I went to Wal-Mart in Downey, ca to buy a few items and also a backup prepaid phone at&t, ther. Customer service was superb, very friendly cashiers and manager, she was so helpful trying to help cashier scaning the phone. It was a little tricky

I was looking for Adidas and Nike T shirts, which this chain sometimes has for $ 6 and $ 10. It’s back to school time and this store has its gems and duds. They carry shirts and slacks used in those schools with uniforms. They have street clothes, perhaps too street for most Unilocalers and better for teens than their dads. You can get your Hustler Brand T’ shirts, as well as Ecko, Phat Farm, and Avirex brands. I didn’t realize the skelton designs are still being sold. They even have skinny jeans, definitely for teens and not their dads. There are tennis shoes, dress shoes, and sandals. There were even some blankets made of «unknown«fabrics». WTF?.. I didn’t dare touch it, could it be wild dog or grizzly bear hair? Please tell us what these fibers are. Overall, some stuff is trendy, some of it is a couple of years old, some stuff is tacky, but most all of it cheap. There’s plenty of parking here. The first thing you notice when walking in is the loud FM92.3 radio playing classic soul, hop hop, etc. Getting ready to leave after checking out their $ 29 comforters(retail price of $ 50 plus) I noticed a grandmother and mother mouthing words and whole body shaking to Snoop’s «Bow wow wow, Yippee yi, yippee yay. They were in a good mood browsing through cheap boys’ underwear., much to the embarrassment of their 10 year old. This is one of their newest, largest and as of now, cleaner stores in the Target shopping complex next to Food 4 Less. What is in stock is never predictable here, because they buy overstocks/leftovers from stores like Wal Mart, Kohl’s. No luck for me on this trip, maybe some other time when I’m passing through this neighborhood.
