Marcus Cinemas

This is the first movie theatre that’s closest to my house. It’s a clean theatre with a wionderful environment without that additional costs to support the «pomp and circumstance» of other theatres. They have all the newest releases as well as «midnight showings of all the MAJOR releases.(I.E. I saw the latest Star Wars film here on Thursday night at 8:35) before the rush on the actual release date. They also have $ 5 Tuesdays which is ALWAYS a plus. Summed up, it’s a great theatre at a great place and definitely worth checking out.

Better prices than Easton amc. Good clean theater and convenient. The movie theaters have nice seating in the regular theaters and the Tuesday specials are great. We’ve been twice and both times were great.

Great theater. These people know what they’re doing. I’ve been to many a theater where the employees act like they rule the roost and don’t especially care for their customers. this was not the case here. I will be back!

What you would expect, people who work there are nice but it’s showing it’s age, in need up a serious update

There has been quite a few upgrades to this theater of the past few years. The ‘regular theaters’ have very comfortable chairs that recline slightly leaving you plenty of room for your legs.
I can say, they aren’t awesome about cleaning, at least at the end of the night… the trash — at least the two bins I saw — were overflowing.
I do like that their popcorn comes in a tub vs a bag — keeps your hands cleaner.
I will say, $ 10 per person is a bit hefty — that’s more expensive compared to Easton.

$ 5 Tuesdays, free popcorn, leather recliner in theater equals an enjoyable couple of hours.

Great theatre, with great bargains, and great staff. My favorite place to come on the East side, Marcus shows all the new releases for discount prices ($ 5 all day on Tuesdays). The concessions is pretty groovy too, giving away free popcorn on Tuesdays as well. Additionally, they have deep discounts on sodas, hot dogs, nachos, candy, etc (and not just on Tuesdays). The staff is great as well — friendly, very accommodating, and knowledgeable while appearing like a professional.
The recent addition of Zaffiros, however, is not a step in the right direction. I tried THEIR version of nachos tonight instead of the concession counters … Well, let’s just say it’s what led me to write this review. They were nasty! Never again. Back to concessions for me.
GIve this theatre a try and, like all ‘dine in’ theatres it seems, give the «eatery» a wide berth and stick with concessions.
Incidentally, the theatre was packed and lines very long, so I was about 15 minutes late to the screening. And no one stopped me from seeing it at all. Not sure what the lady below is going on about …

Love the new ultra screen seating this is awesome! !!! we always love coming here but now even more!!! We are here to see Anerican Sniper.

Decided to try out the new leather recliners in the ultra screen DLX theater. They were very comfortable. Heat was turned up to about 90 degrees. Other than that a great experience. Saw American Sniper. Awesome movie!

Ya gotta come for the $ 5 Tuesdays and free popcorn!
Besides that, I can’t see much that sets this theater apart form any of the other mega-​theaters in central Ohio. They play all the big movies, they have your standard theather snack bar, the seats are comfy enough…
But, for $ 5 on Tuesdays, it’s a heck of a deal!

So when I first arrived my credit card got declined to buy a ticket for the movie through the self serve kiosk. Then I went to an actual human being and like the kiosk he was a little annoying too and said well your credit card has been declined just give me cash.
What a greedy way to experience this movie theatre. Not only that they were trying to sell me the minion pins like they needed my money even more.
I met my friend after being worried about the credit card being declined. She and Giovanna here on Unilocal,calmed me down a bit. We get to the movie itself for Mockingjay: Part 1 and the theatre seats are so old and uncomfortable. I thought they would have the dream recliner seats like the one in Worthington off Hutchinson.
The only thing I do like about this movie theatre is that you all don’t know but I actually went to the AMC after this movie with my husband. The AMC theatre was more of a disaster than this one. I had a huge headache because the amp was played too loud that it seemed they were having technical difficulties there without telling the movie goers. Not only that I got stuck sitting next to someones baby.
So the only thing that this theatre will get points for is that I was not stuck sitting next to someones baby and there equipment worked well without giving me a huge headache.

