Staff is friendly. Service was extremely slow. Not the fault of our server. It shouldn’t take an hour and a half to have pizza brought to the table. They pour a skimpy cocktail. I ordered grey goose on the rocks and the glass wasn’t even a third full with ice. I’m not wasting my time to go back.

There’s something off about this place. My husband and I cannot put our fingers on it though. We’re not going to be surprised if the place suddenly says«for lease» on it — let’s leave it at that. Hopefully our intuitions are wrong! The Food: 1. Drinks: the Jalapeño Sangria is DELICIOUS! I have never seen that on a drink menu before – that was awesome. 2. Appetizers: We had the Charred Octopus and the Rice Balls. Both were great. I especially like the marinara sauce – it has a very rich taste like it’s been simmering all day. 3. Pizzas: Mexican and Bader Sting. We thought they were just ok. My husband is not a food at all, and he said he’s rather save money and have Blaze in the Willowbrook Mall. I personally think the dough has a great texture… as does the homemade bread that is brought to the table. 4. Dessert: Flourless Chocolate Cake and Maple Caramel Custard. We loved both. Now for what I saw around me. the table next to me got pizzas before their drinks. The table to the other side of us got their pizzas while still eating appetizers. I personally don’t consider this good service. I guess it’s worth a try, but don’t go out of your way to try it.

I was pretty excited when it first opened. and have been there several times. If I had jumped the gun and reviewed it in the beginning, I would have given a worse review. It is a bit pricey for Pizza and the valet situation can be difficult on a busy night. but I have tried a few different pasta dishes and the food is good, the drinks and beer selection is very good, and the service is decent.

Great food but they need to invest in better chairs. Hard to enjoy a good meal when you are super uncomfortable. Note to the design team– over 50% of the population suffers from back problems.

Thanks to Charlie @woodstack for hosting my brothers birthday bash. The food was amazing as always! Only 3 out of the 15 of us had been there previously! So you Charlie you now have 12 new fans. Sergio was a patient and efficient server. We will be back! Again and again!

Food was good. Not worth the price tag on some items and very skimpy on appetizers(barely any octopus in the charred octpus). Overall the food and drinks are good The service was deplorable. Our waiter rushed us to get our drinks in and then rushed us to order. Food took forever and not ONCE did our server come to check in. Instead the manager came over(about and hour in) and explained that food runner was new and bringing food to wrong tables. Then the manager took our order for more drinks. Another 45 minutes and the food finally came out. Still no sign of our waiter. He did finally do a drive by «sorry it’s very busy tonight» but in all actuality. not that busy. We had to flag him down to get our check and he comes back with it promptly and then disappears AGAIN. We had to flag another waiter to get our bill paid. He then only to returned in time to get his tip, to which he was suprised at the amount. Meanwhile we were surprised we even left him a tip. Also to add, while he told us how busy he was, he was constantly attending to his OTHER tables. Ignoring us pretty much entirely. 3 hours 200.00 bill Waiter appears 4 times Ignores us/rushes us. Dotes on other table Only appears again for tip(lucky to get anything) Food was«ok» Very disappointed customers. We will not be returning, and why would we when we can go ANYWHERE else and get the respect and courtesy we deserve. 2 stars is generous.

When the best part is the free bread… yikes. Wish I read the reviews first because any place that has such skewed reviews is bad news. Design is awesome. Food not so much. Putting tap water in a glass bottle doesn’t make it taste better, guys. Sorry. Really thought this would be a «pizza» place. More like Italian based dishes than anything. Had the little Crostini app which was fine but would’ve skipped out on if I knew we’d be getting free bread but I guess they planned that. Pizza was burnt as fuck! Just inedible but I do not send food back because I don’t like waste so I suffered thru a few slices. Arugula was put on raw and just not incorporated well. Bacon marmalade was just odd. Really disappointed :( And wtf is up with the valet? Didn’t want and didn’t ask for and we had no cash to tip so we felt like assholes.

