There are a few Mellow Mushrooms in the Pigeon Forge/​Gatlinburg area, but this one is slightly different. This is their quick service restaurant, rather than full service with a wait staff. You order at a counter and get your own beverages (unless its a bar beverage). They have indoor and outdoor seating. Located in the Island area of the Pigeon Forge Strip.

Very good pizza crust. Sauce tasted good. We got pizza one night and a hoagie and calzone another night. Service was quick and hospitable. The cookies at checkout are good too. The second time we were a little drunk from moonshine, but I don’t think this affected the experience for us. In case you’re wondering French bread tastes the best with alcohol.

We ate at a Mellow Mushroom in Asheville and we loved it so we were please to know there was a MM on The Island. Pizza was great, of course we ordered enough to to have the next morning. The Greek salad was very good, the large was big enough for my wife and I to split. Will come again.

Ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza, I needed to put something on my stomach before going to the moonshine place. It was alright, one slice isn’t filling, but it was ok. I would visit there again, just not if I’m going to go drinking right afterward.

Well, the drinks are rather expensive. $ 2.99 for a soft drink. Pretty steep if you ask me, especially since most convenience stores sell 2 liters for around $ 2.
But hot DANG that was a good calzone! I got the house calzone and added garlic. And ooooooh the garlic is real.
But is the calzone worth it? That depends.
If you don’t have to pay for the drink? Yes.
If you do? Just bring your own beverage dude. Unless you like water with your meal.
All in all, satisfied my hankering for garlic, and the calzone was nice too.

We ate here New Year’s Eve and it was a great experience. We had a great waiter and the food was delicious. The pizza crust is by far the best. The pretzels also make for a great appetizer if you’re a bread lover.

The restaurant is very clean and the bathrooms have a baby changing station inside of a stall which was the positive for me. The pizza was just OK though. There are much better places with pizza in the area.

Garbage! Terrible pizza, slow service. The pizza took forever, then came out cold and was not even a good price. This place is basically a psychedelic cici’s pizza quality establishment, with beer.

Eh… Was looking forward to this due to the good reviews on here and trip advisor. The pizza was okay, but I actually thought Big Daddy’s wood fired pizza was better.
We had to wait a while for our food as there was a mix up with the table next to us and they had to make them another pizza.
My son even picked up on the fact the waiter was searching for a table to deposit a Caesar salad at and, in doing so, had put the receipt right on top of the lettuce

Even on a busy July 4th Saturday, the place is clean (enough) and super friendly (though I don’t see too many big tippers). Many people seeking shelter from the on and off rain, and quite a few children at the elf serve soda machine make extra work, but the wait staff was unperturbed and cheerful despite the confusion. Crust was amazing, as good as any pizza Ive had, or better!

This Mellow was a bit different than the others that I have been to. You order at the counter, and then they bring the food to you once it is ready. I ordered a calzone, and it was good! My sister tried a specialty pizza, and she loved it. I like the regular restaurant setup better, but it was still a good experience.

Wow what sucky service. Had to go to the bathroom to get Xtra napkins for my 8 month old son. There are better options around pigeon forge then this dump. The pizza is good. But any pizza off of a rock is better then what your used to. Just slow service. I don’t expect you to be on point all the time but act like you want a tip and want me to come back. Was very confused by these other good reviews on Unilocal.WILL NOT BE BACK!!!

Different style of pizza than I am used to… Would definitely recommend Mellow Mushroom if you have never been there. All shorts of different kinds of toppings from many different meats to about any vegetable imaginable. If you are a pizza lover, this would be a good change up for you.

The food was ok. The atmosphere was pretty cool. We had a couple of issues with our order. They actually forgot our kids’ wings. That is the worst person in our group to be missing part of their order. Anyone with kids, understands. They refunded us the price of the wings, but they messed it up in the first place by bringing us half when we ordered a full.
I would probably go back, but it would be awhile and only to sit at their outside patio without kids.

Great pizza! Cool location you just have to walk a good ways! Unique pizza flavors! Great views if you eat outside. Cute ferris wheel and merry go round right next to it. Staff is nice. Clean.
