A must do when you are visiting the area. Have always stayed away from here because I felt it a bit touristy but man, feeding the birds are a treat not to be missed. The staff is extremely knowledgable and approachable!

Very friendly staff! My grandmother was with us, and they warned us that the park was rather hilly, which; they weren’t kidding. But the birds were everywhere! Very interactive and tons of picture opportunities! Feeding the birds was a fun touch too! Also, I feel like this place doesn’t get a huge amount of business because it is so far off the beat and path, though it is nice to get out of «travel traffic». Plus there weren’t very many people there when we toured. Would highly recommend!

This was our favorite stop while here in the Smoky Mountain area! My husband and I had as much fun as our 4 year olds did. It was a blast getting to feed and hold the birds and see so many beautiful birds! Thanks and we can’t wait to come back.

I absolutely loved my time at Parrot Mountain and Gardens! The birds were amazing to see and it was so exciting to be able to feed seed and nectar to some of them! I highly recommend visiting here if you get the chance!

A bit pricy, but the bird interaction portion made it worth it. My family got to hold birds and feed them by hand for as long as we liked. Strangely, there is a resident cat that was a favorite of my kids. There’s a baby bird adoption area — the birds kept climbing into my daughters hair, to her delight. A few of the parrots mimicked words. Worth it.

We visited Parrot Mountain & Gardens for the first time this week on our little holiday getaway and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! It was not that expensive(especially compared to the inflated prices in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge) and the experience was unforgettable. We had our photo taken with a ton of different species of birds placed on our arms and heads and it was so funny. We have our photo magnet on our fridge and every time I look at it, I laugh — it was that amazing! We also paid the entrance $ 2 feeding fee to feed the nectar to the birds and that was also a once-in-a-lifetime experience. At the end of the self-guided tour, you’re allowed to pet and hold baby birds — it was the cutest thing ever! I will definitely be back. Thank you!

Best money we spent in the Smokies. Family friendly and not over crowded on a Friday afternoon. Staff and other patrons very friendly. The birds are great! The staff was always ready with hand sanitizer and information about the birds. Highly recommended!

A hidden gem in the world of «gotcha tourism». I think well worth the price! VERY interactive exhibit if you want to hold or feed birds. we bought the extra two dollar ticket to feed the Lorakeets, which wifey enjoyed immensely! 75 cents worth of feed and we held and fed many birds. Nursery was cool! Birds look healthy and even some with warning signs not to touch were in love with us! Food was well priced and delicious also, seven bucks for a burger fries and a drink, so no gouging here!!! Enjoy this exhibit! Hilly walking is tougher on us folks with more seniority tho, so be ready

Great experience! Very interactive, you can hold, feed, pet many of the birds. The fees are a bit high however, not as bad as many, many, many, other poor to mediocre things to do in the area. My children enjoyed this as much as my wife and I did. The birds had big cages in the areas where they were even in cages. The staff is very friendly and truly care about and know each bird. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, it was exactly as advertised. I would definitely go back.

My wife & I love birds & own several ourselves but this exceeded even our expectations! There were exotic birds of every kind and we held about 20 between the two of us(not counting the 8 we took our picture with)! The friendly staff were always available to lend a helping hand. There were many families with small children there & the kids were loving the birds! The food was good & the relaxing, Christian atmosphere was a welcome respite from the busyness of Pigeon Forge. We are definitely coming back and bringing our family with us next time.

It’s uphill but it’s so worth the trip. The baby bird sanctuary allows you to hold and play with the babies. Awesome! Would highly recommend!

An extremely well done attraction, nice to walk through even without the birds. Feeding the lorikeets is a must; I only wish we had bought twice as much feed! Some of the parrots really tickled me. Note: like many animal attractions, this one is off the beaten path. Don’t let the back roads scare you, this is worth the short drive.

Not worth it.(maybe at ½ the price) Uphill driving, uphill walking, peppery fries, a couple birds in the secret garden are aggressive, some of the staff are even afraid of some of the birds. The $ 2 lorakeet feeding is the best thing there. Also make sure you see the nursery.

This is a beautiful gem amongst the craziness of the area. The gardens are beautiful and the birds are spectacular. you can feed the birds and they will talk to you and even come to you. This should not be missed.

Parrot Mountain is fantastic! I have to say that I was skeptical about visiting, but my wife wanted to go. I am really glad she talked me into going. The place is beautiful and and the birds are amazing. Everyone that works there is super friendly and genuinely wants you to have a good time. This is a must see for the whole family when you make your trip to the smoky mountains!

Beautiful place to spend an afternoon. They let you feed the birds and for a fee you can even get you picture taken with the birds on you. The birds seem pretty happy and well taken care of. If you’re in the market for a bird you can even purchase one but they are extremely expensive.
