Came here with our 4 kids. The meal and service were excellent. The wings are fantastic! Everyone was very happy, and we have some picky eaters.

My wife and I are somewhat pizza snobs. Traditional brick oven pizza just can’t be beat. After searching Unilocal while visiting the Pigeon Forge area, we decided upon Smokey Mountain Brewery. Nice place. We ordered the garlic cheesy bread, a salad, and the T-Rex pie. The pie was really good, had a nice thin crust, and the meaty toppings were tasty. I do not believe it was cooked in an oven without a conveyor belt, but it was good. The salad was, a salad… not much to write home about, but not horrible. The cheesy bread could have been better, seemed like some frozen garlic bread with their cheese thrown on top with extra garlic. Overall, a good meal… because we went for the pizza.

We stopped in for a quick snack while walking the strip. Husband had a 3 beer flight and he really enjoyed them. We ordered the naked sweet and spicy wings. They were good but we wish we would have ordered the hot and spicy instead. The pretzels with the mustard and beer cheese dip were the best part. Definitely try this appetizer.

Back for a second time. Great meal. You have to get the pretzels! This location was easier to get to although harder to find.

The Smokey Mountain Brewery was not bad, but it was full on amazing either. While visiting the Pigeon Forge area we stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and it was fairly empty. There was six of us, and we were seating right away and our server was great. She handled every ones orders and got everything correct. Me being a beer lover had to try the 10 beer sampler. They were all decent to good. Most of them seemed lighter tasting and some lacked in flavor. The white IPA, the stout, and the porter were probably the stand outs for me. Now for the food… A few people ordered the cheese steaks, and seemed to like them. One person had the fish sandwich and had no complaints. One person had the boneless wings and seemed to really like them, and said the sauce was amazing. I had the grilled chicken and ranch sandwich. I was expecting a grilled chicken breast, but it was more of a pulled/chopped up chicken. The smoked cheese and peppercorn ranch were both really good. The girlfriend had the wings with the thunder sauce and she liked them. That sauce is really damn good. Over all it was a decent lunch and reasonably priced, but nothing spectacular. However I would try it again next time I’m in Pigeon Forge.

Smoky Mountain Brewery was a great lunch spot for us on our mountain vacation. I recommend the broccoli with beer cheese as a side(delicious!). Both beers we got were exceptional — the Windy Gap Wheat was especially light, crisp and fresh. My husband and I both got burgers and they were cooked perfectly. The option to take home single beers was also a plus!

3 ½ stars” Tried this place for dinner and really enjoyed the cold beer and pretzels with beer cheese. We also ordered a pizza and it was a little step above Digournio’s frozen pizza. I would come back for drinks and appetizers.

In short, the Smokey Mountain Brewery in Pigeon Forge, TN was a terribly disappointing, and a maddening experience. From wait staff to management, it was an utter embarrassment to the owner of the establishment. We arrived at 6:30pm with a party of 7. We were told there would be an hour wait. This was understandable for a large party at a place that was fairly full upon arrival. We waited. During our wait, two separate times a party was ushered in ahead of everyone waiting. Twice, a waiter/waitress came up to the front when a party entered and said, in front of everyone else to hear, «Come on in guys I got you a place ahead of everyone so you don’t have to wait.» Seriously. I was pretty shocked at the boldness of these ignorant wait staff. Once seated, the waiting continued. We were seated at 7:40pm. It took awhile for our waiter to come to the table. We ordered. One in our party had to order from the GF menu due to her Celiac Disease. She had to be rather forceful with our waiter to ensure he understood the severity of her condition as he had a dismissive tone & demeanor about him. We ordered an appetizer that arrived fairly quickly. However, he only returned once in the following 45 min’s to tell us that the food was, «on its way,» and«its not my fault.» Although it didn’t seem too crowed for other families to be served as every table around us seem to get their food. During this time he visited out table once. — ONETIME! After about an hour, I got up and went to find the waiter about our order. He then said, «I mean, man there’s not really anything I can do.» To which I simply said, «Well I’ll tell you what you can do, you can come by our table to at least acknowledge it. Bring appetizers, chips, something. Acknowledge that it’s even a thing.» We then asked to speak with the manger. We waited… no manager. Nothing. If I’d been the manager, I’d have rushed out. Finally our food came out. An hour and 15 minutes after we ordered it. The manager finally came out from behind the kitchen where he was cooking food. We spoke to him about our issue. As with our waiter, he immediately launched into excuses as well. I was shocked. As much as we explained our issue, he just didn’t have anything to say to help. No apologies, just excuses. When he said, «What do you want me to do?» We said that if we were in his shoes we would not make us pay. He paused for a long time. You could sense that he did not agree or want to. Finally, after a rather heated exchange he agreed to cover the meal and literally just walked away. Yes, he just walked way. If you have a free night to ruin, or an enemy that you’d like or treat to dinner — check out Smokey Mountain Brewery.

