So check this… The wifey and I came about 2 months ago. The line was long, so I guessed the food must be good. Then we saw the sign«cash only» really ? Businesses Please we are so out of the caveman days get a card machine. So we left… Glad we did(why?) that part of the story coming. But today we stopped by(brought cash) Well when we ordered, it was just like a lot of what people here were saying. The cashier lady was a rude piece of work, no smiles, and not a bit of service minded personality was displayed here. She must be family to the owner or if they were smart, she would be gone. The food was just ok, not fantastic or great but filling and plentiful. We had a bowl of Menudo and chilliqueles, and topped it of with potato tacos . The menudo was kinda tasteless and watery. The rest was kinda OK. Not sure about a lot of others, but if service sucks… Then usually the whole experience does to. I was done with it after a while. Not sure if I’ll return. Now the reason why I was glad to leave last time. We drove north on Rosemead and with Unilocal’s help we found Baja Taco Mar. Wow awesome fish tacos, and pretty good shrimp and really nice potato tacos. This place was good. Drive a little more and check it. See ya.

Taco boy is awesome for anyone looking for good food and cheap prices. The food is a 4 on a scale of 1 to 5. The price is a 5. When I go it’s usually around $ 25 and it’s; me, my wife and my two kids(small). The wait is bad it takes them on average of 20 min to serve you try to avoid peak lunch and dinner hours or else you might regret Going there. Last and not least the rest room is a two, since you need to ask for a key and it’s old and kinda dirty. How dirty, like I have to use a towel to open and close the door.

I am never disappointed when I go to Taco Boy. It is the best Mexican food around. It taste like a homemade meal. If you are hungry and looking for a meal that will leave you satisfied and feeling like you got you money’s work, then go taco boys. I recommend the tampiqueña, it never disappoints.

This place used to be my favorite taco place but after tonight I was very disappointed. We ordered fine no problem, there was no line when we walked in. It took them 30 minutes!!! 30 minutes for 8 tacos!!! We got our food finally and it was pretty good except the al pastor which was barley warm. What was supposed to be a quick dinner turned into an all night thing and it was just ridiculous.

NEVERAGAIN! We come to this little restaurant almost biweekly. The food is good and the prices are fair. Its cash only and gets crowded. Unfortunately, the dirty blonde cashier is always rude to my husband despite how polite he is to her. She appears to be pissed any day of the week when she’s there and today was the final straw for me. I wanted to smack her mouth SOBADLY. I need to go repent after this!

The food is good, the service not so much. There’s this lady in the front that always has a mad look on her face and is always really rude when you approach her. Every time she is spoken to she gives you this really dirty look that makes you really uncomfortable. I really have to be craving the food from here to come just because of this lady to be honest.

My hubbie brought me here, and I thought… another taco place but they have more than that. The tostada de pulpo y camaron, is the bomb. My little girl loved the posole. The food was really good

I’ve been coming here for years with my parents. I didn’t wanna believe that this place was good but I was so wrong when I finally tried it. Service is pretty fast and food is always really good. The only sucky part is that it’s cash only. Get with the times people! It’s a bit of a hassle to always remember to bring cash when I come here. But aside that, it’s amazing Mexican food & the salsa is addicting also.

A variety of Mexican food. Weekends there’s menudo. Order from the menu when you walk in, take a seat then wait for them to call out your order then get it yourself. Everything has flavor. If you don’t want refried beans ask for frijoles de la olla(just beans) for an extra $ 1.

My parents discovered this place and like most Pico Riverians, I thought it was just another taco spot. But then I tried the chilaquiles. And to this day, I can say this place is hands down the best chilaquiles I’ve had(outside of my Tia Chuy’s in Cardsnas, S.L.P). The huevos rancheros are also equally tasty. I struggle in my breakfast decision every time I come here. The chilaquiles are perfectly made with the salsa cooked into the chips, the eggs fluffy, and the salsa on point. The red onion and queso fresco also add a nice touch to every bite. Their salsa bar makes it even better! Add the salsa fresca to everything! Breakfast ends at 1pm, but on the weekends, get here before 10:30 to avoid the line. The lady at the counter seems mean, but she’s super sweet. Cash Only

Really good authentic Mexican food, this is more of a «take the food to go» The salsa roja is the best.

I gave then 4 star for it being a cash only place. That means going to the bank to get the cash since I don’t carry cash with me. They have an ATM here with a charge. So it’s up to you to Use their ATM with a charge and hope the machine works when you get there or just go to your bank to get your cash. If we had the option to pay with the plastic then I might just give them that 5 star. Everything else was great. Food, service, and fast.

I’ve been coming here all my life. It’s my parents favorite place to come to eat, also, it’s walking distance from out home. You can never go wrong with their food here. Taste really good. Their chile rellenos are amazing and so is their shrimp cocktail. Their grilled chicken meal is really good also. It’s a place I’ve always have shared with my family. The only downside to it is the service. The lady at the front is not very friendly. It breaks my heart due to the fact that she knows we are regulars here, and even then, her attitude doesnt change. I’ve learned to just accept it.

I’ve been here a few times and yes, the food tastes very authentic. The prices are super reasonable. The bad: The lady who has taken my order is a b***. Once I asked for chorizo on my chilaquiles and told her I don’t mind the cost. She told me there was no button for that. Couldn’t she just charge me for anything? Another time I came in, I didn’t finish my coffee and asked for a cup to go, she told me they don’t give cups to go. I told her I still had more than half my coffee and asked her if I’m just supposed to throw it away. She just shrugged her shoulders at me. A third time she refused to serve me breakfast even though it was 5 minutes before they stopped serving it. Big huge B. IDGOMOREOFTENIFITWASNTFORHER. Needless to say, I no longer order. I take my bf and he orders now. This lady needs manners.

Still great food and service. This time was 2 males. They were nice. I got the fish taco $ 2.50. Oh my gosh it was soo good. Didn’t have sauce it was sour cream and I didn’t want guacamole(aka. Guaca-caca). The fish tasted really good. The season on the fish was delicious. My hubby got the chilli relleno and was awesome again. Place was a little fun but clean. Restrooms clean. This might be our new spot. It’s just 25 min from us. Wish it was closer but that’s ok. So far it’s been great here.

The service is good, the lady whom took our order was really nice :) The food is cheap, good quality! And the beer here is cheap xD! Can’t argue with beer that costs $ 2.50 ~

I was in the area and in the mood for tacos so ended up at Taco Boy. There was only one person working the counter: taking orders and calling out ready orders. They don’t give you a number or anything. They just call out the things you order so be sure to listen for that. Tacos are $ 1.10. I tried the al pastor and lengua. Al pastor was nicely flavored and comes with the red sauce on top already. The lengua was a little tough, dry and lacked taste. It comes with the green sauce on it. I also tried the tostada de ceviche. The fish didn’t taste too fresh which killed the taste of the whole tostada :(