Now sure how much I care for the Marcus Cinema Card. Doesn’t seem to be working well… the jury is out on it for now.

I think that this is one of the best movie theaters in Columbus. The air is nice and cold in the theater and they have plenty of snacks. They also run specials weekly on movies so everyone can afford to go. It can be a little pricey. I went to the night cinema and seen left behind for $ 10 bucks and got a Aquafina water for $ 4.50. The theaters are very clean and the surround sound is great. I would highly recommend this to friends or family.

I am a fan of Marcus Cinemas in Pickerington! They have a $ 5 All Day Movie special going on (yet I have not taken advantage of this yet due to work). Even though the prices of the snack bar is through the roof, the price of a movie is cheaper than the AMC at Easton ($ 10 vs. $ 12 – 15). The theaters are a bit smaller too, but that makes the movie more… intimate…
Plus, the Marcus Cinemas has the ULTRASCREEN. It is a bit like an IMAX, except not as large and tall (more wide if you ask me). We saw The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Fast and Furious 6. Both films looked great on the ULTRASCREEN.
If you are in the Pickerington area and want to catch a reasonably priced movie, go check it out!

Don’t show up late on a movie on $ 5.00 Tuesday! They won’t let you in the movie. Not even if it’s 5 – 10 mins late. Let it be a regular day you can come in on a movie a half hour late an they take your money!

You know that deep, childlike rush of energy, excitement, and exhilaration that is sometimes found in the most simplistic of things, like jumping on a trampoline, or riding a carnival carousel (or any category of carousel for that matter).
Tonight, I was denied that childlike euphoria when Marcus Theaters would not let my good pal Zac and I in for a 10:40 PM showing of Guardians of the Galaxy (I’ve seen it once, great flick), when we arrived at 10:50 PM to locked doors.
As I knocked on the window, waving with such a zeal and apprehension to the savagely emotionless employees mere feet away from us, they mockingly waved back with smug smiles across their faces, and rejected our request for entry by reenacting my prior waving more as we walked away.
All I wanted was a feature film and to happily give away some green for it. Marcus Theaters denied my capitalistic right, and therefore I deny Marcus Theaters my four other stars.
You should let me people in up to 15 minutes after the last showing. You lose nothing.

I have been coming to Marcus cinema since it opened over a decade ago. Since its opening they have made sure to keep it up-​to-​date year after year. I have seen a total over about 300+ movies here. I have had amazing memories with friends and family at midnight showings and double/​triple features. Their $ 5 tuesdays is an amazing deal and no other theaters have that.
They have introduced a new movie rewards program that is sufficient. You get a free 44oz drink on tuesdays which is great but the other rewards don’t seem worth the prices you pay to get the $ 2.00 off. I am not docking any stars for that though, the quality of this place and its staff goes over the need for the reward tiers.
My daughter loves coming and seeing movies here and its a great place to bring my wife on date night. A lot of the staff have been there since its opening and that gives it a very family run homey feel. There are a lot of other theaters in the area but I am a Marcus cinema movie goer for life. Keep up the excellent service!

I just wanted to add to my review: I had the most helpful worker this past Friday. I use the captiview system (captioning) for their movies, and am so glad Marcus offers this, but sometimes the system has some glitches. This attendant (I forget his name, but he was probably high school age, dark hair, tall) not only gave me the viewer but made sure it was properly programmed and even walked me to the appropriate theater to double check. Massive props in the customer service department! So Marcus managers, if you’re reading this, you’ve got at least one awesome guy working at the box office!

This poor theater. I feel sorry for it. It’s just worn out and tired.
I went here with a friend because I have the Passport, which is unlimited movies for $ 25 a month. I usually go to the north location on 23 for movie night with friends. It’s like night and day between the locations. The actual theater wasn’t bad, the projection and screen were fine. It’s just the overall feel of the place, like it knows it’s dying and doesn’t know what to do about it.
Shame…it’s a good location.

Standard comfy stadium seats. The typical concession offerings. The same shows that all the usual movie theaters are playing. I go here when movie-​ing with family.
The price of movies are high — but isn’t that the same for all theaters, everywhere!