Nice little spot. Loved being able to see where they make the beer through the large glass windows. A very laid back ambience. We were able to sample some beers, including seasonal beers before we ordered. We tried the pretzels with beer cheese dip and created our own pizza. Everything was delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and offered great recommendations for what we were in the mood to eat. Great place to go watch some weekend football or basketball games. If we’re ever in the area again, we will definitely go back.

Horrible service after the greeting, we arrived about 4 pm on a Friday. We were given our paper and told to go to the top of the stairs to be seated. A girl immediately greeted us and sat us. End of story, saw 2 groups seated around us, drink orders taken and drinks brought and no one acknowledged us. After 15 min We got up to leave and a server asked what we want to drink after I asked for a manager. The manager was leaning against a wall by the bar instead of making rounds to verify his staff was doing their job. He did listen but obviously isn’t properly trained for this. Nor would he have been able to fix this, it was a disrespect to us as diners and unacceptable.

We found this brewery several years ago. Tamara was our first waitress. It’s employees like Tamara and Christina whose warm smiles make you feel welcome and appreciated. Couple their service with exceptional beer and food selection and price for a tourist town and customers will keep coming back. Credits are also due to those in the brewery and grill. Great Job! TVs abound and there’s no bad seat in this venue. Do Not Miss It when you’re in town. Mustang USMC Retired

There was a lot of food be careful… Lol you will want to eat it all. I did not have beer. I do not like it but I still had a great time.. There are also many many tv’s to watch.

Great service and food! My boyfriend said the pizza is on the top of his favorites list, which is really hard to achieve. My burger was pretty good and the broccoli with the beer cheese was delicious. We also got the soft pretzels with the beer cheese. Comes with five soft pretzels, appeared as though were just microwaved Super Pretzel minis. They were soft and yummy, but the beer cheese didn’t add much to it. There was also a live band playing that my boyfriend really enjoyed!

After a morning of hiking in the National Park, we were told this would be a good stop for above-average beer and average food. I’d say that assessment was spot on. I had a flight of 6 different beers and the boneless chicken wings. Beer — all pretty good, nothing fantastic. Food — also good, but not memorable. All in all, it got the job done all I’ll likely go back. The prices on the beer flights really can’t be beat($ 7 for six 6-oz beers).

The beer flight was fun to try, but be sure to eat while you drink or you may have to sit there a while before you get up. Some of the mild beers were a bit tasteless. There were a few IPA style ones that were very strong so they seemed to balance out. My husband had the bacon cheese burger with the mac & cheese side dish. He said the burger was ok, but he’d had better. I had the Turkey Rueben with mac & cheese also. The sandwich was very good. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very sports bar like.

Overall, a great find in an otherwise boring food area. The beers are not to my liking(too bland, watery), but they have a full bar, so you can skip those. The pizza was great! Plus, the live band was actually really good, so that was a plus. We ordered the 10 flight of beer, and here’s my assessment: 1 nice 2 not bad 3 watery 4 light, no flavor 5 no taste 6 no flavor 7 bad, horrible(who puts raspberries in beer??) 8 coffee 9 ok 10 hoppy mommy likes In addition, we tried the not to be missed beer cheese pretzels. Those were great! The Brewmaster’s pizza was delicious, and the service was spot on. My complaints would be only these: my daughter’s pepperoni calzone had too much breading, not enough fillings, and we ordered bacon on our pizza, which was not added, but in truth, it really didn’t need it. Definitely would return if ever in the area again.

My wife and I are both beer drinkers, we love to try any and every kind of beer. As you could probably guess, we’re in the area on vacation. We rented a cabin and have been cooking every night, but tonight we decided to eat out. While searching on Unilocal we came across SMB, and we had to go. Food looked good, and we were both excited to try some local brewed beer that we can’t get back in Indy. This place isn’t easy to find to an out of towner. GPS doesn’t get you there, just near it. The only sign I saw for the place was right on the building out front. Pretty common in the mountains for GPS to malfunction I’ve come to figure out. Not a big deal, but there are a lot of nice small shops near the brewery that you’d never know were there either! Upon arrival we were greeted promptly and seated. We decided to order a beer flight, sampling 5 of their beers in 5oz glasses. The server was knowledgeable and told us about each beer, and when he dropped them off made sure we knew which was which. We both enjoyed all 5 beers while we tried their spinach and artichoke dip. The beer was great, the dip was not. Very runny, and lacking in flavor. Far from the best I’ve had, and unfortunately not the worst. For dinner we shared their buffalo chicken pizza, which was seemingly a mix of Buffalo and BBQ sauce. Sweet and spicy, what a combo. After our server dropped it off we had to send it back to have our pizza cut. Minor mistake but the name of the game in the restaurant business is attention to detail. The pizza was actually pretty good, loved the dough. It was supposed to have blue cheese crumbles, I couldn’t find or taste them on the pizza. All in all they have great beer, hit or miss food, and our server took care of us. I would go back and try a different appetizer and pizza.
