasta was offered. These folks have a bit to learn about running a restaurant. Maybe they’ll pick it up down the road. And I don’t know where all these folks with just one review came from. Spam, maybe?