I have been here twice. All the pasta is homemade! Very good. You can definitely taste the homemade flavor. For my drink I got the spicy red sangria. It has jalapeño infused tequila, so if you like spicy this is the drink for you! As an appetizer we got the risotto balls, which were amazing. For dinner, I got the gnocchi with pesto, mushrooms & tomatoes. Very good, gnocchi is definitely homemade and melts in your mouth. My mom got the pappardelle bolognese & she liked it. I’ve had that here before too and it was good! Will definitely be back!

I came here early on a Friday night and was surprised to see complimentary valet service. But when we had finished our meal we could see how crowded the parking lot was. The parking lot looked kind of scary actually which made me relieved I didn’t have to worry about getting my car out of that mess. Service from waiter and bus staff were good, both polite and attentive. We decided to go with the basics, I had a glass of wine and my boyfriend had a beer. The prices were normal. We had the margherita pizza($ 12) and winter fell pizza($ 16). We thought both were great! To me, pizza needs a good crust and Wood stack had that. The margherita pizza was standard with fresh basil. The winter fell had chopped brisket, cheese, no sauce, red onions and a drizzle of bbq sauce. I was only able to eat 4 slices. I could hardly ever finish a personal size pie. I’d say we will be returning in the future.

My grandson and I enjoyed a top rate meal. Service was so friendly and professional, manager very attentive and enthusiastic about his restaurant, it was 100% delightful to relax and experience many different plates of great food, and one glass of delicious New Jersey crafted pale lager. So many things are house made, including fresh mozzarella and country bread, and many others including desserts. My grandson was so incredibly happy with his meal including homemade dessert. Their spring menu comes out in a few weeks, we will be back!

The experience was something pleasant and exciting. The décor and ambiance was clean and inviting. The food was neat With flavor. Margherita pizza wasn’t spectacular but nor did it disappoint. Overall, if you are looking for good food and a nice place to relax with friends you can’t go wrong with Woodstacks. Also — side note… There busser hustle. Never an empty glass of water on the table. Go find out for yourself.

I think this place could do better. We shared some app’s, pastas, and a pizza between the 4 of us. Server presented himself strong at the start but after a while he was kind of just repeating the places mantra… yeah we get it, everything’s home made guy. Would’ve been better if we were brought the pastas we ordered?(the one’s that came were delicious still) It was tough to get some of our party some of their beverages and sweetners, we had to ask a couple times for them. While the pizza was topped beautifully it was not charred with a spotted bottom as advertised but full on burnt. Yeah I expect the edges to be black but the bottom of the pie shouldn’t be a uniform black. I think it was an off shot as the pictures I am seeing here look better. I also have to re-iterate the pie was topped beautifully and they have some really cool options like bacon marmalade. I hope the next visit is better.

Wonderful atmosphere! Reminds me of the restaurants we have down south, but with a northern flair. Pizza is spectacular and the bread is amazing. Try this place for brunch, you won’t be disappointed. A welcome break from the traditional Jersey style diner— food is crafted with care!

Had dinner last Friday with another family. The food was generally pretty good, and I rarely lower a restaurants rating for anything other than food quality, but this time I have to… I had ordered 2 Manhattans with top shelf bourbon, my buddy had to Ketel One and sodas. The bill came… His drinks were $ 9 each. Fairly standard. Mine were $ 17EACH!!! I thought there had to have been a mistake. I order the same drink virtually everywhere I go, and even in the city I don’t pay $ 17! Most local places charge 11-$ 14. Seventeen is outrageous. I called over the manager and told him this must be a mistake. He checked with the bar and said, NO– that’s what we charge. His excuse was that the drink has 3 ounces of liquor so they price it like a «double.» A. The drink was no bigger or stronger than places that charge a lot less B. If I drank 6 ounces of booze I would be pretty buzzed. In fact, I felt virtually NOTHING from the 2 drinks! The manager asked how the food was and I said, «good, but we won’t be back.» He nodded and walked away.

Reading all the negative reviews made me hesitant to try this place. My experience was a pleasant one from start to finish. Yeah it’s a bummer to have your car valeted but it was not an inconvenience. The valet’s were very respectful and quick. I do agree self parking would be nice but it’s a lazy person’s dream to have a car valeted. The place was completely redone from it’s previous shell(a Spanish restaurant if I am not mistaken). They definitely added on to it(I guess that took away parking spots and hence no self parking). When you enter there is a hostess stand and a bunch of tables to the left. To the right is a wide open bar area(against the left wall) with a bunch of comfy seats and a couple of large communal tables with plenty of seating(they are non movable stools). To the right is the kitchen with an open floor plan(two big wood burning stoves) and lots of fresh baked bread… speaking of which the bread is pretty damn good. Crusty on the outside and doughy on the inside… great match with their soft butter. We sat at the bar where they gave us a nice chunk to start out. They have several beers on tap… most local. Full bar with a limited amount of wines by the glass. Our bartender was fantastic! Prompt, friendly, funny and always smiling. Their menu isn’t overwhelming. Italian apps, pastas, entrees but more importantly pizza… oh the pizza. We decided to split two pies. They are personal sized and can be managed by one large individual like myself. WINTERFELL — brisket, fior di latte mozzarella, pickled red onions, bbq sauce LOLA — guanciale, leeks, farm egg, bechamel, truffle oil, pecorino romano Their crust is solid and airy. Not too doughy. The slices are able to manage whatever is on top of them and not fall apart. Both pies were unique and delicious. I even tried the brisket minus to the pizza to see if it was quality, and yes it was! The only gripe is their prices. The two pies are were $ 16 each… pricey but worth it. Beers were on the moderate side and their wines were nearly double digit per glass. It is definitely a good spot to take kids… it’s not loud but since it’s so big it doesn’t get to be deafening. They do have HH prices and are closed Mondays. ENJOY!

Awesome new place on 46 in pine brook! The outside is just gorgeous and totally made me want to check out what was inside — it was very different from the restaurant that was previously there. Once inside I loved the look and feel. The lumberjack/lumberjill theme totally hit the spot and it shone in all aspects. It’s a really large space! I think it would be really cool to check out for happy hour or even weekends out. I think I saw a area for private parties in the back too. As for the yummies: They make their own bread, pizza doughs, and pastas in house. [[Hubs thinks they make their own cheeses too, but I don’t remember that line. ]] Food was great. You get bread and butter! Bread was hearty and had yummy air pockets. We ordered the meatballs, the seppe pizza, and 30 hour porcetta. No complaints with anything. Meatballs were really good — and was over this creamy goodness that I don’t think I’ve ever had before. Pizza was a good size and the fresh ingredients on top really shone through. Porcetta — 30 hours is crazy and I’d never seen anything like that. it was super crispy almost like it was fried. It came with these awesome crispy fingerling potatoes too. Beers are from breweries in the area — mostly drafts from NJ which is super cool. There is a number of wines available by glass and even more available by bottle. There is also a cool cocktail list suit to fit many different tastes, including an N.Y.F.A.P(not your fathers Arnold palmer) complete with bourbon, ginger liqueur, iced tea, and charred lemon. Cool! I hope more establishments complete with well thought out menus and cohesive themes come to this area!

Their pizza is to die for! I came here on a Sunday evening for a quick bite to eat with my husband. He ordered the pancetta — and I ordered a Version of a margarita pizza that had pesto on it. We sat at the bar, had great service, delicious drinks, and delicious food. Hope this place sticks around, because it is a great place if you’re in the area and looking for something savory and delicious with very cool décor to go along with your meal.

3 stars it is! I should have trusted Unilocal reviews and shouldn’t have gone there. This is a new place with a very nice design and it looks very appealing from outside. But the menu, the food and the service didn’t impress me. The pizza menu is limited to about 8 pizzas and if you don’t like the combination of the toppings — too bad, no other choices. I had a really hard time picking my pizza as the toppings combinations were not my taste. I ended up getting Marmalata pizza with bacon and it tasted good — everything is better with bacon! The crust was good, but burnt. I understand that good pizza is made in high temperature oven and should have blisters, but not burnt crust! I also tried prosciutto pizza and it was good as well. The crostini trio for appetizers was ok. The goat tomato one was good, eggplant one was ok, but ricotta peas one was absolutely plain with no taste. Draught beer menu is very limited, no ale or regular wheat beer. The service needs improvements here. They messed up our drinks every time we ordered another round. The complimentary bread came after our pizzas and we had to ask for it! Tap water had a terrible taste! It could be ok place for lunch. But I’m not going back for dinner.
